Props to Mollie Brunn at the service counter for a really great experience. She was polite, professional, friendly, and fast. I went in to transfer a vehicle title and registration into my name and was expecting that it would take forever. I had an appointment thru the AlohaQ website that I made a week ago and went in about fifteen minutes early. The location was pretty full, so I was glad that I had an appointment. I checked in at the front and was instructed to take a seat to be called. They have an electronic sign board behind the counters so you can see your appointment number, time, and place in line. Mollie called out my name about 5 minutes later and directed me to a window that was closed. She helped me there and verified my paperwork, and instructed me how to complete it. The entire process only took less than 5 minutes, and I was done with my new title and registration in hand. Hooray!!

I've been working on handling my dad's account for quite some time now, and all three of my visits have gone smoothly. Each visit helped me better understand the process, and although the wait can be long for walk-ins, I'm grateful to have been able to get everything taken care of efficiently. When you arrive, security assists you with either the mobile check-in or entering your SSN into their system. After receiving your ticket number, you simply wait to be called. There's also a screen displaying the numbers currently being assisted. Restrooms are conveniently located nearby, and the air conditioning keeps the waiting area comfortable. I've walked in twice - the first wait was about 30 minutes, and the second was 1 hr and 40 mins. The one time I made an appointment, I was shocked when they called my number right on time! :) From my experience, those needing answers to general questions or assistance with small stuff may be helped sooner than visitors requiring account changes. Yesterday, I went to update the bank account number for direct deposit and was told I needed to go back in line since I was a walk-in. Thankfully, I was still helped as soon as a space cleared between appointment times. This was the long wait lol Overall, this is the office I'd return to whenever I need assistance with Social Security matters. Parking is plentiful, and I truly appreciate the staff's willingness to help. 23 November 2020 My…read moremother has a long overdue appointment. Due to covid19 the facilities were locked down and assumingly severely delayed USCIS processes. Anyway, she was finally able to get an appointment. We arrived downtown super early and was able to find parking along the street. It was still early so we sat in the car and waited. There is a parking garage for the plaza with access from Pohukaina Street. Parking fee is $3 per 30 minutes. Nearer her appointment time she wanted to use the bathroom before going in so we walked around the plaza in search of one. She remembered seeing one in the parking garage during her last visit so we headed to the parking area. While there we did find a bathroom however, it was locked and required a code to access it, which we did not have. We went to the nearby guard station and asked them about access to the bathroom at which time they gave us an access code. USCIS has offices in Building 2, floors 4 and 5. Depending on which part in the process you are will determine which floor your appointment is. My mother's appointment was on the 5th floor so we took the elevator there; I'm sure there are stairs in case of emergencies, but I did not see them from the ground floor. Inside, the elevator opens up to a security guard checkpoint. The guards ask for your appointment letter (you can only access with an appointment and only the application is allowed beyond the security checkpoint) and then they have you place all your items in a bin to go through a scanner. You then go through a body scanner, similar to the airport scanners. Once through the security checkpoint, immigration officials have desks with security glass to process applicants. There is a small waiting area but, I'm not sure who that is for since only applicants are allowed back. I was only allowed back after Michelle, the official working with my mother, asked to speak with me. No photography or recording devices are allowed, and definitely no weapons even if you have a permit to carry. Both floors are heavily secured. There are three guards a both security checkpoint on each floor (& those are only the ones I saw) and there are security cameras watching every angle.

Legal proceedings in Kapolei, Oahu, Hawaii…read more.. Also known as Waianae District Court, the Kapolei Courthouse is located in the Ronald T. Y. Moon Judicial Complex. Thank goodness for clear signs... I found Courtroom 1A without needing to ask anyone. The bailiff was sitting outside the Courtroom. He asked for my name, but couldn't find it on the docket. Yikes. I was almost sure that I had the right day, place, and time... He wrote my name in... next to "Registered Owner of ___(license plate number)___". Whew... We went in, took a seat, and waited for the Judge to arrive. He started exactly at 9am. I liked his local accent. For example, he said, "When you're pau, don't leave right away. Wait for your paperwork." LOL! I was called forward first... I was asked to state my name. I showed my placard and received my paperwork. I was done very quickly! Thank you!

I've gone through two divorces now because I'm obviously a great judge of character like that, and my dealings back in 2016/2017 were nothing but helpful at this courthouse, and mostly were like that still until this clerk ended up being the one I dealt with the past two times. She started noting what I needed to correct in the document, then brought up a child support document that I already knew about and didn't want to file, nor is it mandatory, because I have the Guidelines Worksheet already done, and yes, I am trying to keep child support out of the equation as much as possible because as a child of divorce myself, I know it gives parents the wrong motivations to have overnights with the kids. I just want to move on with my life, and am fine to keep supporting the kids financially myself, but apparently this clerk somehow has authority over what I file, so she tore her notes off, told me that if I wouldn't do things her way, she wouldn't help me, and handed the document back. Apparently this lady has been a menace for customers since at least 2018, so I'm guessing she has tenure or connections, or something. So Kapolei, you have an amazing courthouse with very helpful staff, but this lady is the wart on your otherwise beautiful face and reputation. Please get rid of her, or at least transfer her to a position out of customer service. She's absolutely atrocious with people. If not for her, I would have given 5 stars.

At 9 am the door to the building is still locked while people are still lining up others left in disgust. Mind you this is a real location, but the one on richards st (1 block away) is way better, I was in and out in 15. There are also locations in Office Depot/max. Some guy in line said he came last week and after two hours they told him computers slow come back next week, only to stand in line to an unopened building. One guy had the phone number to the office and no one answered. It's now Monday and I wonder how long did they wait only to have to go back home. What could they do better? Not make Saturday appointments if the office is closed. If they are open but no one is showing let the hoard of people know versus letting them wait outside for hours. Communicate if computers slow after 15 minutes tell everyone it's up to them if they want to stay but it's slow. Check if the first website that turns up is legit or if there's a glitch with doling out Saturday appointments vs choosing, cuz why is it you can choose a time on the second site listing?
