Was immediately welcomed by the two sales associates who let me know there were several racks of suits that were 50% off. No way I could resist that! I swim an hour a day and also do water aerobics daily so I go through swimsuits quickly! The best part about their swimsuits is they have built in bras. Like real bras and in my size! I tried in several sizes and styles to determine which would work best. The sales associate brought me at least a dozen suites, always patient and very helpful. It's not fun or easy trying on so many suits but with her help, we figured out my correct size, determined the best style and picked the most flattering colors. The aqua blue was not available in my size so the sales associate searched other stores and is having it shipped, express, from CA to my home, at no charge. I walked out with two gorgeous tankini tops that have lots of support for the "girls" and are super flattering - for $88! Without the patience and assistance from Amara,I would have given up. I read the other reviews and have to say that my experience was vastly different from those that had a negative experience. I received an immediate greeting, was told about the stellar sale, and had assistance until I found what worked. The sales associate was super friendly, made great suggestions and even assisted me with trying on the swimsuits. The topic of my move came up in our conversation. We were only able to find a few in my size and she told me not to worry there's a store on the island. Today I went to the shops at Wailea specfically to go to Canyon Beachwear. The sales associate extremely rude and unprofessional. When I walked in she didn't acknowledge me until I had made a comment to my husband about not getting assisted (which was after a few mintues of shopping and looking through racks in front of the associate.) We were the only customers in the store and she even glanced up from her cell phone when we walked in the store. As I was browsing she even stepped out of the store and stood in front of the doorway to have a conversation with someone who happened to be walking by ( which I'm assuming is a friend) since there were no other associates in the store at the time I ended up purchasing a top from the store but when I left I went into Maui Clothing Company and the sales associate was awesome. I will not be purchasing anything else from Canyon Beachwear and now on will be going to Maui Clothing Company.

Many of the suits in the front of the store are rather pricey--$30-80 per piece for a bikini and $100-200 for most one-piece suits. There was also an issue of tops being available in one color, but not in the bottoms and vice versa. (I know mixing colors is popular, but I prefer to go with the same colors and patterns.) I saw the $9.99 sale rack and got really excited. For that price, I won't be picky with the colors. Unfortunately, the one-piece suits on "sale" on this rack were still over $150 and the bikini tops were so tiny. If I tried to shove myself into one of those tops, I would be cited for indecent exposure. It's a shame because the colors were really cute. If you don't mind paying for a more expensive suit or mixing your colors/patterns, you should be able to find something here. However, if you are just looking for something simple and economical for your vacation, you may want to check elsewhere.
