The suits run small. I wear a medium and I need an XL in the top and large in bottoms. Paia has kind of gone downhill though allowing the homeless to run it. One of the items was a bikini for our 5 year old, which she grew out of within 3 months. We purchased a new Acacia swimsuit for her in the next size up and when we got home we measured it against her previous Acacia bathing suit and it is the exact same size! Beware the kids size XL and XXL are exactly the same size! I explained all of this to Acacia and they said the bathing suit is the same size as the previous one because this particular one is designed to stretch with wear, yet it is digging into my kid's skin and leaving marks. They won't take the suit back or even offer a discount on a new kids suit. We feel totally scammed.

I remember picking up a dress and debating "do I want to try this on..." and right away, one of the gals came over and asked if she could start me a fitting room. It didn't feel like a salesperson pouncing on a sale. It felt almost like a slumber party atmosphere! The original sales gal and 2 other workers were now involved and they made it so fun! Once I got in the fitting room, it felt like a fashion show. But instead of everyone telling me "everything looks great/cute" (toxic positivity), they were using their expert language and asking ME how I felt or what I thought. I really appreciated that! They grabbed me other sizes and showed me other versions of outfits (wide leg pants vs. oversized button down vs. shirt dress). I actually wore one of the shirt dresses out! As I was checking out, I noticed another part of the store. I completely walked right past it! And that was their jewelry side! I fell in love with 2 necklaces on that side! By this time, the owner had come out and it was a full blown party. I recently lost my mom - out of habit, I went to call her to ask which of the 2 necklaces she loved best. I had to use the gals at the store to be my stand-in-mom-energy, and I ended up treating myself to both! Now those pieces were expensive (both 14k!) but I wear them every single day.
