We decided to try Hong Kong out while waiting for cvs to fill a script. Sesame chicken was really good and the sauce was not overbearing like most take out places. The egg rolls and fried rice were so greasy I just tossed them but the chicken was excellent. General Tos was just as good as the sesame chicken Vegetable LoMein was very good and not to greasy. For some reason it came with rice and I have never had noddles and rice. Was a bit much. I would recommend this place in town for inexpensive quick Chinese food. Not the best but for the area it works.

We were a party of six, and service felt a bit disorganized at times. Some of the staff members don't speak English, so the cashier had to step in to assist, which I personally don't mind, but it did slow things down and affected efficiency. That said, the food was very good, and the tea was just as enjoyable. Everything we tried was flavorful and well prepared, and the ambiance was pleasant and welcoming. Despite the minor service hiccups with a larger group, I would definitely return, just with a smaller party next time. Great food and drinks make it worth another

The venue decor is clean and simple and the staff is very friendly. We kicked things off with soups. I had the hot and sour and my wife went with the egg drop. Both were a perfect start to the meal, full of flavor, comforting and surprisingly filling. Next up were the dumplings and an order of wok fried noodles. The soup dumplings were delicious and packed with flavor although the dough was a bit on the thicker side and leaned slightly toward a pork bun texture. Still very enjoyable. The noodles were excellent with a great depth of flavor. Overall, a very solid experience. We will definitely be back soon because there are plenty more items on the menu that we want to try.

As dingy-looking of a Americanized Chinese takeout restaurant as you'll EVERRRR find in your life,…read morebut some of the food is very much passable. Located in the busy Broadway District in Fair Lawn, Great Wall was anything but great-looking. Everything about it screamed "dirty". Unfortunately, I ordered online my very 1st time here, so I had no idea what it looked like. I had an inkling based on Yelp reviews, but no idea really. The menu here is as typical as it gets for these type of takeout restaurants. We ended up ordering a small Beef with Mixed Vegetables, 2 orders of the Fried Dumplings and 1 large Hot & Sour Soup. First, the Beef with Mixed Vegetables was OK. The beef was cooked through, but the corns inside had a little bit of a funky taste. Surprised? Not really. The highlight for me from here, if you can call it that, were definitely the Fried Dumplings and Hot & Sour Soup. Honestly, they were some of the better Fried Dumplings I had ever tried from an Americanized Chinese establishment. Also, the Hot & Sour Soup was decent and had some actual sour-ness + heat to it. Great Wall is what it is. It's hard to get by it's appearance and you might think you're counting your blessings if you survive eating from here, but the Fried Dumplings and Hot & Sour Soup are ACTUALLY good from here!

I've ordered numerous times and every time I've been happy with the dishes. Some are better than others but not one dish I thought was bad. Who knew? I emailed him and Jae Wong responded explaining that they still sell their dipping oil but it is sold as "spicy sauce" on the menus. Fast forward he has 3 locations in NJ and 1 was downtown Hawthorne, just 1.5 miles from me!! I just feasted on his recipes including the dipping oil!! Cant rave enough!! The time I spent researching online was worth every minute!! Biggest fan, Katie

Beef was tangy spicy (but not too spicy) and crispy and it came out hot and fast. Appreciate the fact that the beef was not chewy or tough They also add these crispy onions on top of their bowls which is a nice touch. My boyfriend got the Cajun pork cutlet bowl over lo mein. You get to choose your base for the bowls which is nice. The lo mein noodles are thicker than the typical lo mein noodles you see at Chinese takeout, these look more like pho. Either way, I tried a bite and they were great and the flavors were there. My boyfriend also loves their soup and the homemade chips are awesome. In terms of ambiance this is more of a daytime spot. Not too many seats. It's very bright inside maybe because there's a lot of plants in there on the wall. It's still nice, just not that dim nighttime ambiance and there aren't a ton of seats . You place your order at the register or they also have a convenient self order kiosk. We will be definitely be back to try everything else on the menu.
