Diagnosis from uncooked shrimp. I got sent to the ER from throwing up blood.

Undercooked. I was excited to get my usually shrimp lo mein until it gave me the stomach flu. Unbelievable. So the staff is rude and doesn't cook their shrimp all the way?

Mongolian Beef

I used to eat here a lot, but it's been years. I'm not sure of it's even the same people from last time. I just went through the drive thru. I ordered Mongolian Beef, which is something I order frequently at different Chinese restaurants. I waited for quite a long time for my order, which isn't that unusual for this type of place. There were wasps all around the drive thru, so be careful if you're waiting. I had to keep my windows rolled up to keep the wasps out. When I got home, I was really shocked at the appearance of the food. It was really clumpy and congealed; there was barely any meat. I took a couple of bites, but really didn't like the taste at all. The rice was okay, so I picked out the few pieces of meat and ate then with the rice. I threw the rest of the icky mess away. I won't be back.

Springfield/Cashew Chicken.

This place really reinforces the phrase, "Looks can be deceiving." A friend spoke highly of the food, so that helped me get beyond the initial outward first impression of the place. It really is a dive or hole in-the wall type of place. I had the Springfield/Cashew Chicken and it was excellent! Service was fast considering the size of our group (9). I will definitely be back!

For Chinese take out in a small town...it's really good. Best part, it doesn't taste mass produced and it's fresh. Also...white meat chicken and free soup while you wait. Need I say more!?

Chicken lo mein no veggies, orange chicken, fried rice no veggies.

this is OK for Chinese buffet. The hot and good. Not much ambience but you know that's not why we go there.

I enjoyed the welcoming talk from the owners. I thought the food was okay but I prefer a more Chinese buffet style but everything was fresh.

This is by far my favorite Chinese restaurant in Warrensburg. It has amazing food and isn't all that expensive. Would definitely recommend.

It's pretty much on UCM campus, easy to get to, while food was just ok except for the excess spice and oil that killed the dish..

I'm from out of town but was born and raised in Marshall, where my parents live. Every time I visit…read morewe go out to eat and I have to say, coming from a big city, the options are limited. A while ago I decided to surprise mom and dad with take out when they got home from church. OMG! It was so so good! It didn't just rival the restaurants that I have visited in the city but far exceeded most. I will have to say that we've been to other restaurants with the same cuisine in Marshall that were truly bad... I mean, avoid at all cost bad. Well, the other day I visited mom and dad again and we decided to go to China Inn. It's small and nothing fancy like the restaurants that I'm used to visiting in the city. However, the service amazed me. I like hot and spicy... really hot and spicy. I asked if they could make it really hot and she understood. Just as anywhere I've been, when they brought the food it wasn't spicy enough for me. Don't get me wrong, it was way too spicy/hot for mom and dad but I've developed a tolerance that mom and dad don't have. All the same, the waitress brought out a little bowl with their hot sauce without me asking for it and told me that she could bring more if I wanted. I was stunned to say the least. I'm not used to this "hometown" treatment. My only con is that is that I live so far away. I did leave the best for last. The Garlic Shrimp that I ordered was absolutely amazing! They didn't skimp on anything as so many others do. The veggies were fresh and there was way more shrimp than I expected. It was so good! In conclusion, I plan on stopping by China Inn every time I come to Marshall and ordering takeout to bring a little of Marshall home with me.

I really enjoyed this restaurant!…read more I saw that a friend had eaten there and have been looking for good Chinese food in Lee's Summit. This is good Chinese food. I dined in and enjoyed the very hot Crab Rangoon and amazing sweet n sour sauce. It was thick! Loved that it wasn't runny. I ordered the Mongolian Pork, extra spicy with pork fried rice. Both were super hot and delicious. Very impressive! Loved the sauce and fresh veggies. The restaurant is clean and well run. I would totally return.

I tried China King in Lee's Summit after seeing it voted as one of the best Chinese spots in the…read morearea, but I honestly don't agree with the hype. Ordering was a bit frustrating--you have to do it through DoorDash even for pickup, and it doesn't let you customize much. I tried to add shrimp to my fried rice by leaving a note, but I had no way of knowing if they saw it. Turns out they did add it (with a $4.50 upcharge), but I didn't find that out until I got home and opened the container. It would've been nice to be notified or asked to confirm the change as it says it will and asked your preferred way to be contacted. As for the food--it was just okay. The fried rice was super yellow and didn't have much flavor. The sweet and sour chicken was fine; the breading was a little doughy for my taste, but nothing a few minutes in the air fryer couldn't fix. It's hard to mess up sweet and sour chicken, but nothing about it stood out. They estimated a 25-30 minute wait, but my food was ready 15 minutes early and they sent a text when it was done, which I appreciated. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. If you're craving good Chinese food, I'd look elsewhere.
