I ordered the general tso's tofu, veggie fried rice, steamed dumplings and spring rolls and literally none of it was good. Absolutely zero flavor in anything- like they didn't use seasoning/spices or sauce at all. The dumplings were very doughy, the springs rolls had barely any filling and the fried rice had LETTUCE in it. If you put lettuce is something hot, it wilts. Wilted lettuce is not yummy. You could see sauce on the tofu but couldn't taste it. I was so disappointed that nothing was even somewhat palatable. Will not be back and would recommend against coming here. read more

This Chinese restaurant has been in the neighborhood for a little while now. The food is great no complaints. They are quick and clean.

Typical Chinese American food. Sesame chicken was mediocre. Another place that doesn't toast the sesame seed with the stir fry which brings out the flavor of the seeds. They shake it on at the finish. This meal was like eating stir fried chicken nuggets in sauce with broccoli. The rice was tasty but no egg, boo. Price was good for the lunch special, $6 bucks. Place could use a renovation. Looks dumpy. read more

Stopped here for takeout dinner after a long day - we ordered the garlic broccoli and General Tsao's chicken with brown rice and an egg roll. The restaurant and kitchen seemed clean and organized, but there isn't really a good sit down area to eat. Our order was ready in a few minutes and we were on our way! I liked the garlic broccoli, but the garlic was very mild and the sauce was very sugary. The egg roll was pretty small with very little filling. It had a strong ginger flavor, which pepped up the typical bland cooked cabbage. The chicken tasted a little off, probably wouldn't order that again. Overall, the prices were good and this place is conveniently located right next to the subway station, so I'd come back, but will stay away from meat dishes. read more

Maybe it's because I went to a really good sit down Chinese place recently but I ordered sweet & sour chicken here and I was disappointed. The sauce was too thin for me and the chicken more soggy than crunchy. I'd consider trying other things from the menu (I'm happy to see some different things that the other Chinese places don't serve) but I think this means I'll have to stick to sit down places for Chinese food. read more

This review is for their boneless spare ribs, because they're all I've had since coming here for the first time in July. I fell in love with them and wouldn't dare to cheat on them with any other dish. They're probably the best boneless spare ribs I've ever had. They always taste fresh, bursting with barbecue flavor, and you always get a good cut of meat; nothing too fatty. There is usually a 20+ minute wait for them. I was even told one hour one time. To top that off, they had run out of them one night. It devastated me, and I've been calling in fear ever since. The fried rice isn't anything to write home about, so I usually get white rice and blast it with Sriracha sauce. Then I douse the boneless spare ribs and rice in hot oil for added perfection. Anyway, try the boneless spare ribs if you end up here. Or don't, because they might run out of them again and I will be crushed forever. Four stars until I try more food from here to warrant a fifth, and they start accepting VISA, but these are definitely five star ribs. read more

Great local Chinese place, cheap prices and decent food. Nothing fancy but very good, compared to other Chinese places in the area its the greatest restaurant to happen since sliced bread. My only advice would be to avoid the lunch/dinner specials as its a lot of rice compared to the dish itself. Also the egg rolls are very salty (an addon of the dinner special). read more

As far as standard Chinese takeaway goes, this place would be a great addition to any neighborhood, but out here where options are limited, it's a life saver. It's cheap, tasty, not greasy at all and obviously clean (they have an open kitchen). General Tso's I had was nice, not soggy, and Singapore Mai fun was spot on! Cash only business. Sometime they like to fool us and give us nasty, dog-food type pork dumplings instead of the chicken dumplings. It's happened 2 or 3 times and finally on Saturday I had enough, and we went back and confronted them about it. They apologized and made us fresh chicken dumplings, and they are exponentially better than the nasty pork ones. (Pork ones are probably frozen and then just microwaved or something when ordered. they are brown nasty tasteless smelly mush inside a think, gelatinous dumpling wrapper.. ewwwwwww. the chicken ones have a thin wrapper, fresh ground chicken and chives and they are sooo juicy and amazing. don't let them fool you.) read more

This has been my lunch spot for as long as I've worked in the area. The place was great. But over time, they have become just as bad as your average NYC Chinese restaurant. They raised the prices and then cut back on the quantity of food. I could see if their food actually stood out but it seems like every other joint. Used to eat here all the time when I lived around the corner. Would either get take out or delivery of general tso's tofu or tofu with veggies, both are good at a good price and they come out quick. Consistency is underrated -- every time I ordered from here, it would be just as good and taste the same as the time before. So great. read more
