Interesting cafe decorated with all 50's memorabilia including the waitress dressed in a 50's outfit! This place is pretty small & has a lot of homemade baked goods. We chose instead to get eggs. Both our meals were very good & cooked perfectly. My husbands omelette was very big & he really liked the potatoes that came with his dish. When in the area, we would dine here again! read more

Ordered taco salad. Came out with ground beef badly burned. Returned for remake. Came back out with burger no longer burned but no spices used at all. Other member of party ordered Buffalo chicken with vegetables--Cucumber and carrots. Came out with lettuce and tomato. Only. Overall disappointing experience, and we are pretty easy to please. Other weird things about this place. Water is never free here. Bottles of Poland spring. I was curious about how much they charged, but there were no item prices on the receipt, just a total. Seemed reasonable so I paid it. Overall a somewhat strange experience. read more

It didn't need to be, but we had a big group and all our food was brought up at the same time.Everything was warm. We were there for a late breakfast. A lot of us took home dessert.Pour snacks for later. Puff pastries were perfect. Not too much sugar. Very fluffy. read more

This is a unique and wonderful place to have an excellent breakfast and lunch. The prices are reasonable, and the food and service are excellent. It's owned by a group of women that take pride in offering great food and service. One thing to remember that all restaurants, big and small are facing rises in the cost of wholesale food. Honey's menu is quite reasonable. I would suggest that before you go to Honey's, look at the menu posted on their website. read more

Got an expensive underwhelming hotdog and expensive bottle of water. Biggest rip off I've had in a while. The service was good, and the decorations were good I guess. Overall the place did not feel very clean, but the bathrooms were fine. Just in general not great and really is a rip off for charging $4.50 for a 25¢ hot dog. read more

The wrap was 12$ and smaller then my fist, they advertise a few different spots that it's farm to table and if you want quality food then you have to wait because they take forever to get a order out. The Chicken was under portioned and from a can, there was no tomato, there was a small leaf of lettuce and the ranch tasted like ranch flavored water very underwhelming and quite disappointing considering the cost and wait time, my co worker also ordered the exact same thing and received the same results there Cajun sauce is just miracle whip and paprika, and the breading on the pickles from experience I can tell you is a dry batter on wet pickles, anyone who makes fried pickles to sell to someone knows that you must use a wet batter, the pickle fries were under par and not coated all the way, because of the incorrect preparation. We called the restaurant after we left to ask if there food was actually farm to table and they claimed that EVERYTHING was farm to table and we brought up the canned chicken and the owner said oh yea not the chicken but everything else. So thanks for knowing under portioning me canned chicken on a slab of tortilla poorly wrapped for 12$ and not even give me tomato or adequate amount of lettuce or even actual ranch. WILL NOT COME BACK HONESTLY stay away from most food establishments from deposit you're better off 2 minute driving it down the road to wendies. Both me and my coworker experienced food poisoning for 30$ a piece so if you're interested in that then hit up honeys 50's cafe. read more

We were in town for a weekend. Honeys came recommended from our Motel. Walking in the first morning for coffee , we were met with a smile from everyone. The coffee & breakfast was amazing! Every direction was followed, the coffee was perfect! We went back the next day and great service and food again for breakfast. Unfortunately later that night we went back for dinner and we were disappointed. I got a cornbeef Ruben but it definitely was not corned beef it was not edible. My husband wasn't thrilled with his burger either. But I definitely recommend for breakfast and they have cute little sweets! Plus the decor is awesome read more

Honey's cafe is very cute inside. Lots of photos of Marilyn Monroe, Elvis etc. The servers were friendly and my greek omelette was delicious. The next day i went back and had pancakes which were nice and fluffy. My daughter had burgers each day and loved them. My son and husband had buffalo chicken sandwiches but they were subpar. When going to honey's be prepared to wait a while to get your food. If you are in a rush this is not the place for you. read more

This used to be another diner. Guessing it changed hands. It's right off Rt 17 and has plenty of parking and seating both. It has a large menu, but also a large ice cream part to the menu. Different from other diners on that point. Kind of interesting. read more

Great food friendly staff. Whether it's the wine slushies, or the variety of hot dogs,, we will be back!

Honey's was absolutely delicious! Incredibly friendly staff and awesome atmosphere. My boyfriend and I got bagels, buffalo chicken sandwich, and mac salad. DELISH! Highly recommend and will definitely come back. :) read more

Honeys is a fun little spot in the small town of Deposit. We made a pit stop here on a long drive, so this was a perfect place to recharge with some coffee and ice cream. They had a retro theme and played many hits from the 50s and 60s. Our server was very friendly and they certainly offer a killer malted milkshake. read more

Took my elderly mother to Deposit yesterday to look at some houses. Have never been there before but saw Honey's on a website. Saw that they made their own home made chips. I love chips! Let me just say that they are amazing! So worth stopping in for. Cute diner, lots to choose from on the menu and the 2 servers there yesterday were so sweet. When I'm nearby again, I will definitely stop in for their chips. (my bacon cheese burger was perfect too along with my moms sweet sausage & onions sandwich) read more

This is now my second time at Honey's, and I absolutely love it! I do not live in the area but I do camp in the area from time to time. I came across this honey hole of a place to eat and can't wait to go when I am heading up to the area. The food is great! They have so much to choose from, as well as dessert after and baked goods to go! It really is a great place to stop. The owner is wonderful, and her staff is awesome too. They can never do enough for you! I will certainly be going back when I am in the area, or I may just start camping up there more often, not only for the views but for my favorite stop off Rt. 17! read more

Great small town atmosphere with friendly and fun staff. If you want something that you do not see, ask they will make it if all possible. Best pasta dishes in town. read more

My friend and I went here today for the first time. The staff was very friendly, there are many options to chose from, the portions were generous, and the food was great! You can tell they pride themselves on fresh ingredients. The burgers were huge and definitely made fresh. I would definitely recommend Honey's to anyone! read more

Really awesome roadside diner with a great omelette, BLT, and super-creative desserts! I also had an egg cream and it was really nice. Next time I'm gonna get a french toast sandwich. All the staff were super nice and we can't wait to go back! read more

First time at Honeys cafe and my friend Marie and I had an amazing experience. Great food and awesome service ! Highly recommend stopping in for a quick bite plus the atmosphere is very classy ! Tracy the owner and also the chef makes a mean Philly cheesesteak with all the works. read more

My family and I were traveling through the area looking for breakfast on a Sunday. I was having a lack-of-coffee meltdown, and I was so glad that we found Honey's. The staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating. They had everything we ordered which was pancakes, breakfast sandwiches with crispy bacon and even a veggie omelette with a wide variety of fresh veggies. The decor includes a large jukebox, although it is unplugged they told us it actually works. 1950s Hollywood star framed posters and ads, and 45 records on the walls. It has a cute sock hop/drive-in decor vibe going on. It also sits stream side to one of the states highest ranked trout fishing rivers. The menu has a 'fisherman's box lunch' to go, however we did not have the opportunity try it. read more

After having to service my car in the shop next door, I decided grab a bite to eat at Honey's, I had some over easy eggs with home fries, a sausage patty and white toast. I'd say the taste was delicious, the texture felt home made and the hospitality received made me feel right at home. The owners consist of a lovely lady and her husband, they are both nice and welcoming and don't mind suggesting options if you don't know what to get. The ambiance was quite comfortable and the background music suits the theme of the place and isn't too loud. For those foodies, the food here is . For those techies, Honey's offers free WiFi and outlets if you choose the right table next to a wall. And for those who are fond of paranormal stuff, ask them about the ghosts, they'll share hilarious stories as to why they believe their establishment might be haunted . Overall, I loved coming and eating here, I'd recommend it to those in the future that are in my current position of waiting for your car to get fixed at the shop and to any locals that live in the area read more

If I could give it a 0 I would, two of my family members had hair in their foods (one in ice cream and one in a sandwich, side note how do you get hair stuck inside of ice cream...?) This place is so unsanitary and I do not recommend it to anybody!!!! ALSO I ordered boneless wings and I'm so disappointed in what I received, they look like chicken nuggets...NOT EVEN chicken nuggets. read more

Recommend by a local, we stopped into this roadside on our way to Ithaca. A very friendly woman welcomed us. Seems like a family run place. The menu is pure comfort food: meatloaf, pancakes, grilled cheese, fried chicken, ribs. Portions were very generous. The turkey bacon wrap had home cooked, thick sliced turkey. No processed turkey disks here. BLT had a lot of bacon. Only downside was the french fries. Asked for them crispy and they were soggy. Tip: get the homemade potato chips. Yum! read more

Very cute local spot in town. Our server was lovely and the food was tasty and well priced. Would definitely return!

Yummmmmm. We ordered egg sandwiches for pick up on a road trip. Easy ordering, ready in 20 minutes, and easy on and off the highway. The sandwiches were DELICIOUS. Great little place. read more

In town for the weekend with the wife and need a place to eat lunch. From the outside and the décor it doesn't look like much. But our surprise the food was awesome. Wow, best burger I had in a long time! Actual real good bacon and the homemade fries were awesome! Why stop there I said, so I order a 2 scoop Sunday with hot fudge and peanut butter. It blew my mind! The two workers there kept me amused also. Will be stopping by on my trips upstate from now on. They are making holiday pies that I will be ordering for christmas. read more

Chicken salad with dried cranberries sandwich on a long roll was delicious. Scoops of Hershey's ice dream we're huge.

Always a pleasant experience. The owner is a wonderful women to talk to and the food is delicious

We stopped here on our way up towards Corning, due to the rave reviews. It was just the cutest place! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and the food was fantastic. We heartily recommend the burgers-fresh and tasty, and the ice cream (of course!). Plenty of outside seating, and a walk up window for ordering so there's no need to enter. Really enjoyed our surprise stop! read more
