We had a large project and knew the price was a little higher than some previous contractors we know, but thought if Palmetto trusts in his work and he's that familiar with the project requirements we would stick with their recommended installer to get the job done. The work crews did some minor damage to the downspouts, but nothing we were upset about. The problem is, they didn't complete the work. Over one window some fascia was left off and left the underneath exposed, another piece was uneven, some joints were uneven, and some gaps were left between the brick and fascia. I trusted Dan to have his crew return to repair these minor issues, and tried working with him for over a year, accepting his promises that they're just busy and he'll get to it. Couldn't have been more patient. All wasted breath. Very disappointed in the breakdown of communication and lack of respect for a $50k plus roofing job being completed correctly. These are minor things that could be done in a half day at best, and yet here I am leaving a review. So now I need Palmetto to intervene, or pay another roofer to fix the work and file in small claims court. Disappointing.

I was instructed to provide a receipt for the damages, which resulted in the need for a new pool liner. Now, Dan Taylor claims it is scientifically impossible for nails or debris to damage a pool liner. If the company had simply tarped my backyard, none of this would have happened. The attached picture shows debris caught by my solar skimmer on the day my roof was installed by TaylorMade Solutions. However, based on density, most common roofing materials sink in water since they are denser than it--this is scientifically proven. I am still waiting for Dan to contact the pool company that installed my liner for further insight into the cause of the pool damage. I provided their contact information to Dan on August 11th. I am at a loss for words. Consumer beware: If you are combining a new roof with your solar package, I recommend researching the contractor before adding them to your solar contract. I also suggest following up with your solar company--Palmetto in my case--to inform them about the poor customer service I experienced while waiting for a resolution. I am out $6,533.62, plus additional costs for refilling the pool.

You want…read morea company whose growth is based on word of mouth, and one that will be around in 25 years to honor their warranties. I'm a first-time homeowner with a modest budget, converting my home into a zero-emissions building. EIS was recommended to me over and over again. I got quotes from multiple companies, but only EIS's sales guy, Ian, did a tour of the whole property and listened to me talk at length about how I intended my installation to work with the other systems of my soon-to-be fully electrified home. I had deliberately bought a house with a south-facing yard so that I could do a ground mounted install in addition to the roof. Ian told me they could install a ground mounted system themselves, but it would look more industrial and possibly out of place in my small yard. But if I built my own backyard pergola structure, it would look more like something that belonged in my small backyard (and it would be cheaper). As I'm sure he knows, an installer would make more money, faster, if they didn't tell me that. I respected his decision to tell me, and it's why EIS won my business. I'd never built a pergola before. I couldn't use a kit, because I needed it to fit the specific constraints of my yard, the angle of the Sun, the zoning maximum height limit, the minimum property line setback, the minimum height before I'd hit my head, etc. I had to design it myself. The panels were in metric and the lumber was in imperial. EIS corresponded with me in detail throughout at least nine or ten revisions, all before they'd received any money other than my token down payment, and - though it would have been easier and more money for them - they did not ask me to reverse course and pay them to build the support structure themselves. There was another hurdle in the process. We had trouble finding me a lender. Although I have a mortgage, aside from that, I don't really go into debt. I buy everything in cash. That means I had no credit history. You'd think that would mean my credit would be perfect, but the American credit score system was designed by concussed cave trolls. Although I had the savings and income to cover what I needed to pay back a loan - and I was not by any means the poorest client EIS had ever worked with - it was hard for EIS to find me a lender. Again, it would have been easy for them at this stage to simply abandon the project and move on to more profitable clients. They didn't do that. They found me a lender, and we worked it out. I now have a working rooftop and ground mounted installation supplying my home with more than 14 kilowatts of power: enough for all my future electric appliances, plus an electric car. Today, it was cloudy and rained all day, and I still generated more power than I used. If I'd just wanted a rooftop install, EIS could have been done in a couple months. But my more thorough requirements created a lot more work for them. Now that it's done, I'm very glad we did it all. I will be calling EIS again as soon as I am ready to install batteries in a couple of years.

However, the 5 star experienced stopped there. After they took away the dumpster, the driveway had large scrapes (which the dumpster company documented) and there were oil marks left all over the driveway. I was in the driveway when the dumpster was removed and talked to the driver while he took pictures of the damage. EAS confirmed they'd be fixing it and was even specific on how - they would be using a pressure washer on the whole driveway so it looked consistent. This didn't happen - they sent roofers over with scrub brushes, which obviously did nothing. I went back and forth with Kristi in the office who said they would make things right, particularly the scrapes/gouges. The last comm I received from them was October 6, 2025. I tried them again once the snow has stopped and they didn't respond. At this point I have no choice other than to give them a bad rating. If they want to actually respond and fix the driveway, I would happily reconsider the rating.

We recently purchased a 100 year old house with a slate roof that appeared to be on its last legs. Though at first we thought we had a few years left, we quickly discovered multiple leaks. When we started calling roofing, several said that repair was effectively impossible for a slate roof of this age (quoting an astronomical sum for a replacement), and additionally that because of the existing slate, even replacement with an asphalt shingle roof would be extraordinarily expensive. One company that only did slate roofs even looked at the job and refused to bid because the replacement was "too large for them." One of our big goals was to keep the house in touch with the aesthetic of the neighborhood -- which meant that slate or tile was really required. While they did bid a full replacement as well, Robert's suggested that a repair was also possible -- effectively writing a contract that would repair all damaged slate that they found including damaged underlayment (but not structure damage). They noted that they preferred to repair the roofs since it was overall less wasteful and can get significant extension on the roof life. They also had a decent quantity of "pittsburgh weathered" slate that was in good condition, based on other jobs they had done in the area where they had been able to salvage the slate. This reduced the difference in the appearance of the replaced slate when the job was done (though our job was large enough to need additional "new" slate as well). Their bidding process was by far the most professional we saw of any company -- they used a drone to evaluate the roof, and as we moved towards signing a detailed typed contract one of their foremen came out to evaluate the roof directly and ensure they would have enough material to complete the work (in our case, this did result in revising the contract price up slightly). Other companies literally wrote up a handwritten itemized scrawl for their 6 figure replacement cost, based on evaluation from the ground only. Along the same lines, both during the bidding process, as well as during and after the project, it was always easy to get someone knowledgeable on the phone -- regardless of if it was a question of cost or a technical question about the install or replacement. Additionally, Roberts was able to supply several addresses and photos of in progress repairs they had done. I do wish that they could have had a number of these ready to go (they should be proud of the work they do!), but it took a few days for them to supply them. That said, it was reasonably easy to see repairs they had done that looked quite natural. They also help to arrange for a subcontractor to replace dormer siding on top of our slate roof without a mark up. While the work was underway the crew was very professional. The site was impeccably clean every day after they left. They also patiently spent time with me answering questions about progress every day. During the work, they did, indeed, discover that several rafters had failed necessitating emergency structural repairs. They did the work to immediately effect the repairs and left the roof watertight all within one day. Obviously this is a highly stressful situation for a homeowner, but their crew and central office both demonstrated a zen-like level of calm and focus that was extremely comforting. To do this repair, they did need to tear some holes in the ceiling of our finished attic -- and did some additional damage inside the attic due to how the tarps were taped to the ceiling plaster, but they also connected us with a contractor they trusted who was able to repair all of the interior damage. As the work proceeded, it quickly became clear that there was significantly more damaged slate than they had originally anticipated -- all in, it was approximately half of the total roof area that needed to be replaced. However, they kept their commitment to take the burden of the cost of that overage, and we paid exactly what was quoted, plus a comparably modest sum for the unanticipated structural repairs. Since the work has finished, we've been able to rely on them for advice about other related projects on our roof, which they don't do directly (notably, questions about various tradeoffs on our gutter system that they weren't able to subcontract). Several months after the repairs, we noticed some of the underlayment in the garage appeared to have been split/damaged during the installation of the roof. With basically no questions asked, Robert's sent out a team and made the necessary repair. Though no project of this scope is without minor issues, Robert's clearly went above and beyond my expectations from a roofing company to deliver a solid repair and have demonstrated that they are committed to the happiness of their customers. I highly recommend them.

That's exactly what happened to me. I had my 2025 Tesla Model 3 tinted here on February 25th. The appointment was scheduled for 1pm, with a 3pm pickup. We arrived early at 12:30. Toby, the owner, informed us he needed to drop his kid off at an appointment and would be back shortly. He returned at 2:40pm. That's over two hours late to work on a car he promised would be done by 3. He then finished the full tint job in just under an hour. If that sounds fast, it should. When he handed the car back, he mentioned casually that he'd nicked his finger during the job. It was bleeding. I didn't think much of it at the time. Then I got in the car. Blood on the front windshield tint. Blood on the rear windshield tint. Blood spots on my headliner. Let that sink in. A grown man bled into my car and handed me my car like nothing happened. The blood was the most alarming part, but it wasn't the only problem. The film had visible wrinkles and misalignment that we noticed before we even left the lot. When we pointed it out, Toby brushed it off. "It'll go away on its own," he said. Getting a refund required a full day of back-and-forth. When we returned the next day, there was no apology. Instead, the person at the front desk actually pushed back. Her exact words: "Toby has been doing this for 30 years, and he has never done a refund. If you think about it, this is a good thing for you." Read that again. They put blood in my car, and I was supposed to feel grateful. We eventually got the refund and asked them to remove the film. When we brought the car back, Toby wasn't there. One person handled a removal job that needed two. The film came off, but so did five of my rear defroster lines. Destroyed. That's a repair that costs more than the tint job itself. So let me do the final math. I didn't save $50. I spent $60 in Ubers driving back and forth. I lost five defroster lines. And I still have blood stains on my headliner that I can't get out. Whatever he quoted you, it's not worth it. If you're still browsing reviews trying to decide whether to book here, let my experience be the last one you need to read.

It was a super rush job and not done well. We waited a month hoping the smearing and bubbles would dissipate. They did not so my husband reached out to the shop. He was told to stop in because a redo is only covered "ONCE". He arrived and that was repeated again as if it wasnt understood the first time. It was confirmed to be a crappy job. Appointment was set for removal and redo. We even left it longer hoping it would be done correctly. I (his wife) picked it up once the truck was done. I took it to my husband's job and dropped it off. He said it was worse than the first one. Extreme dust, bubbling, UNEVEN BROW, and chipping on parts of the tint. Yes this is on the Fresh REDO. He was highly disappointment and again the job was rushed. Not sure if the carelessness was due to NON important customers. This place legitimately did not have good customer service from the front desk women until it was time to pay. Nor did they take pride in doing a good job.
