This is a section of "coping" that they missed which was the most important part in preventing water from coming into my house.
    Mam M.

Initially I had given them a five star and a good review. When I met with Zach the evaluator for EAS roofing, my initial feeling for him and the company was that I liked them and that they would be able to take care of my roof leaking issues. Zack told me everything that I wanted to hear. Zack told me that I needed "Coping" all around the perimeter of my roof. They did it, I paid a lot but the issue continued. I had them come back again, they told me that there was something else that needed done for an additional fee. They "did whatever they did" but the leaking continued. They looked at it again but the issue persisted to continue. I had another company look at it and they told me that the main issue with the leaking came from my chimneys. But they mentioned that whomever had done my Comping left a bunch of unsealed holes where they had tried to screwed some screws, and a bunch of other sections where they forgot to seal the seams of the coping that they did do. Just now I am having my chimneys rebuilt, and one of the crew members pointed a section where they was a hole on the brick that was missing about a foot of Coping, where most likely the water was coming in from. I was going to have them come to take care of it after much stressful arguing back and forth. I wanted them to come do it in the presence of my chimney company people, but once again there were excuses as to why they couldn't. They wanted ti come on Monday when they would be by themselves but as you can imagine, I don't trust them based on learning about their personal character. Unfortunately vindictive people exist. I am not saying they are but who knows and why risk it. I have decided to just forget about them, take my loses and have someone else take care of what they couldn't.

In the 3 years since they put in a new roof and gutters on our home, 4 shingles have fallen loose, and we recently decided to call under their "10-year workmanship warranty". In the 4 months that have passed since, they've come to our home 6 times and caused 2 leaks on 2 different floors, destroyed the gutterguard they charged $3000 to install, punctured the metalwork on our windows, dented the crown of the roof, destroyed our landscape lighting, left literally tens of trashbags in our yard, left our master bedroom and living rooms walls destroyed by water, used the caulking and towels out of OUR OWN garage to plug the holes they created, and simply ruined our home (this list could go on). Caulking, rusty nails, and broken, dangling flashing can all be seen from the street as the roof stands now, and EAS is telling us they've just "replaced" it. If you are seriously considering having any work done by this group, please see the photos included in this review. They were taken by a licensed roofer.

    Dormer side shows damage
    Don E.

EAS was quick to respond and within what I expected to pay. They did a 'cold install' leaving gaps in the valleys because the shingles were too cold to bend and fit in tightly; they damaged the dormers and external window sills (mansored roof), and when shown the damage made no offer to repair. The chimney is on the outside wall of the home. Around the chimney they lifted the shingles (on the upper side of the roof) to divert water around the chimney only succeeding to open a gaping hole under the shingle they lifted. There were other places of poor workmanship and lack of technical understanding on how to correct it, besides the unwillingness to take responsibility. In the end another contractor was hired to repair their damage.

Dents and scratches to window frames.

EAS replaced a side roof and it was a generally good experience. Rather interesting customer service.

Their contractors might be good but their sales division is so terrible that I couldn't actually get to that.

So far, I have hired this business two times--once in 2022 and once in 2024. In 2022, I noticed that my house had missing roof shingles, a leaking skylight, and dirty gutters. I contacted the owner Tony to request an estimate for his services. A few weeks later, Tony arrived at my house on time to do the work. In under one hour, he reattached my missing shingles, repaired the exposed flashing and nailheads (I am explaining the technical details as best as I can!) around my skylight, sealed the area around my skylight with caulk, and cleaned the debris from my gutters. The total cost was very reasonable. In 2024, I noticed a water stain on the ceiling in an upstairs room in my house, and I wondered if my roof was leaking. I contacted Tony, and he said that he could set an appointment for the very next day! He arrived on time, and he made very courteous conversation. He did a full inspection of the exterior of my roof, which he said was in perfect condition except for some loose flashing around my chimney. He repaired that flashing. The price was very reasonable. He also informed me that I have bees or yellow jackets that are living in a wall, so I will contact an exterminator to solve that problem. I greatly appreciate Tony's prompt, skilled, and friendly service!

Our gutters were leaking in three seams, so we considered having the gutters sealed. A representative from Gutter Pro arrived at our house to give us an estimate. He suggested that we could instead replace the gutters for a reasonable price. We got a second estimate from another gutter company that was pushy and overpriced, so we decided to hire Gutter Pro to install new seamless gutters. For the next couple of months, we scheduled several dates for the installation. The appointments were cancelled for various reasons, such as gutters not being in stock, a worker's car accident, snowy and icy weather in the winter, and some unknown reasons. In early March, an employee arrived at our house to install the gutters, but he realized that we had no gutter aprons, which are important because they prevent water damage to the roof and fascia, so he ordered them. The gutter aprons added several hundred dollars, but the overall price was still reasonable. On March 22, two employees showed up at our house to do the installation from 10 AM to 5 PM. They removed our old gutters, and then they installed the gutter aprons, new gutters, and two splash guards. We had previously asked them to also replace two downspouts, but they thought that we wanted only one downspout replaced, so they replaced only one. They said that the other downspout does work, and it does work. Our shiny new gutters are a white K-style seamless aluminum that are supposed to be a thick and durable 0.032 gauge. The workers cleaned up debris, and they hauled away our old gutters and downspout. At the end of the service, the owner thanked us for being customers, and he told us to contact him if we ever experience problems with the gutters. We have a warranty of 2 years for labor and 20 years for limited materials. So far, we have had two rainy days, and when I walked around the house to inspect the gutters and downspouts, I did not see any leaking, and the downspouts were working.

The roof was leaking badly enough to erode and rot the paint and wood on its underside. They repaired portions of decking, box gutters, and resurfaced my front porch that is now like new and ready for Summer thunderstorms. With the roof repaired I was able to scrape, sand, and repaint the porch with complete confidence. Great communication from them (emails were replied to same day and phone calls were returned promptly) and swift in setting up an appointment for an estimate. They were flexible with dates to perform the work and showed up on time and called ahead when delays could not be avoided and they were EASILY the single best estimate I could find in 15215. The work was done fairly quickly and very thoroughly, and the crew was clear about every step in the construction process whenever I had questions. They were very clear about cost overruns to get the job done right (due to unexpected damage to the original roof that wasn't uncovered until deep into the project) and they were well within the normal 10%-15% additional unforeseeable costs you can expect on just about any home improvement/renovation project. They warrantied their work and their materials once the job was complete and assured me that if anything goes bad with the labor or materials all I need do is pick up a phone and they'll come set it straight. Affable crew, great boss, and straight shooters all around. I would gladly do business with them again.
