If I could rate this place a zero I would... Have been here many times before but went in tonight and was treated very disrespectfully by a guy named marlin... I paid the $5 cover in cash and my friend swiped her card. Marlin tried to say that she cancelled her charge so she pulled up her bank account to prove that she paid... Even though the charge said pending ( because it's a weekend and charges don't go through until Monday) he continued to insist that she swipe her card again... He was so condescending and it was such an embarrassment. Need I remind you, this is Delray we are talking about, not Miami. What a way to turn off customers. As a local and frequenter of Atlantic, I must say, you will never catch me in this establishment again... What a disgrace and a scam. read more

This place is a joke. The bouncer at the front door had to be the biggest hardo I've ever met in my life. Wouldn't let me in because I had shorts on yet there were multiple people inside wearing shorts as well. Explained to him that a came all the way from Fort Lauderdale to meet someone inside and I hadn't been there before so I wasn't aware of a dress code. Basically he told me I was an idiot and pretended I wasn't standing right in front of him. Complete douches and I was respectful the entire time. Still here and couldn't wait to leave a review. We got bottle service for 2 tables. The waitress pointed out I didn't leave her a tip...well I told her I was leaving cash b/c I prefer to give servers cash. She followed me and waited until I gave her cash and told me what 20% was...well my family comes froms hospvitality so thank you I don't need to to do math for me. But then$300 for my table plus entry, and she cleared my table!! I was drinking cran and cleared everything...ice, the carafe everything...I only had my cup because I held onto it. I had to get ice and juice from my friend because her table was left alone. somehow in her to giving a cash tip wasn't good enough but at $300 leave me with my effan ice and juice until I leave. read more

Just tried to get in. Friend got thrown to the floor and they yelled anti Semitic remarks at Nate. Only fun is sneaking in but once you are in, you are like why the fuh am I here. Came here for the first time on Saturday. Really cute atmosphere. My bartender reccomended me "Angela's 11th" which is a tequila based cocktail that has the perfect balance of sweet and citrusy. So delicious. Can't wait to come back and try another cocktail! read more

Went on a Saturday night, so I admit there might be a different experience other nights/times. However, we were overall not impressed. In addition to the cover charge, the drinks were expensive! (Over $20 for two whisky and diet cokes.) Most importantly, and the reason I write this review, they are listed as a "dance club", but there was NO room to dance. Anywhere we tried to dance we ended up just getting pushed aside by the wait staff trying to get through to the VIP area that took up over 50% of the entire place, but had hardly anyone in it. Only redeeming factor was the guy on the doors - Raqueem (not sure of spelling). He was so cool! Made us feel very welcomed and just overall was a great introduction the place! Another new place we've been wanting to check out in Delray. They have happy hour Wednesday-Saturday, 5-9pm when all drinks are half price, not a bad deal. They also offer a small bites menu with the selections coming from 32 East which is next door. We sat at the bar, service was excellent. Honey is just an awesome venue. From the friendly staff who become fast friends, to the artistic Tree in the back courtyard with lights and empty bird cages hanging from its branches, to the classical art on the walls with a little twist, Honey has become my go to spot on the Ave. best music, great drinks, and fantastic atmosphere whether you want dancing, lounging, or outdoor people watching. I've had private events here as well as informal social gatherings and it's a blast every time. read more

While I am not a fan of over-crowded clubs or high decimals of pop music, I am a fan of Honey. The bar won me over with their kindhearted and concerned staff. We stumbled into Honey while reveling in birthday celebrations on the ave. Unfortunately, some of us were quite literally stumbling. The staff took note of my friend's drunken stature and promptly instructed us to take her home. It was the most courteous way one could be kicked out of an establishment. This place is horrible! First of all if there's a concert that says it's from 7 to 11 you expect the artist to be there from 7 to 11. I bought tickets to see Coro and never saw him because it was 10 and he still never came out. Let's start off with the fact that the doors never opened at 7, once they decided to finally open we grabbed an area where we eventually ended up getting kicked out from because the waitress saw that we were not purchasing liquor and that we needed to wait by the bar. Once we get to the bar and we asked the bartender for soda and water since we don't drink he immediately gave us an attitude. Never again! If you are planning on going for a concert make sure you are ready to wait 3 plus hours for the artist to come out. read more

Love, love love this place! Great place to go dancing with the girls on the ave! The happy hour is awesome, really a great deal for Atlantic Avenue. In a great location right in the heart of the action. Great place to meet people and have a good time. I keep coming back and every time I have a blast! We got through the ID bouncer and by the time we got to the door the big gumpy looking bouncer told a huge group of us we couldn't go in because our friend was putting her wallet away and hit a wall.. Apparently she was too "drunk" to go in when she was completely sober. I'm not sure where they hired this idiot from, turning away a huge group of paying customers on one of the most busy nights ever for the reason of someone looking down and hitting a wall.. I only gave 1 star because I can't give zero. This place is horrendous. I am from New York, and am very familiar with sophisticated people. The staff at this place this so unsophisticated. I'm trying to think of The nicest way to explain the personalities of the people that work ther, but all I can possibly think of is flat out, stupid. We came inside and the bar was only ok but when I spoke with the bouncer after having an issue with a drunk guy at the bar, he was totally un apologetic, and I felt like I was talking to a six year old. Arrived late into town and the options were few. We checked Yelp and found this place....glad we did. We had their Nachos off the late night menu and they were leagues above "regular nachos" and really quite delicious. We also both had a mojito and agreed they were the best we'd had in a long time! Came here last weekend with a friend to just check out the scene and music. Ordered a drink at the bar. The bartender that evening (wearing a ridiculous bow tie) took my credit card and kept it, I guess assuming I was opening a tab without asking. I had to ask him 3 times for my card back. He finally gives it to me with a pen that was disassembled. I said "Dude! This pen is empty!!" So instead of just giving me another pen, he proceeded to throw pens at me. Maybe he misinterpreted my statement as something rude over the loud music but either way, not a professional way of handling things. Needless to say I left him no tip in which I would like to apologize to the other servers. You can thank him for the fat zero that was on the tip line. Honey should train their bartenders that even if they assume I am just another "chick" at the bar, drunk or not, he should conduct himself in a more professional manner. read more
