It was prepared with just enough mustard (you can ask for extra if you want) and stacked high on rye bread. The sandwich exceeded my expectations. When ordering, the staff were very helpful and happily explained the sandwich options and combos. They suggested choosing medium fat for their Montreal smoked meat for first-timers (which I was), so that's what I ordered. Ordering was fast and efficient, though the restaurant is small, with only two sets of tables and counter seating around the perimeter. When we arrived around 1:20 PM on a Sunday, all table seating was occupied, with only a few stools available at one of the counters. After we took our seats, our order was ready within a few minutes. We ordered three Smoked Meat Combos, which included the Montreal smoked meat sandwich, fries (very good--crispy, hot, and fresh), a small container of coleslaw, and a pickle. Would I return? Yes, if I were in the area again. I'm from Mississauga, so it's a bit of a trek. If SumiLicious opened another location in Mississauga, I'd be a regular customer.

But this place has perfected it! Who knew perfectly cooked smoked meat in between slices of untoasted rye bread and a small amount of mustard would be such a dreamy combination. Montreal smoked sandwiches can be found in our very own backyard here at Sumilicious. The poutine is everything you want it to be! Was so impressed with the place, we decided to order a whole turkey for thanksgiving..it was alright, don't think we will be doing that again though. You pay by the pound after the meat has been cooked so it shrinks in size but still ends up being quite expensive. But I will stay the staff care so much about their products. They take great pride in what they make from the smoked meat to the turkey. Upon picking up the turkey, took the time to give me specific care instructions on how to store and reheat the bird. Come check out Sumilicious.

They're well packed with ingredients, and cut in 1/2 if you want to eat 1/2 and save the other for later. Cute deli decor. Wowowow I'm so impressed…read more Lambo's Deli does sandwiches right. The moment I got my sandwich, I knew. From of the nostalgic paper bag. A sandwich that's packed TIGHT is packed right. No mess, no stress. That is serious business. The best part is, the ingredients taste so FRESH. As we were waiting, the friendly staff offered everyone free ice cream samples. It was 25°C sunny so it was much needed. No one refused! They're testing out flavours, so I think we will expect to see soft-serve ice cream on their menu in the near future! I got the Caprese sandwich and the fresh mozzarella was so refreshing! Geniusly, there was a layer of breadcrumbs added to my sandwich, which I found very humorous... b/c really? A bread byproduct inside of a sandwich? That was a first for me. But y'know what, the crunch element over the mozzarella was a really good pairing and it works! Also, the pesto was so fresh and good.. that I had pesto on my mind the next day and I just had to find something pesto for lunch again, the influence! Honestly, we did not have the intention of visiting Lambo's that day. We had walked past it on the way to another restaurant, but I remember this corner store with bold modern-80's decor caught my eye. After our original plans fell through, we stumbled back to this street corner which turned out to be a fantastic accident because we wound up loving Lambo's so much, we swore to come back to try the rest of their sandwiches!

BEST Euro Deli award goes to...Vienna Fine Foods!…read more This long-standing family-run European Delicatessen is like a small taste of Europe in Toronto! It's almost 70 years old and one of the oldest European delis in the city. A breath of fresh air, sweetened with nostalgia, that transports you to a Euro style deli in the heart of Scarborough. Their main attraction is their high quality deli food, magnificent imported cheeses, charcuterie deli meats, freshly baked buns, baguettes, rye bread, European specialty food items (jars of pickles, preserves, spreads, soup mixes, dumplings, imported chocolates and candies, and magazines to name a few). Hungry patrons frequent their phenomenal hot food counter, specializing in home style authentic German, Polish, and Austrian foods. Hot takeaway lunch menu at "Little Imbiss" includes Schnitzel (fried breaded pork cutlet), home fries, knackwurst (sausages), sauerkraut, Hungarian goulash, daily soups (creamy mushroom is a personal fave). Walking inside you're instantly transported to an idyllic place, a home away from home. No wonder their hot food lunch counter is nicknamed "Little Imbiss" - Imbiss is a German word for a snack place often a small family-run food stand or street food shop. They have a deli meats counter where you can buy cold cuts, salads, meats, sausages, charcuterie, cured meats, European and Canadian cheeses. A bakery section where you'll find freshly baked baguettes, buns, and rye bread, pumpernickel bread. As well as imported European chocolates, marmalades, pickles, crackers, potato dumplings mixes. But really, this place wouldn't be the same if it wasn't for their loyal customers, excellent owners-managers and their friendly staff. Family-owned for almost 30 years; the co-owner's father was an excellent trained chef who worked at an exclusive Toronto country club known as the Granite Club and wanted to give people a taste of Europe. For the past 30 years his family has honoured his lifetime dream of bringing people a taste of Europe in Canada by providing top tier service and quality food to the community. I once witnessed the staff really take the time to go out of their way to assist an elderly man who needed help with finding his groceries. She patiently walked around the store speaking to him in German and helped the gentleman with a smile on her face. The kindness that I've witnessed here is also what makes it so memorable. This wonderful deli will always have a special place on my heart!
