Panipuri Shells Manchow Soup Bhaji Pav
    Rohit P.

This is my go-to restaurant whenever I'm craving good vegetarian food. They have one of the best vegetarian menus around with a wide variety of choices. The chaat options stand out--flavorful and authentic, definitely worth trying. Regular pav bhaji is amazing, though I personally don't enjoy the "special" pav bhaji since the cashews, almonds, and raisins take away from the original taste. Their Chinese menu is also excellent--highly recommend the manchow soup, it's rich and full of flavor. The restaurant itself is clean and fresh, and the service has always been really good and attentive. Overall, it's a reliable spot that never disappoints.

We have been to this restaurant several times and again the service and food does not disappoint. They are definitely quick to bring the food and have water readily available at the table. The masala dosa is very delicious and nice and crispy. The sambar is absolutely delicious here. The curry dishes are definitely different than your typical Indian restaurant, but also very flavorful. They always have very lively music playing, which is a highlight for this place. We will continue to return to this restaurant as they do a great job with food and service.

Fast casual spot, dining or order at the counter. We sat down to order. We had to pay first because they said they are having technical issues and thus couldn't provide a paper copy of our credit card receipt. Only a text receipt. Rather odd. Ordered a plain dosa, dry Gobi Manchurian, Chana masala, kattappa sandwich, dal tadka. $47.13. The dosa was out first, not crispy much and was wilted. The one dip has some decent heat. The soup was good. The dry Gobi Manchurian is okay, the diced veggies were good for my husband. Crispy and 4 cauliflower pieces or so. The dal Tadka was okay, not spicy at all. The waiter missed the Chana masala, which was the second item we had ordered and a must for my husband. The kattappa sandwich was different, definitely had 4 slices of bread for each quarter. Veggies and lots of shredded cheese, it was okay, was too heavy on the bread and not enough veggies for me.

Heard a lot about this place and they are very busy. So maybe my assessment is skewed. My food or experience was not mind blowing. Everything was good but not great. Service is just par as well, typical of a desi restaurant. The place looks nice, clean enough with ample amount of seats. Few broken plastic glasses.

I really like Indian food and really wanted to like this place, but sadly, it didn't live up to my standards. Kattappa sandwich - too much bread. Sandwich itself was ok tasting, but I feel it could do with less bread. I was eating the contents of the sandwich itself, which was great (layered with cheese, chickpeas. Etc), but could use less carbs/bread. Puri- I saw some pictures of this online, so I wanted it, but what we got did not match. I think this had to do with the way this was made. On postmates, there are 2 options, but there are no descriptions as to the difference between the two. I picked one randomly and got the one that I think lacked ?potato?. If I ordered incorrectly, I don't know how I should order to get the Puri that everyone posts about. But this version was no good. Also ordered the Bhaji Pav (not pictured) - first time having this. good heat. Good flavor. Just thought the potato + added bread was a bit too much.

We made a reservation and came here for lunch. It was really great. The service was nice and they had a robot that delivered some of the food. I had the Ferraro Roacher milkshake and my brother got the special pistachio milkshake and both were very good. We ordered a large variety of foods and they were all delicious. We ordered: Pani Puri, Dahi Puri, Vada-Pav, Chinese Bhel, Triple Schezwan Fried Rice, Schezwan Noodles. I loved all of them but my favorite was the Triple fried rice and Chinese Bhel. The pani and dahi puris were good quick bites that come in 7-8 pieces per order. The Vada-pav is spicy but quite good. The Chinese Bhel was nice and crispy, the crispness is what made the dish so delicious. I really loved the Triple Schezwan - it was my favorite of all the dishes. I was too busy eating it to take a picture before it was all gone. The only change I would make is getting a different noodles. The noodles were quite good but it also used the Schezwan sauce so it was a duplicate flavor of the rice.

Have been to Honest in New Jersey, and the taste of Pav bhaji there was better than Troy. This was our first visit to Honest. It was crowded at 6.30pm on Sunday. The service was very good and fast. We had Bahubali sandwich, Pavbhaji & Triple Shezwan Fried Rice. Bahubali sandwich was good; Triple shezwan was better dish of the three. We also had Irani Chai - it was good. The place is clean and has a good vibe to it. We live 40 mins away from here; we wont be visiting frequently.

OMG Becky!!! Fantastic food alert!! We decided to stop in and try this place finally. The garlic and chili noodles were fabulous with just the right amount of heat. We love spicy food!! The food served here is all vegetarian. Leave the meat eaters at home. Lol. We got a bhaji pav special with cashew and rasins. It was so delicious. They serve it with bread for making a sandwich. I loved the chili Naan bread, too!!! The owner was very kind and happy to have us!!! I look forward to coming back soon. You have to wash the magnificent food down with a mango shake!! Your lips will thank you!!!

One of our go-to for Indian food. It is a casual, no-fuss place. I go on weekday nights, and the place is almost always packed for dinner. Service varies, but it's relatively quick, especially given how busy the place is. Their menu is 100% plant-based (vegetarian and vegan). Of the chat and snacks, I HIGHLY recommend ordering the Dahi Puri. It's a semolina puff filled with yogurt and chutneys, garnished with tomato and onion. You must eat the whole thing in one bite! It's like an explosion of fresh flavor and texture--party in your mouth. It's sweet and savory; you get a little crunch from the onion and tomato and the creaminess of the yogurt. Amazing! I feel like I can inhale the whole plate alone. The samoosa chaat was also good! Beautiful color combination. The middle of the plate doused in the sauce was rich in flavors, while the outer part that was not covered with chutney contributed to its texture as it was very crispy. They also have some Indo-Chinese cuisine. This is where I first tried Chinese Bhel, which I ordered because two tables beside me both had it, and it looked so good. I am very pleased we did because it was scrumptious! It's like Chinese Lo Mein with a twist on steroids. It's crispy, saucy, spicy, and tangy, with deep-fried cauliflower, kofta balls, and paneer chunks instead of meat or vegetables--one of my favorite new finds. A flavor and texture combination that you keep wanting to come back to. I've tried several other curries over multiple visits and never had one that tasted bad--I tried the malai kofta with fried rice. Kofta is a bit dry, but it tasted great with the sauce, and the gravy went along well with the fried rice. Most recently, I tried the paneer handi, which is paneer with vegetables in a thick, creamy gravy. It has spices, salt, and heat. I enjoyed it with some roti.

    Mysore masala dosa

Lovely vegetarian meal door dashed from Honest at lunchtime. Nicely packaged, especially the butter naan. The Mysore masala dosa, the malai kofta, and Dahi vada were delicious. Ordered the vegetable raita as well. Very thick and creamy. Eager to try their other dishes. It's nice to have a vegetarian place.

Pav Bhaji Vada-Pav (2 Pc) Dabang Dosa
    gunjan a.

Apart of what you see in photos we also tried chinese bhel and noodles. We were just 2 of us and hogged on it like never before. Pavbhaji and vada pav are toooo good. Dosa was good too but it had little more butter then required. Chinese bhel was great. Its great restaurant with quick service. The seating space gets little clumsy if all the tables are full. But overall a good experience. Will definitely go back.

Grand Opening was on October 5, 2022. I got a chance to visit yesterday. Honest Restaurant and Neehee's, diagonally across the street, serves the same kind of Indian street food. FYI: There's two pages of the menu that Honest isn't serving yet since it's a new open. Personally, I prefer Neehee's. The taste (not spicy enough) as well as pricing is cheaper there compared to Honest. Also, the table next to us who sat down after we ordered, received their meal first and even finished eating before we got our order. So there is something wrong with the service. I'm not sure if it's because it's a new open and the employees are still learning but there is definitely a lot of waiting around and service is really slow.

Pav bhaji mild cant handle hot anymore getting old.

For a kid with sensory sensitivity, this was the perfect timing to dine in. I was a bit sad to see the restaurant so empty and hope it was largely our timing. However, I can't negate the construction and horrible economic conditions as questionable contributors. The space is vast, clean, and today was peaceful. Generally, it's a lively atmosphere, cricket and kids in the background, and lots of gathering and conversations. The staff is always friendly and warm. One of the staff made sure to come by our table to check in mid-meal. It's a simple gesture and it makes me feel warm and welcome. We ordered gobi manchurian, masala dosa, veg fried rice, a mango lassi for my son and sugar cane juice for me. My son's favorite was the masala dosa- a comforting blend of flavors and textures, sambar was absolutely scrumptious. I practically inhaled my gobi, which is one of my favorite dishes. Perfect spice/heat level, well balanced and nice crunch from the bell peppers and onions. The veg fried rice was a safe third dish in the event my son was craving something familiar, and it ended up being satisfying but our least favorite of the order. I will say it was prepared well and I love the threads of vegetables throughout. Mango lassi was a nice buffer for some of the heat for my son, and my sugar cane juice was a surprisingly savory/sweet quencher for the ride home. Oh. And a scoop of butterscotch ice cream for the boy. Overall I am a loyal Neehee's fan and look forward to many more visits.

They have a lot of seating that makes me think they probably get crowded on weekends and holidays.

Paradise Biryani -- Troy, MI…read more I've been to Paradise Biryani multiple times now, and I can honestly say that it's one of those restaurants that continues to impress me every time I come back. The food is absolutely incredible, but what really sets this place apart for me is the combination of quality, consistency, value, and genuine hospitality. The biryani is packed with flavor, aromatic, perfectly seasoned, and incredibly satisfying. There's something special about the depth of flavor in the dishes here and you can tell there is real attention being paid to the preparation rather than simply throwing together another plate of Indian food. Paradise specializes in Hyderabadi-style dum biryani, along with a wide variety of Indian and South Asian dishes, so there's plenty to explore beyond the biryani as well. But honestly, the food is only half of the experience. The owner, Ziggy, is one of the biggest reasons I keep coming back. He is incredibly accommodating, personable, and genuinely cares about his customers. What I appreciate most is that he doesn't just stay behind the scenes, he actually comes out to the tables and checks on his guests personally. Every time I've been there, Ziggy has made a point of coming over to make sure everything is tasting great and that we're satisfied with our meal. That level of personal attention is becoming increasingly rare. You can tell that he genuinely takes pride in his restaurant and wants people to leave happy. It doesn't feel forced or like someone simply doing their job, it feels like he actually cares about the people who walk through the door. And for the quality and portion sizes, the prices are honestly hard to beat. You get food that tastes like it should cost considerably more, without feeling like you're being overcharged for the experience. One of the things I value most about Paradise is consistency. I've been back multiple times, and the food has continued to be on point. It's easy for a restaurant to have one great meal, but when you can return again and again and still have that same level of quality, that says a lot. For me, Paradise Biryani is a combination of great food + great value + exceptional hospitality. And having an owner like Ziggy who personally takes the time to make sure his customers are happy makes the experience that much better. If you enjoy Indian food, especially biryani and bold, flavorful South Asian cuisine, I genuinely recommend giving this place a try. Great food. Great prices. Great service. And an owner who actually cares. That's why I'll keep coming back to Paradise Biryani Troy. Highly recommended: 10/10 from me.
