    Paneer chilli gravy

Absolutely ridiculous place. You won't receive some of the basic customer etiquette and hospitality in this place. The person who claims to be the manager of this restaurant doesn't have any skills in the hospitality and restaurant industry. Her name seems to be Falguni (if I am not wrong). Issue 1: Since they started this place in Jax, I have been a regular customer for them. Due to my lack of cooking skills and foodie instincts, I visited them atleast 3 to 4 times a week, if not more, since their opening. I moved to Jax from Atlanta at the beginning of this year and I knew Honest Restaurant from my time in Atlanta. The Honest restaurant in Atlanta is great, and their food is of good quality as well. Their customer service skills are exceptional in Atlanta. I give credit to the manager of that place in Atlanta and the way he runs it like a family. I had similar expectations from those people in Jax. On July 17th, I came to this place and ordered a Paneer chilli dry item. Instead of me receiving a paneer chilli dry item, I received a paneer chilli gravy. By the time I tried to call them, the restaurant was closed on July 17th. I called them the next day and the person who answered the phone call told me to come to the restaurant and get another item as a replacement. He also asked me to pay any difference in price for the new item. Actually, that statement itself was ridiculous as far as I am concerned. Any restaurant that makes a mistake on their end will refund the entire amount of the order and also, as a courtesy for causing inconvenience to the customer, they will also offer a new dish to the customer. I went to the restaurant and paid the difference in amount for the new dish. As I was waiting for the dish to arrive, a lady who claimed to be the manager of this place came to me and started talking rudely by asking me whether I had the dish which I took yesterday. Who asks that kind of question ? Someone with such an attitude shouldn't even run a restaurant business, in my opinion. She then falsely claims that the paneer chilli gravy I got the day before is indeed a paneer chilli dry item. I showed them the picture of the dish along with the receipt. I am posting them below for your reference.  The boy at the counter seemed to be more matured than the manager. He was talking like a gentleman to try to resolve the issue, whereas the manager was arguing with me in an absconding manner. Issue 2: In my very first experience at this place, they missed an item in my take-out order. I went to their soft launch on the first day. I ordered a Veg Manchurian with gravy and Veg fried rice. After going home, I noticed there was a missing item of Veg Manchurian with gravy. Issue 3: I went with my parents and friends to this place in the second week of July. My friend who ordered Rava dosa received hair in it. After I posted my Google review here showing my displeasure at their repeated mistakes, they called me and tried to bribe me by saying that they would refund the order amount for issue 1 (paneer chili dry) if I removed my Google review here. What kind of ethics are these ? Can a business owner ask a customer to do such a thing ? Summary: Be careful and watchful if you are planning to go to this place with your kids and family. There is a high chance of you getting embarrassed in front of your friends and family by their rude and illiterate behavior. There are also high chances of you getting incorrect dishes in your take-out orders, and sometimes you may also see a hair particle in your dish of order. Don't be surprised if you see one! So please keep your extra eyes on it if you are thinking about going to this place. All the best to my fellow Jacksonville food enthusiasts and Happy Eating!

I visited this "new to me" Indian restaurant with a friend for lunch and really liked everything we tried! First of all the whole restaurant is vegetarian so I felt excited to taste so many different options. I was greeted when I walked in and was surprised to see I was the only person there at noon. As we enjoyed our lunch more people came in, but it never got busy. I'm not sure if people know this place exists yet, but our food was good! A server brought me water, but never really mentioned if I ordered at the front or at the table. We ordered at the register, but then she did come to the table and ask if we wanted more food. It was a little confusing. We tried veggie curry, dosa filled with potatoes and veggies, samosa chaat (always my favorite - but this was not a standout item here), and pani puri (my first time trying these little bites)! I would go back here again, especially for the veggie curry. I was surprised to see it served with rolls instead of rice. This street food was different than most Indian food I've tried. Everything is made fresh to order so items come out at different times. I would probably order takeout next time because there is no real ambiance in the restaurant, but will definitely get this food again!

I arrived just after 1pm and the buffet was still set up and remained well cared for during my one hour visit. Chicken, lamb, vegetarian options, naan, riata, two different rice options plus a biryani. The food was flavorful and spicy but not especially "hot" spicy. If hot and spicy food is a challenge for you, this should be okay. For dessert, they have gulab jamun and a soft-serve mango ice cream. Perfect. The only thing missing was a box of single-use gloves so that I could avoid touching the tongs directly but they did have a bottle of hand sanitizer I used before and after each trip to the buffet. This was a great meal! [Review 1638 of 2025 - 2215 in Florida - 25186 overall]

The portion sizes were huge, especially for a lunch special. Each meal came with two curries, dal, naan, rice, a samosa, and gulab jamun. The food was packed well, stayed hot, and everything traveled nicely. Both the veg and non-veg curries were flavorful and well-spiced, and the naan was soft and fresh. Everything felt generous and satisfying, and the pricing was very reasonable for the amount and quality of food. Definitely a great value for Indian takeout in the Baymeadows/Jacksonville area--we'd happily order again.

I'm a white woman married to a Indian man and I love Indian food. I cook it quite well so when I eat out for Indian food, I have very high expectations. Ironically, I have a much higher spice tolerance than my husband. But whenever he orders and ask for medium spice, it's exactly right. But whenever I order and ask for a medium spice it's nowhere near spicy enough. I don't know if that is just because I sound like I can't handle my spice, but it happens every single time. But getting onto the actual taste and quality of the food. Their Panera biryani is one of my favorites, though I do like their veg biryani more my husband first appear so we usually settle for paneer. It is perfectly cooked so fluffy and delightful and oh my goodness is it abundant. One $15 container will make at least four meals. My husband and I will get one box and share it for lunch or dinner and then put it away because it will be another lunch or dinner later. And it's not like we eat a little we eat a full plate and this box is stuffed to the brim. Service--8/10. My only complaint here is regarding service. It can take a while sometimes to pick up your order, especially when they first open. And I'm not saying it takes time for it to be available because I will often arrive and see it sitting on the shelf, but no one is at the front counter to check me out. I have honestly never dined in at this location so I can only address the service in the aspect of takeout orders. Atmosphere--10/10. It is a very centralized location and a nice strip mall with accessible parking and ample at that. The interior is quite nice and what you'd expect in an Indian restaurant with beautiful cultural pieces around the interior. So if you are looking for a place to eat in this would definitely be atmospherically a nice place.

Me and my girlfriend went on a Saturday evening for the first time, and were pretty satisfied with the price ($32.74 for 1 large pizza and 2 single scoops of ice cream + 20% tip). We picked the food up and could NOT stop talking about how wonderful it smelled. The ice cream itself is great, though has a strong floral taste so keep that in mind. The pizza was excellent. We tried butter chicken and kadai goat pizza so far. Overall, both pizza are very good and the following review is more on my preference. Butter chicken is good but a bit mild for my taste. However, I do love very spicy and strong flavored dishes. So it may be a good first try if you've never had Indian food pizza. Goat kadai is great and is my favorite of the two. But my parents, who are not as familiar with Indian food, didn't find it as enjoyable due to the stronger taste. I will be back trying other flavors. Just very happy to have one in Jacksonville.
