First time here. They have a large selection that can be overwhelming but take your time, ask questions and for suggestions. Be patient with those in line ahead of you, too, please. I loved the chicken vindaloo bowl with "a little bit of every topping". It was all fresh and flavorful. I also got the saffron rice. The employee was so helpful and patient. Make sure to get the sautéed onions for sure, and the seasonings in the silver shaker. I tried 3 sauces and watch out for the spicy one! They were all flavorful though. I had to look up what sev was, and I'll be trying a sprinkle of that next time. I didn't want to drive all the way from Middleburg but let me tell you it's worth it and more. When I first hear of the opening of Curry Guys I knew I had to check them out. I mean I love a great wrap or bowl but your now making it with Curries.... Yeah I'm in. We came in on a Saturday and it wasn't too packed but I could see that happening during rush hours because it's not big on the inside. I started checking out the curries and they had so many options one of them being the Lamb Korma which is always my go to. I wasn't sure to go wrap or bowl but a Naan wrap loaded up sounded too good to miss out on. I also checked out that they had some street delights and that's when I saw they had Vada Pav which I have always wanted to try but have never seen it around town so ordered that as well. So when making my owe Naan Wrap I did Yellow Rice and went with the Lamb Korma. I will say when they got to the Lamb Korma there was very little Lamb in it. It was mostly curry with very few pieces of lamb which was kind of a bummer. I did get other toppings sauces and of course Chutney's too. I started off with the Vada Pav and they were great. I really liked the fresh chilis they came with too. i will say every time I try a new Indian vegetarian food I get how you could do it with this. My Naan Wrap was full of flavor so complex I really enjoyed it. I will say the wrap is messy. I mean is curry in a wrap it's going to leak but not like that bother me. Was still pretty bummer though about the lack of lamb though. Maybe you would get more in the bowl. I will say I would check them out again. I was excited to try Curry Guys. The cashier was nice and the restaurant seemed clean. We ordered the Dal Tadka and Butter Chicken bowls. The Dal Tadka bowl had a very small scoop of lintels compared to the portion of rice. The butter chicken was topped with the sauce versus simmering in it so it didn't have that robust taste or tender texture. While the food was good, I don't think the prices are right for the quantity. Most Indian restaurants serve twice the portion for a few extra dollars. read more

It's so nice to have a more casual Indian curry spot in Riverside! I love the build your own bowl/wrap option. You can pick your base, protein, curry sauce, unlimited toppings, and chutney. I got saffron rice, chicken, and korma curry sauce and it was great! I will say that I've had Indian food for the same price with bigger portions elsewhere, but the build a bowl/wrap option is quick, easy, and tasty. My friend ordered right ahead of me and got the family style butter chicken, and they made theirs in the kitchen. Their portion was larger than mine, but my bowl was made Chipotle/Cava style and of course was done way sooner than his. There were also a ton of takeout orders that they were processing but keep that in mind when you go there to eat if different people in your party order from the create a bowl/wrap versus the family style. This could be called " curry in a hurry". This little curry spot is order at the counter from the overhead board where you can get various combos. Or if that's too confusing ( like it was to me ) just get what they call a family meal. You get a choice of saffron or white basmati rice served with choices like chicken Tikka, butter chicken, vandalo etc. I chose the chicken tikka to go. I waited at one of their 6 or 7 tables for my togo order for about 15 minutes. When I got home I unpacked the 2 1 lb size plastic containers, mixed my rice and tikka together & reheated in the microwave. It had a nice flavor but I thought it was more like butter chicken than Tikka. There were large pieces of onions and green pepper which I have never had in chicken tikka before. It was good but the onions should have been smaller pieces and cooked more. They were too crunchy. Since this was my first time ordering here when I was asked what level spice I wanted, I said mild, which was probably my fault because sometimes with Indian food when you say mild, it comes super spicy and I wanted to be able to eat it this was truly mild. I created my own bowl with safron rice, chicken, butter curry sauce, garlic aioli, onions, carrots and cilantro. Also ordered garlic naan, which was made fresh also. Cute small have setup. I'm assuming she's the owner maybe not she was super friendly and helpful. Said they've been open for 10 weeks! The only thing that I didn't like was the very small selection of drinks. Four stars is generous, but I'm optimistic. Generous on the meat, but the curry comes in a small cup and you pretty much have to get more, which is $3 (for curry...). Honestly I think they'd be better off with smaller/fewer pieces of meat and more rice/curry/veggies. The food tasted pretty good, and I think it was worth $15 (+ $5 naan and $3 extra curry), but the experience is lacking and everything is an add-on. Also the chunks of chicken are oddly large. The staff seem frazzled and chaotic. One of them was trying to do everything (unnecessarily). She definitely needs some basic prioritization training and non-negative communication practice. I finally got around to visiting this restaurant that opened just a few months ago. I took my wife with me and while we were there, her sister and brother-in-law were also in the area and they met up with us like other people have said it's almost like a chipotle or Moe's in the format. As far as the ambience, it was quite loud even though they had the front door propped open. What I mean by that is that between the music playing and lot of people talking it was hard to hear people at my own table. I personally am very soft spoken to the point of criticism and their had to repeat myself several times throughout our visit. But I don't know why you came here to read this review and that is for the food. I didn't take any pictures because people have already uploaded a lot of what we already got all for us end up getting build your own bowls. My wife and I got lamb and the rest of us got chicken. I also got some of their french fries to share with my wife and I I thought those were pretty good with the sauce on top and the small ramekin of tamarin sauce, I would've liked to have tried some Vada Pav, which are a street food of a potato fritter encased and a slider bond with some sauce and seasonings, but I did not because of the price. I watched a 7 month old video of an Indian youtuber in India (Mumbai). It's legendary over there, yet only costs $.28 USD ($.25 INR at the time I checked a currency converter (today) and yet they are charging $7.99 for two. The ingredients aren't that hard to source (anymore) over here... That's just outrageous to me. So I skipped those. I would say the food is decent, but I can't say it's on par necessarily with a more traditional dine-in Indian Restaurant. For two bowls (with lamb $3.00 upcharge; about $15 per bowl) two mango lassies and their smothered fries, and a tip it was $49.32 before tax. Prices are getting silly these days, am I right? The customer service was good, the owner came out and checked on us and was nice. I wish them to do well, but I just feel charging that much for certain things (like the Vada Pav) is crazy high.
