The prices are less than expected, but the portions aren't very large either. Meals that normally would come with rice, don't here. You have to purchase rice additionally. Drinks are priced high. Orlando really needed an Indian Fast Food restaurant. Honest is originally based out of Ahmedabad, India and now they have opened up many locations in the US. Glad they came to Orlando! It's located in a prime area in Patel Brothers plaza near Florida Mall. Ambience is simple with some food photographs on the walls, nothing fancy. Place looked clean. Everyone was wearing masks. Customer service was good and the food service was super fast. We went on a weekday evening...that could be the reason. Currently they have limited items on the menu. And they plan to start Indo Chinese and South Indian dishes pretty soon. We ordered Paav Bhaji, Masala Paav, Veg Grilled Sandwich, Bhakri Pizza and Papdi Chaat. Except the papdi chaat, I liked all other dishes. The Veg Grilled Sandwich with Amul Cheese reminded me of Club Sandwich I used to eat back in India. And the masala paav was the highlight for me. Located in the Plaza close to Florida Mall, there are several other Indian inspired business...Patel Brothers Market, and several clothing and jewelry stores. They have a wonderful variety of dishes to choose from, and fresh squeezed drinks like sugar cane and watermelon juices. My in laws recommended this place as they are vegetarian (and vegan in parts). When it comes to quality? Spot on, the vada pav (VIP) as spot on, with a lot of cheese added. The restaurant staff was nice, and food came out relatively quickly, and the location was nice. The only complaint I have is the pricing... We got two dishes, just to try the place, and I ended up spending $41. When I read the other reviews, there were similar questions. I know you're a chain, but... the sticker shock alone will have me going to other restaurants more often. You are perfectly located, but.. I can drive 3-5 minutes and have similar quality, at a better price, if not better quality. I'll be coming here again, but... we'll have to piece wise as a desi guy.. I don't feel as good paying these prices for a fast food location. My husband and I just left this restaurant due to the rudeness of the Indian man behind the counter. Don't misunderstand, HE NEVER said anything to us. NOT HI, BYE, CAN I ASSIST NOTHING... This seems to be a fairly new restaurant. With that being said, this is a great place to go for Vegetarian Indian food. My family and I were looking for a new place to try and were happy we went here. I'm not a spicy food fan but I'll give anything a try, once. So if you don't like too much spice, they will tone it down for you. The dishes were had were very flavorful. Try the Mango Lassi. It's a nice cooling drink after the spice. Even pav bhaji was just okay. The one with bell pepper topping and cheese coated, you might wonder what it could be, it is honest special pizza which was absolute trash. Probably they don't know what a pizza base looks like. They just had all the heavily cheese coated stuff on a biscuit like snack item. Bahubali sandwich was worth the money but it wasn't that interesting. I tried to order a mango falooda but upon noticing that they were just pulling out a glass of generic falooda milk glass and mixing mango syrup in it, I just had to cancel it. The mango lassi was thick, Rich, and so good. Sinful. My son ordered a pav bhagi, I got a dosa, and my husband and daughter got the chana. My masala dosa was delicious. Huge of course and filled with nicely season potatoes. The Sam are was especially goodAs well as the coconut chutney. My sons pav bhagi was really great. He got it with cheese on top and extra pav. Very tasty and a great big portion. Chana was delicious. It came with two great big, puffy bread like bhatura. The little container of pickles that came with it was really amazing. The portion was large and we should have just gotten one. This is a very casual place to grab a snack. Nothing fancy but very tasty and fun. Excellent vegetarian Indian cuisine! Went with family, we were greeted immediately. This is a relatively new place, and we could see traditional Indian opening ceremonial decorations still up. They didn't have all menu items available yet but they were upfront about that (such as the Punjabi thali). We ordered Butter Vada Pav and Dahi Puri. Food: Really great! Vada pav was crunchy bun and chickpea flour on the vada made excellent contrast to soft potato. They come with green and red chutney were spicy. It is on spicier side even without they chutney, but I love that. A lot of places overcook the bun, and this causes this charring that doesn't match the texture of the potato. The spices on the vada are excellent. I highly recommend the vada pav. I didn't try their VIP vada pav, but I will next time. The dahi Puri was good. The shell was excellent, the pani in the Puri was a little runny but didn't leak. The dahi wasn't heavy and felt light and sweet. Maybe on sweeter side for those used to homemade dahi Puri. Sev were excellent, not soggy, they were crunchy and overall the dish was refreshing and tasted nice. Also had the kaju anjeer shake which is cashew, figs shake (I think with vanilla kulfi). It was a nice light sweet drink to go along with spicier dishes. Ambience/environment: social distancing of tables. All employees were masked, cleaned diligently, and served with gloves. It was a nice fresh clean environment, open atmosphere and windows to outside. Seats were comfortable Service: really good. We had explanations for where we had questions. They came in to check in on us. I think for non-Indians or people not familiar with this cuisine they will be happy to explain. Overall: Really great Indian vegetarian food. One of the worst managed restaurants I have seen. If you order for dine-in, they will bring your dishes every 30 minutes one at a time. So, if you ordered 4 dishes, you will see yourself waiting more than 2 hours before you get all your order for your dine-in experience. You have to keep reminding them continuously. Last time I waited for more than 45 minutes for them to bring me my last order, and when I went to the counter to remind them again, they decided to cancel my order and refund the money. The worst ever place. They are more enthusiastic and excited to take your money first and keep you wondering when your order is going to show up. It is more tragedy when you order for take out. They do not seem to take the order on the phone, as they are more interested in taking your money first. When you go to the restaurant and order for the take out, they keep you waiting for more than an hour. This is not a once-a-while experience, but a chronic one.
