    Daily Buffet
    Travis S.

5 Stars for Friendly Service. 4 stars for food. Very solid and tasty buffet options. Everything was very tasty and the buffet clean. I'll be back for sure. They also have a full menu, but the buffet is served daily til 2:30. A great option to have in the Sodo neighborhood.

Dropped in for lunch. Had the buffet. Decent amount of items to choose from. 3 kinds of rice, tandoori, butter and korma chicken, goat curry, Naan, all good. We were seated quickly, dirty plates were cleaned up quickly and restaurant is clean. Our server was efficient and pleasant. All in all a pleasant experience. Will be back for dinner some night. If you are in the mood for Indian food check it out.

We did a takeout and our food was ready in 25 minutes. The place is in the downtown area and looks great from the inside. We ordered paneer palak, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, samosa chaat, chicken Briyani and roti. Everything tasted pretty good. I really liked their paneer palak, chicken tikka masala and Briyani also had nice flavor. Nothing was too spicy. We ordered medium hot. I will definitely come back to try their lunch buffet because there are many other options on their menu that we haven't tried yet. See photos of the food below. Overall it's a good restaurant and you should give it a try if you enjoy Indian food.

Menu has main "dishe's." Very strange to spend all that money on menus and make such a dumb mistake. Plastic straws opened and inserted in my water before they arrived. No thanks. We walked in to a great friendly greeting. The restaurant has fewer vegetarian options than most Indian restaurants we have been to (many, many, many!) We ordered a Papri chaat, onion pakpra, navaratan korma, and some naan. The table is a leftover from the previous place complete with hot plates (annoying) and a center heater...not much space under the table because of the propane holder. The pakora was a little bit too greasy but hot and good. The garlic naan was hot, fresh, with plenty of garlic, and the right amount of crispy. Win! The nav korma....wife felt it needed salt. We ordered medium and it was very mild. The service was very, very good - attentive, polite, and fast until I was called old. The food was hot.

Came for a date night and had an amazing experience. We ordered plenty to share and even more naan after since it was so good. The service was great and the ambiance was relaxing. We are absolutely coming back ASAP! Affordable, delicious, and kind.

This is a cute little Indian place in SODO. We went there for the buffet. It's from 1130 to 3:30pm. I don't recommend going after 1pm as they start reducing what is on the buffet line - which is a stinker. The few items they had for buffet were good. I will have to try again when they first open to give a full review. The items we had were good and will go back to try again. The staff is very nice and it was clean.

Just found this place in the SoHo district of Orlando..! Great place for freshly cooked delicious dishes. I had a chef's special, Methi Butter Chicken with Naan and Rice. Really, really good! Nice interior and friendly staff! Recommended 100%..!

Service was very friendly and helpful. Place is nice and clean. I had the tandoori mix platter and that was excellent.

We really enjoyed the food selection in this restaurant. We went for their lunch buffet and it was so worth it. Its $16 per person and 5yo below is free. Theirs grilled chicken, butter chicken, naan bread and many more. For the drinks I got my favorite mango lassi and it was refreshing. Service was excellent, friendly and attentive crew. I can't wait to go back!

Chicken samosa - too delicious that I ate half before the pic. So sorry. The sauces that go with it are great.

My boyfriend and I came here for a date night last week. It was amazing! It wasn't very crowded and our waiter was super helpful. I'd actually only had Indian food a handful of times and it was my boyfriends first time. The waiter helped us pick our spice levels and explained how it works and recommended options. He was great! We started off with the chicken samosas and they were delicious. Perfect crisp on the outside. I loved the two sauces it came with but the mint one was my favorite. We ordered the butter chicken and lamb palak and had plenty of leftovers. I can't pick a favorite because they both were so different and both excellent flavor. You have to order some naan with it. We ordered the original kind but next time I'd try the garlic. We ordered medium spice but we both really love spicy foods. Great prices and a ton of delicious food. Thanks for a nice evening!

The consistently high ratings led me here for lunch and I was not disappointed. The interiors are tastefully modern and welcoming, with plenty of seating and pleasant decor. For meals, we went with the paneer makhani (4.5/5), chole bhature (5/5), vegetable malabari (5.5), and butter naan (4.5/5). All the meals were delicious and prepared using high quality ingredients, with no weak spots. I'd rank Bombay Street Kitchen among the top 2 Indian restaurants I've been to in the state (most Indian restaurants I've been to in Florida have been pretty underwhelming and average). Happy to round up my overall rating as service (5/5) was quick and friendly. The cheese naan is unlike any paneer naan we have tried before--almost like a cheesy quesadilla. They didn't have Aloo Choley listed, but when we asked, the kitchen put together a version with chickpeas and potatoes that turned out delicious. We ordered the Dal Maharani, and while our waitress asked about spice level, it felt like she made the decision for us. We enjoy spice, but even the first bite was hotter than we expected, and we barely ate any of it despite it being otherwise flavorful. Toward the end, our waitress asked us to leave a review... and then stood there waiting. When my husband said we were still chatting, she kept circling back to check, which felt pretty pushy. Later, when we requested to-go boxes, she said "there is no rush" and then disappeared. We had to ask again. Overall, the food is good and the staff is mostly friendly, but the unexpectedly fiery dal and the slightly overzealous service kept this from being a 5-star experience.

We went for the Thali, and it arrived like a feast--beautifully presented with a wide variety of dishes that felt both generous and thoughtfully prepared. The portions are no joke here; it's the kind of meal that keeps you going back for "just one more bite." What's even better is that they're happy to offer additional servings if you're still hungry, which makes the experience feel warm and hospitable rather than transactional. Flavor-wise, the food really shines. Each component of the Thali carries its own personality--rich, aromatic, and rooted in tradition. You can tell the kitchen isn't cutting corners when it comes to spices and authenticity. That said, a few items leaned a bit on the salty side for my taste. It didn't take away from the overall enjoyment, but it was noticeable enough to stand out among otherwise well-balanced dishes. All in all, it's a place that delivers on both quantity and authenticity. If you're craving a hearty South Indian meal that feels close to home-style cooking, Madras Cafe is definitely worth the visit. Come hungry--you'll need the appetite.

Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to expectations. My wife chose the buffet, assuming everything would be freshly prepared at opening time. To our surprise, every single item on the buffet line was cold -- from the rice and chicken dishes to the biryani and palak paneer. If a restaurant opens at 11:30, the food should be hot and ready to serve. Cold curries and rice immediately take away from both texture and flavor, and in this case, the dishes tasted flat and lacked the depth of spices you expect from Indian cuisine. Based on this visit, I would recommend skipping the buffet and ordering from the regular menu instead. Buffet selections often feel like the more economical options, and here they were devoid of the bold flavors that make Indian food so memorable. I ordered the chicken biryani from the à la carte menu. It was noticeably better -- aromatic and more flavorful than the buffet items. However, it still missed an important element. Traditionally, biryani is prepared by marinating the chicken and cooking it together with the rice so the spices infuse the meat and every bite is cohesive. In this case, while the rice carried some fragrance, the chicken itself was not well marinated and tasted bland on its own. It felt more assembled than thoughtfully cooked together. Another important point is pricing. The dishes are on the expensive side, and at those prices, the flavors and overall quality should be excellent. When you're paying premium prices, you expect depth of seasoning, proper preparation, and attention to detail -- not cold buffet trays or under-marinated meat. Service was the bright spot of the visit. The staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our meal. Overall, not a terrible experience, but certainly disappointing. With better attention to temperature, flavor development, and consistency, this place could justify its pricing -- but on this visit, it fell short.
