    Stuffed Mirchi
    Mohankrishna S.

The service is so confused. They mis- delivered our orders. Its a very limited sitting space restaurant. Coming to food, I think they forgot to buy salt. There is no salt in any of our dishses, or may be they tuned in to many patron's tastes. The Manchow soup is the only item we liked. The stuffed mirchi is not what I expected, me coming from Andhra. But thier take on it also is not tatsty. The idly is undercooked. Dosa is ok. The egg biryani, what they call it, is some masala-less masala rice with boiled eggs. No taste at all. My neighboring table was also complaining about thier poori, as it didnot look like poori but like a burnt Lijjat papad. Sory, but I wouldnot recommend this.

Chicken Shahi Korma, Tandoori Roti, Mango Lassi

I just had an amazing meal at Curry Bowl. I ordered the Mango Lassi, Tandoori Roti, and Chicken Shahi Korma. The food was fresh and PIPING hot (which is very important to me!), perfectly spicy, and full of so much depth and flavor. The staff was kind and helpful, and the ambiance was lovely. I look forward to coming back for their lunch buffet!!

Great flavors and lots of vegan options. The atmosphere is very pretty with many Indo-Chinese accents. Our waitress, Rosy, was super attentive and help us choose some really awesome dishes. We enjoyed an eggplant dish and a vegetable noodle entree. Both were spiced to our liking (medium heat). It is always nice to support a woman owned business. We will look forward to returning the next time we are in Maitland Florida.

Found this from a guy on tik tok. Didn't disappoint. First time at this Indian buffet. It's not your typical buffet, the staff will answer questions about the food and tell you what normally works well together. They don't charge kids under 5 and they gave 20% off for Mother's Day. Very clean place and welcoming space.

We came in for a work lunch and had a good experience! A few members of our group opted for the lunch buffet and liked it. We got garlic naan for the table and it was perfect. For my meal, I got the mild chicken vindaloo and a side of yogurt. The chicken was tender and the sauce was so incredibly flavorful with rich seasonings. Everyone enjoyed their food. We had multiple chicken and goat dishes and all were nice. Service was a little slow, but the food made up for it. The restaurant was cute, well decorated, and had good parking. This is a solid choice for casual Indian food. I'll definitely visit again.

I couldn't remember its name, but this appetizer stole the show.

If you love authentic Indian cuisine, you find this a great spot. We came for dinner, so the buffet, which serves during lunchtime was not available. We tried a few a la cart items, mainly curry or vindaloo with vegetables, chicken, or lamb, which were accompanied with rice. I tried mine hot, spicy hot, and learned my lesson, maybe not too hot next time, but it was very delicious. My niece ordered an appetizer which I forgot its name, and it was very good, served with two home made sauces, one spicy and another sweet. Two thumbs up from me.

This place was fantastic. The food was delicious as I went back to the buffet multiple times. I loved the fact that there were so many vegetarian options. They also had some sort of drink to the left of buffet, and at first I didn't like it but once I added some sugar... I LOVED IT!!! It was like a little espresso, but it wasn't. The atmosphere was relaxing and spacious. The waitress was polite and very accommodating to our large party of six. All in all, would come to this establishment again.

My plate with 3 different types of chicken, naan bread and 3 different types of rice. Absolutely delicious

I happen to be an hour and half early for an appointment and decided to check out Curry Bowl. They have two options... the buffet or à la carte. The buffet looked good and fresh so I decided to go with that. They have a lot of options, 3 different types of rice, several types of chicken, tandoori chicken (a little spicy but not hot) and many other options too many to mention here. I tried a little of each, very flavorful, aromatic and it was absolutely delicious and so was the Gulab jamun (dessert). The staff was really friendly and helpful, the restaurant had a nice ambience, soft music in the background and it was clean too! If you like Indian Cuisine than this is definitely the place you want to check out as you won't be disappointed.

Ambiance is nice. Good lighting, classy looking tables, some nice, chill Indian music playing softly in the background. Good stuff. Service was good. Our server was very friendly and did his best to answer our questions. We needed some allergy friendly food, and there were a few questions where he just didn't know and made a best guest. That's fair, I guess, but that just needs to be better. Food came out timely and nice and hot, the tandoori chicken sizzling up a storm. Now for the food. I started off by getting a Vegetarian Special Appetizer (A combination platter with samosa, aloo tikki, onion bhajiya, mixed pakoras and chili pakoras) for the table. These are always fun, because you don't always know what you're eating. Samosas are always wonderful, and the onion bhajiya is like a better latke. Get this if you like to sample things. Then I had a Lamb Biryani (Lamb and basmati rice cooked with saffron and spices, garnished with cilantro, nuts and raisins). If you're a biryani fan, I'd probably pass on this one. Not a great example of biryani. Very little saffron and other garnishes. There are other great things on this menu. Of course, I had to get some Garlic Naan (Light bread made with fresh garlic, herbs and cilantro). A+ delicious. Light, rippable, soft, garlicky, good for grabbing food like you don't have silverware and adding flavor and texture to every bite. The Chicken Tandoori (Chicken marinated overnight in yogurt with fresh Indian spices and grilled in a clay oven) came out last and on its own, sizzling like the center of attention like a steak fajita. Chicken was well-cooked and very tender. Lots of good flavor, but maybe a little too salty. Overall, this was a very good introduction to Indian food for a few of my co-workers. I'm glad we came. It was a nice visit.

I was ignored for the first five minutes, then given an incredulous look when I ordered so much food. (Hello leftovers for two more meals!) And I was questioned by staff twice if the spice level was okay, which I felt came with a judgmental tone since I requested medium, not the owner-recommended mild. The owner also tried to take back some of my to-go containers while I was still boxing up, which was awkward, then asked me to leave a review... I'd come back for the food, but probably just to-go because the service wasn't with a smile.

We chose Tabla Indian Restaurant in Winter Park. In order to find it you walk through a beautiful hallway lined with small shops, pass little ponds filled with large goldfish, and you truly can't miss the iconic big tree at the entrance--it's absolutely stunning. At the end of it all, you'll find the restaurant. Such a charming and memorable arrival. I arrived right as they opened and was the first guest in. Jose welcomed me with the warmest energy and invited me to sit anywhere I liked. When I hesitated, he kindly guided me to his favorite table--which immediately made me feel taken care of. I explained upfront that I cannot eat anything spicy. Without hesitation, he checked with his manager, who came over personally, introduced himself, and took the time to walk me through options. I truly appreciated how seriously they took my concern. He explained that because they often have guests like me, they've expanded their menu to include Chinese and Thai dishes as well--such a thoughtful touch. We ordered crispy garlic naan with raita, chicken tikka masala, and lamb korma. Jose even joked that if it didn't meet my expectations, the mango lassis would be on the house--which instantly made me smile. When the food arrived, I'll admit--I was hesitant... but hopeful. And then -- WOW. It was PERFECT. Truly. If I could've done cartwheels, I would have. I'm still so happy. It meant so much to me that they cared enough to make the experience right. That kind of effort speaks volumes. The chef even came out to check on me, and I had to give him a hug. Everything was just right. The naan perfectly crisp, the raita rich and creamy (not runny at all), and the lamb incredibly tender and full of flavor without any heat. For dessert, I noticed they offered gajar halwa (a carrot pudding you don't always find), and the chef made a special version with rice pudding; it was absolutely delicious. They also have an extensive wine list, and the restaurant itself is aesthetically beautiful, with a quaint outdoor seating area that adds to the charm. I truly cannot wait to go back. Every single person was so kind, and it made all the difference. When a restaurant goes above and beyond like this ... it stays with you.

Suriname cuisine is incredibly rare in the States--even in cities like Miami or New York--so having one right here in Orlando is a massive win! It is a wonderful experience; you'll hear the customers and staff alike all speaking Dutch, the official language of Suriname. As someone born in the U.S., I find it fascinating--it's like a little trip abroad without needing a passport! I can't believe we have this right here in Orlando. A Global Reputation, Now in Orlando! Roopram Roti is a well-established name, famous in Suriname and across the Netherlands. People were actually traveling from New York and Miami just to be here for the food! It's located in the industrial area on OBT, and while it might feel a little out of the way, I promise it is well worth the trip. The Warm Welcome & My Experience: The owner is super nice and greeted us right at the register. She was so sweet and welcoming; you can tell there is so much care put into the community. To anyone who went to the Grand Opening on Saturday and dealt with the crazy lines: please don't let that put you off! I went back on Monday, and it was a completely different experience. There were only a few tables, we were helped right away, and our food was out in minutes. It was every bit as delicious as the first time! The Food: Authentic Suriname Hindustani Cuisine As their own description says, this is the place for Suriname's Hindustani food--a beautiful fusion of flavors. * The Roti: A beautiful, thin, savory wrap with ground chickpeas tucked right inside the dough. * The "Wrap" is the Way to Go: For your first time, I highly recommend the boneless chicken wrap. It's filled with delicious curry potatoes and meat. * The Barra: You must try the Barra (plain, or stuffed with potato or chicken!). It's a savory, fried snack that is pure comfort food. * A Note on Spice: The food really sings with a bit of pepper, but they keep the spicy sauces on the side so you can control the heat yourself. The Full Menu Experience: * Wok Fried Rice & Noodles: They have Tjauwmin (Suriname Chow Mein) and Fried Rice that are soulful and packed with unique spices! * Variety of Meats: They have everything! Duck, Lamb, Goat, and even Chicken Fillet. My husband even tried the liver wrap and loved it. * Tumeric Fried Chicken: If you have someone who isn't sure about curry, they have amazing fried chicken and fries too! A Note to the Owners: How to Stay in Orlando Forever! We love your food and want you to stay! Since many Americans might not know what "Roti" is yet, here are some friendly suggestions from a fan: 1. Shout it from the Sidewalk: Use yard signs or a sign-waver out front to catch the eyes of people passing by. 2. Pictures are Everything: Putting big, beautiful photos of the food in the windows will show people exactly what they are missing. 3. Explain the Magic: A sign that says "Delicious Savory Curry Wraps!" helps people who don't know the word "Roti" understand the menu. 4. Invite the Critics: Reach out to local food bloggers, vloggers, and the newspaper! Once the influencers start shouting about this, you'll have a line out the door every day. 5. A Wishlist for the Future: We love the Hindustani menu, but if you ever add Bami, Nasi, or Lumpia down the road, your fans would be over the moon! Suriname is a vibrant country on the northeastern coast of South America. Its food is a spectacular fusion of Indian, African, and Dutch influences--incredible curries and rotis with a soul all their own. Nyan switi! (Enjoy your meal!)
