Had lunch here on a weekday with coworkers. We were greeted when we walked in. The restaurant is authentic. They had music videos in the background. We were seated and they gave us bottled water. We had the lunch buffet. I tried a few new things I never had before. The crispy cauliflower is very good. I love naan bread. They had good warm naan. I dipped it in masala sauce and curry. I wasn't a fan of the desserts they had. Just wasn't my taste. But everything else was good. Great place for some quick authentic food. read more

This place is a hidden gem! Portions are huge, price is unbeatable, and food was really good. My fiancé went first with his Indian coworkers for the lunch buffet and had to bring me back there later on for dinner. According to my fiancé, they have the best Indian buffet in town with a huge selection while everything tasted amazing. As for dinner, all of the food was really good!!!! I've been a few times now for buffets both during work lunch hour and weekend. They are consistent in great quality of food and their selections are always changing. Extra kudos for a varied selection of vegetarian options! Other buffets offer one main curry and sides. I was happy to see a vegetarian curry and a paneer masala along with several assortment of fried veggies. Never tried baby corn pikoda before and it was bomb! Like a spicy crispy fritter packed with flavor! Meat eaters will be happy with the oxtail curries, goat curries, and the ubiquitous and tasty butter chicken. There are also at least two kinds of breads, two kinds of desserts, two kinds of rice and a bunch of chutnies! I'm telling you the selection is great! I also appreciate that the buffet containers are modestly sized, and are constantly refilled. The food is cooked in smaller batches and you are guaranteed a freshly cooked food that hasn't been sitting there. The staff is very friendly and clear plates and offer water bottles as needed (which are included in price of buffet). Also don't miss the little carafe of chai tea near the dishes. Overall, great selection of dishes with a modest price. I'm going to have to remember to ask if they have dosas next time I visit... then it would be a 5 star :) read more

This is really tucked away, but the food is incredible for the few options in Maitland. This is some of the best Indian food I've had down here. The Goat Curry came recommended. Very spicy, but just right without being overwhelming. Tons of tender lamb in there with a deep tasting and well seasoned curry with some tomato in there. My lovely work mates arranged to come here for my farewell lunch here and kudos for their good taste!! I really enjoyed the food here, and it being a lunchtime buffet set-up, made it easy for folks to get started on eating straightaway without any wait times. I was impressed by all the variety of chutneys (x6) that are available - these are located separately, at a buffet station off to the side. The main buffet is a very good mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes as well as a combination of food items from both North India and South India. I was initially disappointed that they were no dosas available in the buffet. However I then found out that this is an item that was indeed included as part of the buffet, but you had to let the wait staff know you wanted this option. So we alerted the staff, and sure enough, a heaping plate of crispy and super thin Dosas found their way to our table soon and were devoured very quickly! I want to give a shout out to one menu item - something in the buffet that I enjoyed the most and that was the Potato bonda. It was so flavorful and just had such a perfect amount of soft potato enclosed in a crispy chickpea batter! I definitely ate more of this dish then I was planning too! Dessert options at the buffet were also another highlight. Both the gulab jamun and the South Indian styled Kheer aka rice pudding had a satisfying richness, without being overwhelming sweet. Then to top it off, there's also cups of lovely chai available to bring the meal to a perfect conclusion. All in all, very glad came here and left with a satisfied belly. We placed an order from Curry Bowl online from their website. When we were notified of the delivery we opened the front door to find the bag of food there, and the mango lassi I ordered lying onnits side and spilling out. So that was some loss right off the bat. We started with the veg platter appetizer. There were French fries in it. Nowhere in the dish description are fries mentioned. This seems like a cheap substitution to make. The chicken biryani was mi ssing gravy. No side packet of gravy was sent along with our order. Finally, we ordered shrimp fry and they sent partially cooked shrimp curry/gravy instead. We called them to ask about the fry and they said that the delivery driver said the fry was taking too long and that the order should be changed to something quicker. I cannot believe they allowed a delivery driver to change the order! Completely unacceptable. Very, very disappointed in our order from start to finish. read more

With a Chili on the logo be prepared to be hit in the face with spicy food! Here's why I gave it 3 stars. For me I LOVE spicy so I didn't have too much of an issue with the food but for my friend who loves Indian food and Indian buffets this was a bit much for him. The decor was pretty standard photos of India and traditional artwork, they've only been open for a couple of weeks so good on them they were pretty busy for lunch so it's going to be great once they jump a few small hurdles. The server handed us bottled water to begin with which was okay but my friend wanted a sweet tea which they brought in a tiny glass, so larger glasses would be a suggestion and I would've been fine with tap water personally but it was still nice to get the bottle upon arrival. There were no clear descriptions of the food so I sort of just went for a bite of everything and wasn't disappointed except for the chicken still had small bones and that included even the chicken that wasn't marked "with bone" so that was a bit daunting. Everything had a delicious flavor, I was certainly impressed and in the future will order from the menu rather than taking a chance at the buffet since I wasn't sure what I was eating and don't know the names I can only suggest the paneer which was my favorite, the lemon rice, Naan and a vegetarian curry mix of peas and potatoes (again not sure of the name and should note this was the least spicy for my non spicy loving friends.) I tried all of the chutneys and loved them all, they all especially the mint tasted very fresh and the white sauce was delicious. I didn't see soup bowls so I just put a small bit of soup in a silver bullet, I would've liked a bowl for at least the soup and rice and curry. One note to the owner, when going to the bathroom we saw some ladies with their hands in a big cambro of sauce and they weren't using any kitchen utensils or gloves. I am not the type to be super squeamish, I've worked in the back of the house kitchen and I know you don't always wear gloves but to see hands in a pot of sauce was unexpected and a suggestion would be to do it behind closed doors at least for customers who aren't as understanding. But on that note it certainly felt like we had a unique and original experience for our lunch! Overall I would suggest if for a quick lunch if you're in Maitland, it's much better than the surrounding restaurants and chain places nearby but I will go back again and order from the regular menu. I do not get to come in this side of town often, but I met up with a friend at this local spot. In the mix of all the office buildings is this hidden gem. We came for a late lunch at 1:30pm and avoided the crowds. I tried their lunch buffet and unfortunately there wasn't much to choose from anymore but am happy I tried what I did anyway. The selection is not huge but decent variety. The naan bread is soft and pairs perfectly with their delicious butter chicken. The butter chicken was tender and super saucy which is nice with the naan bread or their rice. I really did like their 555 chicken, but unfortunately again since we came later they didn't have much anymore and doesn't seem like they were going to refill most of the dishes. The sweet honey round balls, sorry I do not remember the name, was too sweet for me. My favorite items were the naan, butter chicken, and 555 chicken. The negative thing I didn't like was that they didn't refill any of the buffet items except the naan bread while we were there. I would have liked to try more but when we got there there wasn't much to choose from anymore. So I suggest come early otherwise past 1:30pm you would not have much to choose from. read more

Been here a few times and it just keeps getting better with the day. Tried a few dishes from the menu and I can say Indo-Chinese and South Indian are their specialities. Visit 1: Tried rice with House special pachadi (chutney) and it tastes good. Sambar idly/wada with peanut chutney is good. I will continue adding/editing my review as I try other dishes here. Visit 2: If you are a South Indian ask for Spicy Paneer/Chicken 65 and I bet your memory of tastes from your local restaurant back in India will reminisce softly. If you like to taste authentic South Indian food, this is the best place in Orlando area. Tried their buffet which has wide selection of both veg and non veg dishes, and they are all good. Tried the Palak Panneer, Chicken Vindaloo and Goat biriyani And they are very tasty. On the down side, it would be nicer if the interiors are maintained and organized in a better way. Also if the tables are cleaned in a better way, it would be nicer. Anyways, for the people who cares for the tasty food, this is the best place. Definitely will go again. read more

I finally tried this place after passing it so many times and my first experience did not disappoint. They do have dine-in, but I opted to go. Nice quiet place. I believe they have outdoor seating but don't quote me. I ordered the chicken vindaloo, medium spicy, that also came with a side of basmati rice and ordered the garlic naan. The chicken vindaloo was very good. I feel like I could've used a touch bit more salt which I added to everybody's different but the flavor was on point and it had just the right amount of spice. The portion was very good, enough for two servings. I enjoy the garlic naan it was a little thinner than what I'm used to, but I ate the whole thing, so no complaints. I don't remember how much I paid but I believe the price was reasonable considering the portion size it took about 15 minutes, which I waited outside and when it was ready, then let me know. Sunday night curry. Two vegetable samosas were too much for one! Server's recommendation had perfect heat without being too much! Chicken Chattinad (chicken with red chili, curry leaves and curry bowl special spices), rice and naan was perfect. Complementary gulaab jamun for dessert was the perfect finish! My husband and I stopped in here for Indian food after ice skating down the block. We ordered the butter chicken, aloo gobi and garlic naan with medium spice. Everything was delicious. The butter chicken was served with tandoori chicken and a nice curry sauce. The aloo gobi tasted great and the cauliflower really complimented the sauce. They included free bottle water and a small dessert. Service was attentive and the food arrived quickly. Another plus is they stay open late so we were able to catch a late dinner here. Been waiting for this place to open for so long and finally the day has come! It was well beyond worth the wait!! The service was phenomenal! The owners were all there explain the buffet items and offering recommendations.. The buffet line had many items featured on the regular menu, we were highly satisfied with the options.. All of the food was cooked to perfection and were all kept at the perfect temperature! My absolute favorite was the Butter Chicken with naan bread and rice.. The lunch buffet was fairly priced at $11.99. Everyone I was with including others at different tables were all impressed and kept mumbling about how good everything tasted.. Tried this place on a recommendation from a coworker and they did not disappoint! I was curious so I tried many treats while there and took a few hard to find items to go because I had no space left in my tummy during the meal. I had the Gobi Manchurian as an appetizer and the flavor and freshness were nice. Most dishes came with a spray of red onion and a lime garnish. For my main entree Palak Gosh with Lamb and it was very flavorful. I also got the garlic naan and thank the Lord it WASN'T BURNT!! So many restaurants tend to burn it but here it was pillowy and delicious. I asked for mild spice on all but one dish and it was handled perfectly. I know sometimes when you request mild the dish comes out still on the hot side but this was just right (baby bear style).. :). My food was so good I got a Lamb Biryani to go as well. Ive been looking at Indian restaurant menus far and wide for Gajjar ka Halwa and they had it! I was so excited I bought one for me and one to share with a friend and Rasmalai as well to taste. Those I will test another day but I was able to taste their Gulab Jamun and a mango lassi and both were well prepared and just the right amount of sweetness. My gulab jamun was a little cold but overall it was tasty. Given that they just opened yesterday, the food presentation and flavors is very well executed. They are reasonably priced and on a side of town where Im not sure I know of ANY other Indian restaurants so I know they will become a favorite of residents near by.
