I live about 200 miles away, but he's from Milwaukee so it made sense and I appreciate it. Anyway, it was the end of the season so they were only selling pre-boxed creams and nuts inn1 lb. boxes. These were the best chocolates I've ever had. Not a bad one in any of the boxes. No pinks, or oranges, or lemons. Just the ones I love. Maple creams, coconut, vanilla, chocolate and then the nutty ones were fabulous. I like dark chocolate over milk chocolate but both were really good. I plan to visit Oshkosh in the next several weeks (for the first time), so I will definitely stop in at Hughes for a few pounds. I may actually get more than 3 lbs. because they freeze real well for future delights. I'm not sure what else there is to do in Oshkosh, but Hughes is gonna be on the list for sure.

I truthfully thought my mom was lost as we were navigating through what felt like a mixture of abandoned offices and libraries, but we did come to a shop in the back. Upon entering the door, we were greeted by a friendly gentleman. He pointed out samples of the toffee and roasted pecans. There was four toffee and four roasted pecans. He explained each one to us and a few of them were award winners. He asked us to try them all if we wanted. The four of us all LOVED the rosemary pecans. The toffee was good, and I'll be back in the future to get some of that. Overall great options and really appreciate the friendly service and extra explanation on products.

They serve "Italian soda" and since they have NO diet drinks I had to have the diabetes inducing watermelon flavor. Get a large, and if you ask them to hold the nonrecyclable plastic straw, they will. They make a delicious cherry tart, and of course they have delicious chocolates. The Victorian Chocolate Shoppe was the first place we stopped, What a cute and wonderful little shop with lots of homemade goodness and other nostalgic candies. Everything looked great! We got some really good dark chocolate toffee and dark chocolate covered Stroopwaffel cookies...Yum! Most of the stuff was pretty standard but they had a few things I have never seen like the Stroopwaffels. I also got some non sour cherry hard candy drops that I loved. It's a must stop in Sheboygan.
