This summer, I decided to buy a scooter. I went to the Honda Town website, because they are one of two dealerships in the twin cities that sell Honda scooters, according to the Honda website. I filled out the information form which included my specifications of what I was looking for in a scooter. I received a stock email in response, and then waited to be contacted. Salespeople, right - I was sure I'd get a call the next day! (I work nights, and wasn't filling out the form during business hours...) Nope. A week went by, and I still wasn't contacted. I replied to the email, but never received a response. If the website is broken, they need to fix it. Otherwise, they may want to find sales staff that actually wants to sell some items! read more

I bought a Grom the day before the riots. It was in the back for the pre-purchase inspection and was luckily left untouched. When I arrived in the early am it took me several minutes to realize that there were no windows. Everyone was very helpful and friendly the day before and after for the pickup. Especially seeing how they didn't get much sleep that night. I'll be back. read more

about one month and half, I called Honda town for 3 motorcycle 2 CT90 TRAIL and One C70, TO DO OIL CHANGE AND FILLTER AND TUNEUP. they said it will take 2 weeks to get them done. i called in after the 2 weeks to get an update and found out they are not done yet so said by the end of the 3rd week or early the 4th week will get them done. now I called back, and it is the 5th weeks they said Oh we have one of the techs left last week??? the summer almost near ending, so i have decide to pull the bikes out this crap dealer. and guess what? someone put water into my gas tank, and we could not get it started. this is going to be reported to BBB. Didn't buy a scooter, a motorcycle or anything else that was at Honda Town, but I did deal with some really nice, knowledgable and helpful staff. I called to see whether or not they picked up- which they said on occasion they did. Too bad it wasn't this one. He did give me an alternative company to call. Not being that mechanically inclined, I did the best I could to order a part that thankfully wasn't needed because it would have been the wrong thing. If I do need one in the future, I will be coming to Honda Town. Their parking lot is a little strange, I had to drive around a few times just to figure out how to get in. They share it with a use car dealership and the entrance is narrow and just didn't feel like an entrance, but I used it anyway. read more

I bought a 2015 Honda Metropolitan here. Great guy got it ready for me in about 30 minutes and filed for my tabs and even mailed my license plate to me. Lots of cool stuff in here. ATV's, scooters, cycles, mowers. Way cool store! The guys in the back were super cool too. read more

On my previous 8,000 mile service interval visit, the mechanic warned me that my motorcycle tires needed to be replaced. Since that previous visit took two weeks, I asked Marshall Kirkholm if we could order the tires first and then bring in the bike when the tires arrived. He agreed to this, and he agreed to complete the work within two days. He made good on this promise. I am very pleased. read more

Bought my Honda Metropolitan 2006 from Honda Town. They have been my go-to maintenance shop as well. Did a 2500 mile tune up and replaced battery with them. A month later, I had an issue with scooter dying in the middle of rush hour downtown traffic. I couldn't get it to start. I had to tow it to Honda Town. They fixed it saying the battery was very low. It didn't make sense to me and I explained to them that I have been driving it 5-6 times a week. In the end, Honda Town didn't charge me for charging the battery. Still unsure what the problem is, but I feel that Honda Town were reasonable and did not charge be for charging the battery. read more

My wife and I were in Minnesota last weekend for the 2017 Patriot Ride in Blaine. My new Goldwing showed low tire pressure and I found what I thought was a nail in the rear. I found Honda Town on google and went there just as they opened. After explaining I needed a tire repair, their first question was 'does it have a center stand' because if it don't we can't fix it. Now one would think that a Honda dealership would know that a Gold wing HAS a center stand. They say it will take 2 hours or more to fix. I offered to remove my tire myself as it takes 2 minutes to do. After 2 hours, they tell me the 'nail' was actually a rock and no repair was needed after taking off my back tire, un-mounting the tire and finding nothing. Good deal...I think. They charged me $100 for a nothing repair. I have been to other dealerships who take very good care of 'travelers' coming through the area but this charge was ridiculous. The staff were friendly but customer service of over charging for nothing is something I did not agree with. What choice do you have when so far from home. read more

Marshall was pretty cool. I brought in my bike for repair and I was out the next day. They do quite a bit here, not just limited to repair. I really liked the place, been coming here for a while now along with my father. I hope they continue to stick around and thrive! Although I've been buying parts for my bikes for years at Honda Town, I have taken my '97 Shadow ACE there twice for repairs: water pump last year and new front bearings this year. Unfortunately, both times were before long weekend rides. But they were able to finish the work both times in time, even though I know there was a long line of bikes to be repaired ahead of me. The service manager and mechanics are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Labor prices are very competitive. Parts tend to be a bit more expensive, but they're OEM parts and they're a dealership. I would definitely go back. read more

I called around to see where I could get in the soonest for a coolant leak that I had been unable to locate on my VTX 1800N. The lady answering the phone said they were caught up in service and to bring it in right away, so I did that on a Thursday. Red flag: they had never seen my model of VTX before, even though it was a 7 year old bike and they are a Honda dealer. The next day I called and they hadn't gotten to it because they "had a bunch of bikes waiting on a parts order". Not sure why they said they were caught up, but OK. So they called me on Saturday with a diagnosis and an estimate. It needed a new radiator--and also brake pads all around. The estimate was high but they don't call dealers "stealers" for nothing. I consented to the work. I do wish I had done the brakes myself, but they did not bait and switch me on prices-just a little more labor time than I might have expected. The long and short of it is that the total came in at what they estimated. The prices are high, but no higher than any other dealer. So far it looks as if the bike is repaired and running well. If Yelp had a 10-point scale I would give them an 8. read more
