His ornery shtick is all in the interest of avoiding misunderstandings and preventing dissatisfied customers. It took a couple of weeks for parts to arrive and the repair cost more than I had hoped, but the mixer runs like a dream and a new one would've cost more, worked less well, and created unnecessary waste.
