Our central air conditioning unit was having a few issues and Valley Heating and Cooling came out…read morelast year to promptly service our unit. We made the decision to replace the central air unit and had Valley come out and give us a quote on the work. Their quote was very competitive and we wanted to have them replace our unit based upon the excellent service we had received in the past. Our job took two days to complete and the work crew sent out to our house was excellent. They laid down tarps to protect our floors from any debris (we had all of our duct work replaced). In addition we have a small dog who was very curious about their work and really thought they came to visit with her - they were very nice to her and gave her attention. The crew worked very efficiently and answered any of our questions and review details with us along the way. Our new WIFI thermostat had not come in so they installed a digital thermometer and then came back and replaced it with the WIFI unit as soon as it came in. They made the experience pleasurable and we would highly recommend them for both installation and service. It's a pleasure to do business with Valley!

We dealt with Mike, one of the two brothers that did the job. They were both incredibly friendly, neat and clean, and worked quickly. They went out of our way and went above and beyond what we ever could have expected. I had asked them to leave off the toe kick heater in the kitchen to bring the cost down $400, which allowed me to get the loan approval. They ended up installing a small section of baseboards anyway for no extra cost because he told my dad he didn't feel right leaving me with nothing in the kitchen. On their website their tagline is "Quality Means Doing it Right When No One is Looking!" They definitely exemplified this through their work and the decisions they made while completing my upgrade. I am not an HVAC expert by any means, so I was honest with Mike telling him I know enough to know what I don't know. I told him I would rely on their expert decisions to do the right thing and that I wanted to trust them to tell me what I needed to do. They most certainly didn't let me down. Thank you!

ALL PROPANE PLUS CUSTOMERS: I am writing this to warn other homeowners about the gross negligence I…read moreexperienced with Propane Plus. My home that I purchased less than a month ago, was unable to maintain temperatures above 55-57°F, significantly below the state legal habitability standard of 68°F. Despite two separate service calls sending Anthony Watts, this company's "expertise" cost my family over $1,300 in unnecessary expenses and weeks of hardship. The Failure of Due Diligence: During the first visit, the technician dismissed our concerns, claiming the unit was "fine" and that the cold was simply due to having an "old house." Keep in mind our heating system is TWO years old. I was charged $300 for this dismissive and incorrect assessment. When the issue persisted, my young children are freezing, and I called them back for a second look, the technician performed a combustion test and again insisted the system was functioning perfectly. Although the house never broke 57 degrees while the heat was on. The Reality: After two failed diagnostics by this firm, I hired a second company. They identified the issue within minutes: the main supply line for the first floor was completely disconnected. This is a textbook case of professional negligence. For a technician with "10+ years of experience" to miss a detached main trunk line while 80% of my heat was pumping directly into the attic is inexcusable. I have numerous photos for reference. Because of this oversight, my system ran continuously for two weeks trying to heat the outdoors. This resulted in: $1,000 in wasted propane burned in just 14 days. $300 in service fees paid to a company that failed to perform a basic visual inspection of the air delivery system. Safety concerns for my family, as we were left in a freezing home during peak winter. If you are looking for a company that performs thorough troubleshooting and respects your hard-earned money, look ELSEWHERE. I am currently seeking a full refund for the service fees and restitution for the fuel damages caused by their lack of professional care.
