My sweet potato fries came with a fluffy dipping "sauce" which should be illegal! Next trip I'm getting the Nachos which comes with brisket, chicken or pork. Bonus- the bar stools are comfy!

This restaurant is pretty cool and there were plenty of people already indulging, so our hopes were high. Three of us ordered the chopped brisket plate, with x2 sides. The menus listed the cost at $17.49 which seemed reasonable. We ordered a few appetizers, some drinks and a plate for the kids (who ate at the festival) to split. They were very short staffed with only two people working the floor, one of which was the overworked (as far as we were concerned) bartender who took our order at a table. The bartender did her bartending and the drinks were very good. However, whoever was working the kitchen did a subpar job; and the bill was fouled up. My brisket plate included sides of onion rings and fried okra, along with cornbread. I personally was not happy with my selections, taste-wise. The brisket was fairly flavorless and seemed "old" to me. The onion slices within the rings were watery, albeit the rings themselves were firm (not much flavor however). The okra, again, did not have much flavor to them and I failed to finish them. The cornbread was nothing special either. The others felt their food selections were "okay", but this is my review and I disagreed with them - it could've (should've) been better. Upon getting the bill we discovered that we were charged $20.49 for those advertised $17.49 plates. There also was an added 'Florida Tea' cocktail that was not only not delivered, but never ordered. I recommend you check your bills thoroughly before paying. This may have been an anomaly, but maybe not. As for me personally I won't choose to return here anytime soon, unless I am outvoted by the company I keep.

Took the family to Burger Bunker in Auburndale and we're already planning our next trip back!…read moreWe ordered two Bunker Burgers, one classic cheeseburger, and a kids' chicken nugget meal. Everything was absolutely spot-on. The Bunker Burgers tasted like the old-school drive-in burgers -- juicy, perfectly seasoned patties, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and that soft toasted bun that just ties it all together. You can tell they're using quality beef and making things fresh. Even the simple cheeseburger was packed with flavor, and the kids demolished their nuggets (real chicken, crispy outside, tender inside) and fries without a single complaint. Service was fast, friendly, and professional -- our food came out hot and exactly as ordered, which is huge when you've got hungry kids in tow. No missing items, no mix-ups, just pure efficiency. Burger Bunker is a hidden gem in Auburndale. If you're craving a real, no-nonsense, delicious burger that reminds you of the good ol' days, this is the place. Highly recommend! We'll be regulars for sure.

There was no salt. There was no pepper, there was nothing on that steak. Had the steak had some seasoning on it, it could have been a very good sandwich. However, it was not and I give it a thumbs down and I will not go there anymore.

The outside patio is beautifully decorated with lights, tables and chairs and greenery with foliage to create that natural outdoor vibe. When you enter, it's like walking into a small home where you greeted and seated by a hostess or server. There's a main great room and 2 smaller rooms that have seating as well and ambiance lighting throughout for intimate gatherings. The bathrooms are clean and fully stocked with necessities. As for the food, I got the Brussel sprouts salad without goat cheese which was delicious . It was about the size of my fist for $13. I assumed it was more of a tasting menu. My mother got the gnocchi which was described as delicious but lukewarm in temperature. She loved the beet salad however and the side of sour dough bread. My dad got a 13oz steak with potato purée. His steak was good in flavor however he described it as a bit too tough, and could have been more tender. Since he is a retired chef of 40 years I value his input. My other family members ordered the egg yolk ravioli which seemed a bit of a strange combination but certainly worked out in flavor. The labneh that was with the beet salad was also paired and eaten with the sourdough bread which seemed to be a great idea. Unfortunately the bolognese pasta was not tender enough for my family's liking. If you like pasta that way then you should be just fine. Over all it was fine dining and good. If you would like to go to a place where the portions are a bit larger I would suggest another place. But this is a nice casual dining intimate place for any special small occasion. Last but not least, Beth our server was kind and sweet. She was patient and very accommodating with great table manner and should certainly be recognized for her gracious nature and hospitality.
