    Roaches and mold

    DO NOT DO IT. IM TELLING YOU.. DO NOT DO IT ! I signed a short term lease with Hometeam properties and was living in an inhabitable apt. Noticed roaches two days after move in. I also was waking up not being able to breathe, had a sore throat, and felt sick for about most of my lease. I would have friends stay over and they would complain about how stuffy there nose, sore throats, and there breathing as well. That let me know that I was not crazy. MAN they came to check the air and said nothing was wrong and to get an air purifier. I invested in one. Nothing changed. They told me the only way I could get out of my lease was to get someone else to sublease. I could not do that, could not lie to someone about the space they were signing up for. UGHH It made me so sick to give them my hard earned money. Let alone feeling sick while making that money to pay for a space that could not provide me with a healthy living. LISTEN I PRAY SOMEONES DADDY OR MOMMY HAS THE MONEY TO SUE THIS COMPANY. I moved out a few days ago and will be grateful for simply the air I breathe. If you made it this far thanks for watching. And hometeams wow so disappointed in you.

    PARENTS AND STUDENTS SAVE YOURSELF! DO NOT RENT THROUGH HOMETEAMS! I would give 0 stars if possible. Hometeam Properties was a mess the whole time. Health violations they lied to us about, charges that don't make sense, impossible to get in contact with, biohazard materials being left in our apartment for weeks without any accommodation or attempt to fix the issue, they towed MY car from the parking spot I payed for. AND SO MANY MORE ISSUES! I am begging you to avoid this company for your own good, don't make the same mistake I did youll regret it. I lived with LITERALLY SEWAGE and human waste in my basement and it took them weeks to accomplishes the issue. And they only did so since I threatened to get a legal team involved. If this isn't enough to convince you I don't know what is. Here's an image of the sewage that sat in my apartment without any help of management.

    I would refrain from leasing from this organization. Difficult to deal with, in part because they go out of their way to be evasive.

There were some fixes needed during our stay. The management and maintenance team responded to our requests in a very timely manner. For example, There were two ceiling fans that makes weird squeaking noises in the house. After we reported the issue they immediately contacted the property owner and brought two brand new fans for installation. No hassle, no extra charge, no back and forth arguments. We are very glad that we chose this company instead of renting from a private landlord. I think they are very professional and have a high quality of customer service.

The house was advertised to be noise-proof but I can hear the neighbor's conversations. Not to mention the sounds of their dog walking around the house. It's not the neighbor's fault-- they are just living their lives. But wow, I have lived under at least 5 different housing management teams before and it has never been this bad. Maintenance requests do not get done until couple months later, and even if they come over to fix the said problem, I can't tell that it was properly fixed. I honestly can not WAIT until I can move out of this house. EDIT: Bijan (the landlord) and I had a conversation. We came to the consensus that there was quite a bit of miscommunication on both sides of the party. Bijan definitely cares about the tenants' well-being. Once a distinct & straight-forward maintenance system is placed, I have no problems with this management company.

So many places, so many five bedroom, four bedrooms.... I was lost myself. That was until I came upon offcampus.Osu.edu. The first place that I saw within our budget I clicked on and immediately saw from the drop down menu "parents". Clicked on it, read the passage, and honestly teared up when reading it because I said my husband and I need a place like this for our son. They had a slogan and it read "who you rent from matters more than where you live". And those words spoke to my heart and said "Home". I reached out to "Venice Properties" and spoke to, Anna. She was kind, thorough, and after me making multiple calls she remained responsive, and truly dedicated to her craft of initiating care, support, and understanding. On this day! Today! My husband and our son filled out the applications and on this evening, today! Were approved. I don't say this lightly but Anna again and again thank you as who we communicate with during a busy day also matters. Aram and Jaime were both grossly unprofessional and rude when I called to complain about our furnace not working (it's currently 30° outside and 36° inside our home) and to complain about them raising our rent RETROACTIVELY (for two months) and Aram told me they will proceed with eviction proceedings, claiming we were late on paying rent. We've lived here for over a year and have NEVER been late paying rent and the past few months have been no exception to this. I contacted the OWNER of the property and he assured me that we will NOT be evicted and he agreed that Aram and Jaime were very unprofessional. If you want threats of eviction for making a complaint, these might be the folks for you. If not, you might want to look elsewhere. We are absolutely going to be filing suit against this slumlord management company. Their ONE STAR rating on Yelp speaks for itself. When was the last time you saw a ONE STAR review for ANY business?! I don't think I've ever seen that until now.
