On October 21, I traveled to Midland Marble & Granite's fabrication shop location in Independence…read more I toured their shop, which was well organized. And, the staff that worked there were friendly. They worked with me and listened to my ideas for a tabletop piece I was making for an outdoor base that I had purchased recently. I looked at a large variety of surfaces in the inventory they had available. In the end we were able to find just the right piece in the pile of remnants that they keep on hand. It fit with my base perfectly. They talked me through how they would create the piece, and I was also able to select the type of beveled edge that I desired. After all the decisions were made, they said the piece would be ready within a few business days. True to their word, it was delivered to me within that time frame. The person who delivered the piece was knowledgeable and helpful when unloading and instructed me on how to move the tabletop safely. He also gave me some advice on how best to attach the piece to the base. Once attached, the final product looks great, the way they cut it to maximize the grain in the marble. Based on this experience, I would definitely trust them to use their services in the future for any kind of kitchen and/or bath remodel that I would do.

The samples of the flooring in the store are much thicker then reality. You pay Lowe's, they sub out the labor to the lowest bidder. The lowest bidder acts like the lowest bidder and has terrible install. After they have your money, the store has little control of the work and you don't have a contact besides the store. So expect many phone calls to Lowe's and and broken promises of call backs. Also, there are no English speakers on the install crew. So good luck communicating problems and issues. I also felt that Dave was very knowledgeable in recommending colors and what would best suite our home. That being said, the end result of the work done left me way less than satisfied. They installed and refinished hardwood floors in our new home and a ton of scratch marks were left all over the place. When I asked about the scratches I was told they were normal and unavoidable, but I've never seen anything like this and from what I've heard from others it's definitely not normal or unavoidable. In addition, I found stain splattered on our wall and a big splotch of it on the floor. Finally, when they installed the base shoe after they were done, it was left chipped on the ends and honestly looks pretty unprofessional. This was a huge expense for our family and I am really disappointed that it didn't turn out better.
