If you are religious then there's some of stuff for you, including angel figurines, books and CD's on religious themes. Even if you're not religious but like inspirational sayings on coasters, canvas ($20) or wood boards ($8) then this is the place to pick some up. They had some really great pieces for the home; you could put them up somewhere in your house and have a kind of motto for your family or home. They had some unique pieces of jewelry made from stone and glass. Oh, I found some really great photos that they had. They were these beautiful pictures of these big strong trees and they were kind of faded in color to make it antique looking; they came in these really nice simple wooden frames. These photos where not too big (I don't know the dimensions) but they were about $16 each. The people who worked there, I don't know if they were the owners or not, but they were really nice. The store was filled to the rim with things, so you can take your time and look around. I would advice you to be careful and try not to knock anything down; the store is a tight fit if you have a big bag like I do.

This store is actually an Asian gift store that sells mostly Chinese items. When I walked in, the owner greeted me right away and said that I might find some nice Christmas presents here. I was trying to keep an open mind--maybe I would find some presents here. I started looking around and didn't see anything particularly eye-catching. There were some cheap Chinese purses, out-of-date toys, and cup & spoon sets for babies. The owner came around again and asked me if I had any questions. Then he started to tell me about the remote-control cars and how popular they once were. I love imported merchandise, but I've been to other Asian stores that have much cooler stuff. I kept looking around and saw some very nice crystal blocks that had little carvings in them. They were nice, but nothing that I'd want to buy. There were also some knives, swords, and marijuana paraphernalia as well. It was a really weird mixture of merchandise. There was even some Himalayan rock lamps, but they were a little overpriced. Then I saw some nice stone bracelets. The owner came to talk to me again and was telling me all about the different stones. I thought one of them was nice, but I didn't want to spend $15, since I already spend a lot of money earlier. Then I walked over to another area, where there was a bunch of art and little statuettes. The owner explained to me how these are used for luck and good energy. Then I found out that the owner is actually an artist and he makes a lot of these items and many of the paintings hanging on the walls too. I really wanted to like this store. I could feel that the owner really wanted me to buy something, but nothing really captured me. I think if it was just an art store, it might work better, but the imported toys and purses and things didn't really make sense, and they really weren't that great anyway. Despite the address being on 122 St, it's actually located in a ground floor suite right on 121 St right across from the Brewery District, close-ish to 104 Ave. There is angled parking out front. It's a cute and quaint little boutique filled with treasures beautifully displayed. My favourite was a selection of jewelry tucked in between pages of an antique novel by the door (when you see it, you'll understand). There was inspirational home decor, some cool stuff like concrete diamonds, some baby and kid's clothing (including these adorable baby headbands), lots of unique jewelry, cool razors, little succulents.. It's a bit like shopping at a local market but with everything in one pretty place. There is even a little coffee corner at the back. Prices seemed pretty reasonable. I would definitely recommend popping if you're looking for some unique gifts.

I was greeted by Wonder Woman (it was Halloween) and she was very friendly and helpful. She let me browse the store without pressure (which I really appreciate because some stores can put a lot of pressure on you to purchase). Other than Christmas decorations, Jilly's a bit of everything! There is clothing in the back (it's very expensive though - so expensive I almost choked on my gum). They also have numerous home decor items, candles, bath and soap products, they have a lot of stuff. The sale section towards the back of the store drew me in immediately (it had purses). I really like their line of moon necklaces/bracelets where you pick the phase of the moon on a special date (birth, death, wedding, etc.) and can wear it as jewellery. But at the Prettiest Present they really have a great variety of really useful gifts! From presents for those pooch peeps, to culinary and kitchen gadgets - as well as neat necessities. Then there are the baby gifts, the seasonal decor for your own abode, a wall of tempting teas and some really unique jewelry. And then the pies de resistance... they have the most fabulous collection of gift bags, gift boxes and paper so that when you find that perfect present you can also wrap it up without having to go to another store! Build your own terrarium or learn calligraphy. If you have a group big enough you can choose a date and they will arrange a workshop just for you. I'm so into everything this place is doing.
