That's AFTER the monthly service we pay for. These vultures were trying to sell us in excess of $40k worth of repairs to a house that didn't need it! The house was built in 92 - it's in great shape. I knocked down the tile in the bathroom to see the "black mold and burst pipe" they were trying to sell us on. OOpsy! Just some water seeping up into the drywall from a failed seal at the tub and the black mold? Just some rotten wood. I checked, the "Static Pressure" they tried to sell us on twice now is actually within spec. They kinda lied about that one. The burst pipe and the hole in the roof? Pure BS. A drier vent is missing it's cap and the paint is peeling off of the second bathroom ceiling because someone did a crummy paint job. They weren't even near each other! You say your people aren't commissioned - I call Bull! BTW - we never got an itemized receipt for the $1500 HVAC job. I wonder why? I wonder how you young men sleep at night. I really do. I had only ever previously used Gundlach's for annual servicing. I knew they were more expensive…read morethan their competitors for this, but I was willing to pay the small amount extra because it wasn't that much, they had great customer service, and they were very fast. My experience with them changed completely when I needed actual work done. Long story short, my house needed a complete replacement of all the duct work and the estimate that Gundlach's gave me was was more than double what some other companies in town told me they would charge for the same job. MORE THAN DOUBLE! FOR THE SAME JOB! If you want to pay in excess of $10,000 more than multiple other companies in town are charging then you should definitely use Gundlach's. Special shoutout to their service technician Brent who, in the enclosed screenshot, is trying to guilt me into going with them by referencing my disabled wife's health and also admits, in writing, that if money is your main concern then Gundlach's isn't the company for you. That's not my words - that's directly from a Gundlach's employee. I've worked in customer service for almost 20 years and find these tactics to be... questionable at best. If you need to resort to guilt to close a sale then you've already lost. Also, that crosses a line and is highly inappropriate. You don't know our situation. Don't talk about something you know nothing about. I have no idea what he was trying to accomplish by confirming that if money is my main concern that his company won't work for me. Yeah, that was obvious, but thanks for the confirmation. I saved $13,500.00 by shopping around and getting competing bids from other companies in town. I suggest that you do the same.

If I shut the system off for a while and turned it back on, it would sometimes work again--but the problem was inconsistent and difficult to reproduce. What really impressed me was South Valley AC & Heating's commitment to making it right. They came back out three additional times as a courtesy to diagnose the problem. The first two visits were challenging because the compressor was working normally when they arrived, so there wasn't an obvious issue to find. On the third visit, they happened to arrive while the compressor was acting up, which allowed them to identify and fix the problem. I really appreciated that they stood behind their work and didn't give up just because the issue was intermittent. They were professional, responsive, and genuinely wanted to make sure my AC was working properly before considering the job finished. It's easy to provide good service when the problem is obvious. It's much harder to stick with a customer through an intermittent issue, and that's exactly what South Valley AC & Heating did. Five stars for Ruben at Arctic Breeze!…read more Late Friday afternoon, around 4:00, I discovered that our air conditioner had stopped working--and we had company coming over that weekend. We were pretty concerned, but Ruben responded right away and said he could be there within 30 minutes. When he arrived, he was calm, professional, and reassuring. He quickly evaluated the system and determined that the fan motor needed to be replaced. I asked whether he would have to leave to get the part, but he already had the correct motor on his truck. He replaced it immediately, and the entire process--from my initial call to having the air conditioner running again--was probably no more than an hour and a half to two hours. The price was very reasonable, and Ruben was friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. It was an excellent experience from start to finish. I would not hesitate to call Arctic Breeze again for any heating or air-conditioning needs. Highly recommended!

I decided to do my own…read moremaintenance work, I replaced a failing dual run capacitor and also decided to do the fan motor while I was doing the maintenance since it was 15 years old. After cleaning all the coils out and putting it back together, everything seemed to run well but I wanted to ensure what I did was correct so I called these guys and they immediately showed up. From the very start they were super professional ask questions and was very attentive in listening and as the technician walked in, he said pretty sure your AC is just fine from what I can feel but we will double check. Which he did. They were very upstanding and outstanding. This is a reliable, trustworthy, very professional company and would recommend them over and over for all your needs. The Customer Service alone here was mind blowing and everything I remember companies use to be back in the good ole days. He quoted us the same exact unit, same warranty...apples to apples quote for thousands less than other company. He also could install the unit with in a week. Of course we went with him! Felipe was very professional. He explained everything to us and we were happy to have him do the install. On day off install, Felipe arrived on time and got to work. He and his employees did a great job! Within hours our house was cool again. Yah!! He did the install in 1 day. The other company was going to take 2 days and cost twice the price. Thank you Felipe!
