I have been a longtime Hobby Lobby customer and have used their framing department for years, but…read morethis experience was incredibly disappointing. My $350 custom framing order was significantly delayed, I was never contacted about the issue, and my daughter's birthday came and went while I repeatedly had to follow up myself. When I finally spoke with the store manager, Joshua, he was aggressive, condescending, dismissive, and made me feel as though the situation was somehow my fault--in front of other customers. He would rather remove my artwork from the completed frame than offer anything beyond a 10% discount for the inconvenience. Mistakes happen, but customers should still be treated with respect. Unfortunately, after years of shopping here, this experience has made me uncomfortable returning to this location.

Hobby Lobby has to be one of the most overwhelming stores to ever exist. They have literally…read moreanything and everything you can possibly think of -- much more than your typical craft supply store. Most recently, I noticed they started carrying children's toys and baby clothing... just in time for Christmas. Like, what? I guess they really want to be a one stop shop for all your gifting needs. Don't get me wrong... I love it, but I have to go there with a very specific mission and a list of things I'm looking for. Otherwise, I'll just end up wandering aimlessly up and down every aisle for hours finding a million things I want but don't need. And then I'll spend another hour talking myself out of every purchase lol. The good news is if I need anything craft related, they have it. But I can never find anything on my own. I almost always have to ask for assistance to locate items I'm looking for. In my floral design days, I was here on the reg for projects and I really liked exploring their dried & preserved floral selection that has continued to expand. I've scooped up some unique florals here in the past. Their current selection of dyed bunny tails is so good. I decided to stop in this past weekend to shop their sale on all the holiday decor. Wow, it felt like half the store was dedicated to Christmas. I perused every aisle and just couldn't decide what to buy. There was a lot of stuff I liked, but the decision fatigue was real. I ended up purchasing some honeycomb paper ornaments and trees that were 50% off. They're very classy and chic and I love how they can collapse down for easy storage. But that's all I got and somehow I always come home covered in glitter.

They always have what you're looking for, and the tool/product needed to complete the job.read more

I had a very concerning experience at the Casselberry location of Floor & Decor…read more(chatgpt://generic-entity?number=0) that I feel people should be aware of. A few years ago, I was with my friend Jayesh Patel purchasing tile. Some of the tile boxes were damaged and flimsy, so we carefully placed them into a sturdier box. At checkout, we clearly explained this to the cashier so she could charge us correctly. Unfortunately, she received a phone call during checkout, became distracted, and rang up the wrong items at a lower price. This was entirely her mistake--not ours. Weeks later, my friend received a call from law enforcement saying the store wanted to press theft charges against him. Instead of reviewing their own error, they escalated the situation to the police. To resolve the issue, he went back and paid the difference--despite it being caused by their employee. I recently came across a review from Mr. Boyd that reminded me of the tragic situation my friend faced, and it prompted me to share this experience. This situation could have been handled with basic professionalism and internal review. Instead, it became an unnecessary and stressful legal scare for a customer who acted in good faith. If this reflects a broader pattern, it raises serious concerns about how situations like this are handled and whether customers are being treated fairly. Very disappointing experience. I've been to other Floor & Decor locations that operate professionally, but this one handled the situation poorly. Be cautious and double-check everything at checkout.

There is also a good chance that you'll find something that you weren't looking for as well. They are generally well stocked in a variety of categories - whether you are looking for books, home decor, yard items or clothing they probably have something that you can use or want to buy. This is definitely a place where you could end up with a few impulse purchases if you're not diligent. Even with the appearance of chaos most things are always well-categorized so it is easy to determine what aisle or section of the store that you might find an item. The only interaction that I tend to have with employees would be at check-out. I don't think that I've ever seen anyone that works there walking around or stocking. I've never had a bad experience shopping here. Finally, most of the time the prices are reasonable, and you get what you pay for. I have noticed that sometimes bank and credit cards will have a cashback or discount option when shopping at Ollie's. And if you're tired of the same styles at CF, AHF, or RTG, then stop into this shop in Altamonte Springs. It sits between Dan's Fan City (how cool) and a Piano Store in a shopping plaza (surprise) Over the years, we've purchased some interesting pieces like a one of a kind square dining room table for our square dining room, a centerpiece coffee table, and a huge book cabinet. There's always something that catches our eyes when we are there and we have to think about quickly. They sell right off the floor so there's usually something different each time we visit. The staff is always helpful and in the past has shown us things we might like based on past purchases. There may have been a recent staff change as we didn't recognize the sales personnel that was there on the most recent visit. I wish we had a bigger house with more rooms so we can load it up with some more stuff from here. It's good quality stuff which comes with a higher price tag, but will most likely last for years beyond some of the particle board crap at the other stores (we own that too and is already falling apart).

(fact) We placed and paid in full a substantial sum for furniture and accessories in October of 2023 and were promised delivery of all in December, 6-8 weeks later. As of this writing (September 2024) we have only received a small portion of the order and have for months been given every imaginable excuse one could conjure up, flat out lied too as to the status and whereabouts of our order. Right at Home is now refusing to refund the balance of our payment for items not delivered, forcing us to go to Seminole County Court to seek collection in Civil Court. Our suggestion to all customers considering doing business with this company, think twice and research similar complaints. IMO, once a liar/cheater always a liar/cheat with no regard for others.
