Great values on mugs and storage containers! Got myself a HK storage jar and a Cat mug for my employee. They do have alot of the skinny girl and other sugar free syrups on clearance right now. I have only been to one other Home Goods store. I like Home Goods better than other home goods stores. It seems they have a higher quality of items. I used a cart and didn't have the trouble others had getting through the aisles. The aisles are organized and clean. We found a beautiful dish handcrafted in Tuscany. I also found Breitsamer Honig (honey) imported from Germany. The family has been making honey for 3 generations, 85 years. It has great taste. We also picked up a throw for a chair. It is beautiful and so soft. Prices are great. Service was good. There is a winding chute to go through to get to the cashiers with last chance food items and small knickknack. The line could back up but they had a number of cashiers getting people through quickly. I would definitely return and recommend Home Goods. read more

This location is always a zoo. Doesn't matter what time of the day you come in. Some good furniture pieces but gets snagged up pretty quickly. If you like it buy it pronto or it'll be gone. The store is not only crowded with customers. The shelves are so tight together there's zero room for 2 carts to move around next to each other in the same aisle. read more

Store is too congested with isles blocked with carts of merchandise and shelves over stacked with things falling. There are abandoned carts throughout the store because people get fed up and just leave because the isles are to narrow or isles blocked with furniture and not passable. It doesn't matter what day of the week it is, its just too congested. The whole store seems like a big fire hazard because nsles are not accessible. I recommend the HomeGoods store in Venice. It's beautifully organized and very accessible without clutter in the isles or floor. The Cooper Creek store needs to take note of the Venice store. read more

Tchotchke at its best here! Well, okay, it's more than that. There's plenty of other items that are staples to any home. Linens, furniture, mirrors, picture frames just to name a few. There are Giclee prints of artwork here as well. If you're not familiar with that term, Giclee prints are fine art prints made from inkjet printers, often printed to canvas and embellished afterwards with an overlayment of paint to give it an "original" look for a fraction of the cost. Some interesting still life and landscapes. I personally am into a more minimalist lifestyle, so this type of store and collection of goods rarely appeals to me. Also, being an artist I tend to create my own decorations and have little interest in filling my home with dust collectors. If you're into this kind of thing, this store is definitely for you. read more

Popped in here after arriving in the area. They are a good size location and have tons of options. It was a clean store and week organized throughout. We didn't end up getting anything on this run so I can't speak for the cashiers or check out process, but staff in the store itself was friendly and checked if we needed help. The parking lot is huge so you shouldn't have to much trouble getting a spot. We went later on a Friday night and parked close. Overall: A Clean and well organized. This is a great place to get your home started or freshen up the look at a great price. I have decorated my house almost solely with HomeGoods products and it looks great. They have a little bit of something for everyone and everything. It's also pretty fun to walk around the store as there are things everywhere from top to bottom. If you like things organized; this place may give you anxiety as it is somewhat organized chaos. read more

Love the variety this location offers in merchandise but every time I visit this store it's SO cluttered you can barely shop the product. Almost every aisle is so full! I didn't want to touch anything in the glass decor section or pots and pan aisles out of fear that something may fall and create a domino effect. Same with the dog bedding, wicker basket area and furniture they are just everywhere. I visited on a Friday afternoon and there were associates putting more product out taking up the aisles with the freight carts. Between that and all the other people it makes for a poor shopping experience. For the area this store serves they can do MUCH better with merchandising. I left feeling stressed. read more

The good: The store had a lot of variety. Walking through took a little bit of time so I could see everything they had to offer. The bad: The prices seemed a little all over the place. Some items seemed cheaply made but were on the more expensive side while some quality items were much lower. The ugly: The store was a mess. There was merchandise everywhere. There didn't seem to be much put in its particular place. They were kinda busy but not for the lack of order on the shelves. Kind of a mixed bag here. I think I will go back but I would be much more inclined to go to a similar store first. Finding someone to ask for help would not have been possible... seems like the manager was off duty and the employees were lazy? Overall, I simply wasn't impressed enough to spend that much money on anything there. read more

This place has great pieces. The only problem is the mass of people in the store. The store is never cleaned and very disorganized. Its always packed so you are always rushed to get your cart of someone's way and it's hard to look in the isles because there are so many people there waiting to grab everything practically out of your hands. You won't get the peace and quite you'll need to really look at the items before shoving it into your cart before someone else wants to take it. There are always, always huge lines and waits to check out. If you do end up scoring a bargain be thankful! read more

My assistant returned 3 lamps for our company. Credit was supposed to go back on to the business credit card as we had the receipt, the credit card and products with labels. This is how you operated all returns every time we have ever returned an item. When she went to return they said for the last 30 days they have only been giving instore credit! That is false advertising and NOT ACCEPTABLE. I would never have done any business with Home Goods at all if that was the policy! I mean your products are not good anyway. I need the merchandise credit of $224.67 put back onto my business credit card. The merchandise credit has my assistant's name on it and not the business which is another issue. I will be posting negative reviews about Homegoods everywhere should this not be corrected urgently. read more

I have slowly become a HomeGoods addict since buying our new home in Sarasota. Every day is different here & if you come frequently you can get some good deals. You do need to search through the shelves & look around the entire store to find things & I highly recommend if you see something you like to buy it that day. It is also better going when you don't have a very specific list. So far we've bought a tv stand, small bookcase, a bunch of baskets, some small fake plants, vases, ceramic bowls, & picture frames. What I like most about this place is how helpful & friendly the staff is. For example, when we saw a tv stand that was already sold, a staff member was calling the other store to see if another one was available at their site. This is not common at a place like this. I know I will be back here again very soon! read more

My friend and I were happily shopping here, when I called her over to look at something. She left our cart containing 3 pieces of selected merchandise where she'd been standing. We looked at the item, turned around, and our cart had disappeared! We asked an associate who could not help us find it. I asked her if they had someone collecting what appeared to be abandoned carts. She said "Not really". My Friend and I spent the next fifteen minutes trying to hunt down our items. No such luck. Then I happened upon a young employee (male, tall, heavyset, dark hair), who was pushing 2 empty carts. I asked if he collected empty carts. He said yes, one was empty, but the other 'only' had one item in it, and he showed me a small spice rack that had been in the cart. So the other associate lied, and this young man thinks one item in a cart means it's 'abandoned'. I don't like being lied to when there absolutely IS someone pulling carts off the floor, and I believe the enterprising young man most definitely pulled and emptied my cart. I felt insulted by this, and I don't think it's smart at all to have someone trained to collect carts with a few items in it. What is the qualifier for empty? I spent a LOT of time shopping there, and this not-smartness has disappointed me greatly. It's a browsers' store. Let people browse! read more

I purchased a piece of furniture and placed it on a paid hold. The manager Michelle was nice enough to extend the hold period, but I ended up picking it up same day. I went to pick it up, and they couldn't find their copy of the paperwork at first. I had to describe the manager on duty and the cashier who rang me up so they could try and find the paper. When the employee at the time of pickup went to confirm the ticket numbers on the furniture and the tag I had, they did not match. It ended up being a huge hassle, having to call the morning manager at 9pm and her not recalling the furniture which she signed off on. I tried explaining that the piece had two tags, all three employees involved with my pick up denied that they double ticket their inventory. Eventually, with a photo I had on my phone I was able to prove the item had two tickets this morning, they ended up re-ticketing the item. Needless to say I was not about to leave that store without my furniture and was not going to take no for an answer. To top it all off, as they were walking it out, the Piece of furniture I purchased fell off the trolley. Overall experience I was not satisfied and I've never experienced anything like this with home goods. I am rather disappointed with their customer service. Definitely not returning to that particular HomeGoods. I'd rather drive further to the one on Bee Ridge. read more

I normally love this store, but had a bad day experience today. I purchased two items, a Q-line, and a table lamp. When I arrived home the Q-line was not in my bag. I called the store. Susanne took the info and said they would check the video etc. to make sure I did not leave the store with the item (pretty insulting). She called back and verified that they did not see the item, but the only way I could get a refund was to come back to the store. I live 75 miles away and have Home Goods right here in town. I was on a short trip with friends and am not going back. She said I had to go back within a year to get a refund and no other store could help me. I don't intend on being in Sarasota again in the near future. I am a good and frequent customer and am very upset about first, checking the video to see if I were lying, and then a refund, but I have to travel 75 miles to get it, and no other options. If this is the way Home Goods treats loyal customers, then I am done. read more

I just went to Home Goods (for at least the 5th time this year!). They are one of the BEST BETS for all-around awesome & contemporary decor. Also a lot of very nice looking fake plants and flowers. Very good prices. In reading s few other reviews, I'm kinda stunned that people complain if it's packed - well duh, that's because they have so many great items at overall less expensive prices. I also get gift cards here for birthdays! Pleasant and helpful staff. They always seem to have staff throughout the store to assist if you're looking for something in particular.
