I visited in January and we got to speak with the owner about the hurricane damage and it was impressive to hear how they spent countless hours restoring the shop. I own a few rings from here that I wear all the time and the cutest AMI shirt that is unlike your typical t-shirt souvenir that you would find at a chain touristy shop. I will tell them never to go here again. I bought a pair of shorts that I wanted to return. Today I went to the store and immediately showed my receipt and shorts to the saleslady, Yasmine. Yasmine told me that they would not allow me to return the shorts, and that their return policy was on their receipt and on a card on the counter, which is true. Yasmine pointed out to me the policy on the receipt, which also says exchanges only within 3 days, I asked her if she would still allow me to exchange the shorts, and she said "yes." I spent time (including two trips to the changing room) finding something I wanted to exchange the shorts for. Then I went to the counter and Yasmine said she could not allow the exchange because the purchase was more than 3 days ago. I told her she had specifically said she would exchange the shorts. She said she couldn't allow it but when I asked to speak to her supervisor, she confirmed that her supervisor could authorize the exchange if she chose to do so. Jasmine called her supervisor, Betty, on the phone and spoke to her. I then spoke to Betty. After hearing what happened, Betty refused to allow the exchange. Given that Yasmine had said she would allow the exchange, I believe this is an example of "bait and switch" in violation of Florida's consumer protection laws. I will be filing a complaint with the Florida office of consumer protection.

Delivery was delayed as Ashley said they received only one mattress and had to wait for the second. Once delivery was made it became immediately evident that one mattress was thicker than the other. I was tempted to refuse delivery, but was told by their delivery person that these mattresses, which were shipped rolled up in a box, take up to 24 hours to fully expand. Well, "full expansion" never occurred and one mattress remains thicker than the other. Ashley did nothing until we filed a dispute with the finance company. Ultimately, they have sent a technician to the house twice, and have confirmed, on both inspections, that the mattresses are different heights. Ashley insists that they meet specification and will not correct. This leaves one side of a king size bed higher than the other. Our recommendation is to not buy from Ashley as their quality is questionable, and their customer support is non-existent. Should you elect to proceed with a purchase, please inspect thoroughly on delivery and refuse immediately if there are any problems/defects; otherwise getting your purchase corrected will be very difficult, if at all.
