This HomeGoods is quite small and not much space to walk through in every aisle. They try to take advantage of the space by fitting a lot of stuff everywhere. There was too much to look at and so many goods of different brands and styles everywhere. It was hard to go through. Surprisingly, most of the lamps were plastic packaged and not dirty at all! They were brand new! Mostly you see a lot of dirty smudges on products at HomeGoods but in the lighting section the lamps were very clean and brand new. I found some nice goods like a 6 tier mini basket organizer shelf but it was too big for me to carry all the way home and I was about to go to an event before I got here. There was also just 1 large fake fig tree that was very appealing and a nice match to a couch. Not crowded in the midday and lots of parking around it because it is located in the College Point mall. Restrooms were working and it was next to the lighting section. Clean bathrooms. read more

I had a concerning incident when I visited HomeGoods the other day. As I retrieved a cart from the parking area, I placed my toddler inside and began pushing it toward the entrance. Unexpectedly, the cart locked while still in motion--right in the middle of the roadway--and I was left stuck trying to force the cart to move with my child near moving cars. I couldn't just leave it in the middle of the street as that would also be a hazard. There were no visible warning signs in the parking lot to alert shoppers to this locking system. When I mentioned it to customer service, their reply downplayed the situation as an inconvenience and failed to acknowledge the real safety risk, especially with small children involved. read more

I was in NY to help my friend decorate her new apartment in the city. We did find a few items at this HomeGoods. We left with a tiny side table and some potted faux plants. It all worked out and we ended up keeping them. I've been here before with her and I'm sure I'll be back. Reviewing this store and it's customer service experience + the purchasing experience as it pertains to inventory levels. Purchasing experience was a 2/5 given that it was difficult to haul all of the items. Staff tried to help but it's not often people purchase big pieces I guess. Following that, no one knows where any item is. Even with a Paid Item hold where typically if I walk back into a location for my paid for items they would be able to readily locate but for some reason this location couldn't. I ended up having to return a few items and even then I got a hard time. Weird read more

A brand new HomeGoods store in Queens, at the College Point Shopping Mall. It took over the Staples store, across from Target and it's behind Buffalo Wild Wings. This place is jam-packed with merchandise because the store is a bit small. Like most HomeGoods stores, they have a bit of everything that deals with the home, bathroom decor, dinnerware, housewares, furniture, lamps, rugs, toys, gourmet foods, etc. All at discount pricing. Cons: The aisles are narrow. And they mostly only have these huge giant sized shopping carts. It was hard to move the cart around the store without bumping into things. With people and things in the way, I couldn't get past some aisles pushing this giant cart so I just found some place to leave it while I walked around shopping. Parking. There is plenty of parking in the College Point shopping mall. read more

I love homegoods even though I don't have the space in my tiny 1bedroom for most of the décor I love in this store. I was able to pick up some small household things I didn't need but wanted, lol. It wasn't crowded when I went thank goodness, because the store is a bit small and you can easily bump into customers when its crowded. There's tons of seasonal/holiday stuff you can purchase to rearrange in your home. Prices are reasonable and you can definitely find something big or small for your home. Another pro is the huge parking lot and other stores in the shopping area to check out. read more

Omg! One of the best ones I've went to! They have everything!! I truly love all home goods and this one was no different. I found some dope treasures in here, some great Christmas gifts and something for myself as well. This one was pretty good for a Sunday afternoon. LOVEE this location. Everything is well organized. Once you walk in, nothing is out of place. Merchandise are placed where it should be. Pretty much all the employees are helpful and kind especially Donna. She helped my father and I out on a few occasions. I hope it stays this way because the location in Bayside has the worst attitude amongst their employees. This will be my go to Homegoods. Don't change guys! read more

Of all the HomeGoods stores I've been to in the past, this HomeGoods is fairly empty compared to the one in Atlas Park in Glendale and the one in Bay Terrace. There were plenty of empty shelves and many items that were damaged with no markdowns. I came here to look for storage bins, that section had very few. The rest of store looked depleted. I initially had the impression they were going out of business. The children's aisle was the saddest I've ever seen. All the HomeGoods store have a pretty solid kids section, massive amount of quality toys and books except for this store. Verdict - Meh.... Go to Atlas Park instead. I usually don't write anything for any retailer as I am a working retail upper management for 40 years. Today I had a really bad experience in a College Point HomeGoods I made my purchase . I meet a nice girl who was packing out in there who tried to help me to find a rum cake I went to purchase , i went to the register paid for my purchase as I came out of the store on my way some lady ran out and locked The shopping cart wheels causing it to stop abrupt hit my shin bone really bad which I have a black and blue and is bruised hit my knee and when I turn around she goes come back and we want to see the receipt of the stuff you purchased I said excuse me. I said come and check the receipt here is the receipt you wanna see what I purchase you come to me she stand there screaming at me everybody's walking in the parking lot looking at me like I steal stuff from HomeGoods I want someone to call me. She turned and told someone to continue to lock the cart. And again it hit my shin bone as I was trying To make it moves. I showed her my receipt that the cashier give me for my purchase of $108.00 I offer her to come to the cart and look at the items. Which she never did. I know how LP works this is not the way. I went here for shopping about few days ago and it was very unpleasant time for me and my 7 year old daughter. The line was so long to wait and the registerer had no manner for her customer. I don't remember her name but I heard her coworker called her Mina or something like that starts with letter M. We needed a bag to put all our stuffs but she didn't ask if we need one. Also she threw my daughter's books and other stuffs like she was throwing a toilet paper in the toilet. We couldn't believe what we were seeing infront of our eyes. Very inappropriate manner... I wouldn't be this upset if I was by myself, but since my girl was next to me, I was very very upset and sad in same time. I can't let anyone humiliating my girl like that. And I saw it wasn't just me who was very unhappy with her. The man who was before me seemed upset about her manner as well. We almost felt like is it some kind of racism or something. Why is she throwing my stuffs that I was about to pay for? This is not normal and I don't think I would ever want to go Homegoods anymore. read more
