Horrible customer service. Christmas just passed. My husband accidentally threw out his gift…read morereceipts from 2 separate gifts. We went in to ask if we could exchange them. We assumed they'd give us store credit without a receipt. Both items had their tags on. The store said they'd take the items back but take off 20% value for not having a receipt. They're getting their item back in perfect unused shape and want to take extra money from you for an accident? Hobby Lobby: Come for one frame, leave with fall exploding in your trunk. THAT should be their…read moredadgum slogan! Let me be clear: I'm not what you'd call a crafter. In my head, sure--I'm out here crocheting whimsical potholders and making my own scented candles like some kind of Pinterest sorceress. In reality? I want to wake up with the skillset of a seasoned maker without ever enduring the YouTube tutorial struggle. I don't want to learn to crochet--I just want to already know, you feel me? But none of that stops me from wandering the aisles of Hobby Lobby like I belong there. Because baby, I do. I may not be gluing rhinestones to wreaths, but when it comes to home decor? This is my Super Bowl. No matter the style, no matter the season--modern farmhouse, vintage cottagecore, "my house looks like an antique shop and I love it" chic--Hobby Lobby always delivers. Fall? They've got pumpkins in every size and personality. Christmas? Don't even get me started unless you want to hear me wax poetic about artificial garland and buffalo plaid. Need a random decorative sign that says "Gather" in cursive? Oh honey, they have seven. And I will consider them all. (Who am I kidding: I already own all seven!) Walking into Hobby Lobby is like entering a magical vortex where time doesn't exist and your cart fills itself. I always leave with twice as many items and zero regrets. And while I may not craft, I absolutely curate vibes--and Hobby Lobby is my go-to for all things "seasonal personality disorder but make it stylish." Five stars. Ten stars. A whole galaxy of stars. And a cart full of throw pillows.

My mom seems to shop here somewhat often but now that I know, I'll be honest: I don't love the overt Christian branding and that alone will never make this store my first choice. That said, I can't deny the variety they offer. No matter what craft you're into whether it be sewing, quilting, painting, home decor, seasonal projects, etc. Hobby Lobby seems to have just about everything imaginable under one roof even if it may be extremely challenging to find/the layout of the store wasn't great... While I'd prefer to shop elsewhere when possible, I can see myself returning if I'm in a pinch or need something specific. I can admit it's a convenient option. Three stars for selection and convenience with some hesitation on the overall vibes and prices.

What I love most is that there's truly something for everyone here, from unique vintage pieces to holiday décor and even cards for every occasion for $1 or less (which is honestly unheard of). It's rare to find a consignment shop that feels this special, welcoming, and well-loved. I will always come back to support this hometown gem. Highly recommend stopping in. They cost between $300-$500 each installed. Over the last several years, I've been a do it yourselfer and bought blinds from Lowe's. Those blinds are not even close to the same quality as what I got from Budget Blinds. It is amazing how much money you could spend on blinds. While it took a while to receive the blinds, the installation was done professionally, and efficiently. Even though, one blind was cut too wide, Kyle [rep] came back and promised to replace it at no charge with the correct size. [I will update my review as soon as the replacement blind is installed]. Please note, I was also referred to a store in North Buffalo/Kenmore. I called them on the phone. They weren't very nice, and I wrote them off. I happened to be driving past the store one day, and so I stopped in and spoke to someone and actually provided the measurements of my windows. I explained to the back office person who was covering for the two sales people who are at the show house, that I wanted to get another estimate. They never called me back! In the store, all the blinds that I was shown were very expensive. High-quality, But 2-4 times the price on average, of what I spent with Budget Blinds. Call Kyle. She was great.

The owner was absolutely welcoming and just charming. There was a fire in the fire place that invited you to sit and look around and keep jumping up to get something else you simply couldn't believe you found. Every nook and cranny had a treasure. Some were from estate sales, some were on consignment, some were from local artists. I can't imagine not being able to find just the most unique gift for someone or for that shelf in your home. I couldn't resist a vintage train case! The owner also told us that new items are constantly being added and so it's the kind of place that you would never see the same thing twice and I think always be welcomed anytime. I'm looking forward to going and hanging out with some holiday gift money again soon!!
