Won't stay anywhere else in this area! Could not have asked for better hospitality and beautiful comfortable rooms!

What a lovely home!! I was so excited when I walked in the door. The town is full of cute little shops and antiques! Bailey is so very kind and such a good cook! If your planning a trip to Paris this where you need to stay. So very relaxing just what we was looking for!

Peaceful Oaks Bed Breakfast and Barn - Perfect Peaceful Getaway

Disappointing Three…read moreyears ago we happened upon this B&B the location is just lovely and the previous owners dream. We enjoyed it so much we thought one day we would love to bring our family. Now during this pandemic we thought this would be perfect and booked all 3 suites thinking this would ensure a peaceful retreat. Unfortunately sad to say the new management has not maintained this gem. In addition to many unkept areas and uncleanliness my grandson along with two of my adult children were severely covered in bed bug bites. My conscience will not allow me not to give this warning especially after finding dead and live bugs along with evidence of possible previous treatments. We actually gave them to the manager and she didn't even want to go into the rooms. It was really hard to believe this issue was not known to them. I really hope they can turn this place around, so others don't have to experience this!

Not a chance especially when we brought it to the owner Lori's attention and all she could do was try to argue that the three bugs, two that were actually live which we provided for her anyhow, with hardly a reaction she claimed they were ticks even though our son has dozens of bites which since yesterday 7/16 was confirmed to be just that, bed bug bites. Two other adults are also covered in bites. I would run as far as possible. Lori didn't offer any sympathy or solution. It's a-shame, I've heard this property was a gem once upon a time.

Magnolia Manor and Chapel - Is there nothing better than cuddling up in a robe?

There are rare times when you schedule a stop on a trip, that you find the most incredible place to…read morestay. Magnolia Manor & Chapel, owned and operated by Lee and Lyne Sands, is one of those magnificent places. Lee and Lyne bought this old church and turned it into, not just overnight lodging, but a real event venue. The rooms where you stay are so charming and are each decorated individually and made inviting, warm and comfortable. Our room included absolutely everything we would need for a stay. We felt very spoiled. From the comfortable bed, cozy bathrooms and extra blankets, to the delicious cookie and the nighttime chocolates, it was a real winner. But, more wonderful things had yet to come. Our stay included breakfast. We weren't expecting anything big. The evening before Lee and Lyne asked us if we had any food allergies. Well my husband needs egg whites and I'm gluten intolerant. When we walked down the stairs into the dining room, it blew our minds. It was decorated so delightfully, and again so very invitingly. I loved the tablecloth and napkins at each place setting. We smelled something good cooking, but weren't sure what it would be. Oh my gosh, our drinks arrived along with a little appetizer plate of french toast sticks. When I found out they were gluten-free I was in seventh heaven. Next came the glass of enticing mixed fruit. We then enjoyed scrambled eggs (and yes, my husband had egg whites), bacon, and the most delicious hash brown casserole I've ever had. Now that, is A BREAKFAST. They serve lunch and offer brunch on Saturday & Sunday We also found out they have a building in the back with a beautiful patio to listen to different bands while you have drinks and light food. Right now I believe it operates on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. They also have the most splendidly redone chapel. Wonderful place to have a small wedding or celebration. All in all, we will definitely be back and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling through that area. It's not far off the highway between Memphis and Nashville.

The lodging is located in a former church, which has been desanctified. The rooms are big, and clean, and the decor fit the vibe. The lodging is located directly across the street from the coffee shop in town, which has live music on Friday and Saturday nights. If I ever get back to Humboldt, I will definitely stay here again.
