After the way my father was treated, I cannot recommend this company.
My father suffered a stroke, then 2 months afterward he had a fall and had to have hip surgery. Anticipating my father's return home from a care facility, our family was focused on lining everything up so my dad would continue getting the care he needs to fully recover. The Merry Maids owner in Vallejo; Jaime, informed my mom that he had another business called, Home Instead Senior Care, and she could hire a male nurse to help my dad with physical therapy. It seemed like a grand idea. Joseph was hired to come a couple times a week to help facilitate my dad's recovery. My sister went to see my parents and noticed the house keeping wasn't going as well as it could have. She mentioned this to Jamie. For whatever reason, Jaime felt challenged, and texted my mother, stating he was no longer offering Merry Maids services, or the Senior Care services starting immediately. As anyone can imagine, my mother is already overwhelmed with my dad's doctor's appointments, and picking up the slack for 2 people, now that my dad is recovering in a hospital bed in the living room. What bothers me the most is that Jaime didn't reach out to my mom and learn how he could improve the situation. Why on earth would Jaime choose to terminate care for an elderly person recovering after a stroke, and hip surgery, just because there was an issue with his other business?! Whatever happened to "the customer is always right"? The businesses Jaime owns have to do with helping people in their lives. House cleaning services and Senior Care exist to make people's lives easier, not harder or more difficult. Why didn't Jaime take a moment to speak with my 75 year old mother, in my parents time of need, and give them the customer service they deserve? First, he could have called my mom, not texted her. He could have remedied the situation fastidiously. He could have... a lot of things, but, he didn't, and now my 79 year old father is without Senior Care, and my mother is without house keeping services until we hire replacements. I feel that Jaime isn't in the correct business if he can't offer his clients good customer service, which requires meeting challenges head on to find a solution, rather than throwing the baby out with the bath water, and uselessly damaging business relationships. read more
