Staff are all very pleasant. My mother has enjoyed interacting with each of the caregivers and looks forward to seeing them.

They have helped me to adapt and become a better, more efficient worker in the home health field, and have helped me streamline my visits and documentation process. My skill set has vastly improved and I continue to learn each and every day. I genuinely love my job. LivinRite strives to create a culture of positivity and inclusivity. They welcome feedback and understand the importance of good communication. I've felt heard when I've needed it most and they have been accommodating by adjusting my schedule to allow time for family, appointments, self-care, etc. Another point of note is that I've never felt any pressure to take on anything that I wasn't comfortable with. They respect boundaries in that sense which is huge. Our team genuinely cares about our clients and I look forward to every opportunity to help patients that need it most and LivinRite makes that happen.

There have been several "miscommunications" that the scheduler tried to blame on my parents- one was when they sent out a nurse on a day my mother told them repeatedly over several calls that SHE HAD A DOCORS APPOINTMENT AND WPUPS NOT BE HERE. They send a nurse anyway and tries to call it a no show appointment. When I called to file a complaint, the scheduler said since it was a holiday , they could only come that day . WHAT THE HECK??? And she tried to shame my mother about not being here. Really they have caused so much stress for my poor parents it's ridiculous. They should be there to provide care not cause stress.

My father has Alzheimers and was in a memory care unit. The unit required us to hire 24 hour nursing as he was experiencing psychological issues and was going to be transferred to a facility- we spent over $30000 for his care, and because his transfer to the other facility was touch and go based on a number of reasons, we tried to warn them of an ending. We spoke with Charlene and asked how much notice she required and she told us 1 week. At that point we did tell her ok, he will be gone in a week, and he was. My father was discharged a day earlier on Thursday April 29,2021. When I received the billing I noticed we were billed through April 30, using the same caregiver- see the picture. What is odd is we were billed for the same caregiver who apparently sat with him for 24 hours as we were billed for her 8 hours thursday and then another 16 hour shift the following day. Since he was discharged on Thursday afternoon, I just figured they were billing us out for the 7 day notice, which is perfectly reasonable. I called to get copy of all the bills so I can reconcile , and I was suprised to hear from Rochelle in billing that we were being billed yet another week because we did not give notice. We immediately called Charlene who referred us back to Rochelle - Great the person we gave notice to, refers us back to billing. I know elderly care is a big business, and I certainly think people should earn their money. We had no problem with the bill, even billing out the 7th day per our notice- but to send us yet another bill 2 weeks after my father had been discharged seems to be a bit much- On May 10th we received a bill for 4072.50 billing us for 5/1-5/7. My father was discharged on 4/29/21. While we have no problem with the service, we most certainly do have problem with the billing. I write this to caution anyone who signs a contract to do the following- review bills carefully, attempt to avoid the ACH , which might not be possible, and most certainly send your notice in a certified letter so you have proof. This company will use any "gotcha" they can. And remember, companies who solicit reviews, are doing so for a reason. Everything I have posted is true and accurate, and I have the paperwork to back it up. Possible litigation requires you to have your ducks in a row. If anyone reading this has had the same problem with this company, please feel to contact me. Perhaps we can pool resources and stories.

A couple of years ago I gave away a mobility scooter I no longer needed and the place where I donated it threw away the brack mount that was attached to the scooter by accident. The bracket mount was necessary to use a new scooter in the vehicle lift. I didn't worry about it much at the time since I didn't need another scooter. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago when I learned my condition was such that I needed to start using a scooter again. I got a new scooter but didn't have a mounting brack for the docking device so I could transport it in my vehicle. I went to a different mobility company first in NOVA that looked at my lift and new scooter and quoted me 500usd to replace and install the new mount! When I questioned the high price, I was told the cost of acquiring the part was nearly 400usd. After several discussions, something didn't feel right about my quote. I felt resigned at the price and figured I would wait until I absolutely could not manage without the scooter. I later learned that the other company was ordering a bunch of unnecessary parts that were already installed on my vehicle and jacking up the price! Then I remembered that I bought a ramp from area access a long time ago when they were in Falls Chruch before they moved to Manassas. I decided to drive out there and see if they could get the part for me. Not only did they explain that the part I needed to be done was only 77usd plus labor to install, but it also turned out that after a bit of searching, they had a lightly used one on-site and could install it for me RIGHT THEN. Less than an hour later, they had installed the mounting bracket and adjusted my lift for my new scooter, for a quarter of the price I was quoted by another company in NoVA. Everyone I encountered was honest and looking to help me out, so I could go about my business with my scooter ASAP. I was so happy that I nearly started to cry. I will return to Area Access for any of my mobility needs in the future. The other place I went to in Alexandria is much closer to my home but the drive to Area Access was well worth the experience. I highly recommend this company!

The cost of the equipment was approximately $51,000, with a similar additional cost for construction and installation. Shortly after installation was completed, the elevator began to fail on a regular basis. As of April 14, 2026, we have required seven (7) separate service calls, none of which have resulted in a permanent resolution. While the elevator may function temporarily after technicians complete a visit, it typically begins malfunctioning again within one to two days. In many instances, Area Access Inc. has charged service fees for issues that appear to stem from a defective product rather than normal wear or user error. Despite multiple service visits, the company has: 1. Failed to identify and correct the root cause of the problem; and 2. Sent technicians who do not appear adequately trained to resolve the underlying issue. A recurring and concerning problem occurs when the elevator cab approaches the first floor. At that point, it drops abruptly approximately 2-3 inches above the landing, causing a noticeable shock. This impact seems to disrupt recent adjustments made by technicians and may be contributing to ongoing system instability. Additionally, scheduling service has been difficult. Communication with the corporate office has been frustrating, with calls frequently going unanswered and customer service representatives unable or unwilling to provide clear commitments toward a lasting solution. Over the past two years, we estimate that the elevator has functioned properly only about 50% of the time. My mom had rapidly advancing dementia, and my dad was her tireless caregiver. He was also a 100% disabled veteran. We initially began with their respite care services to give my dad a much-needed break a couple of times a week. As my mom's mental condition and my dad's physical health declined, Heart Matters seamlessly transitioned to providing more days, some nights, and eventually round-the-clock care. Mom and Dad loved them, and Cindy and her team loved them back. After my dad passed away in 2000, the Heart Matters team became my mom's sole caregivers for three and a half years until she also passed. My brothers and I lived far away and could not have asked for better care for our parents. The team at Heart Matters held my mom's hand as she died, while we were still on airplanes trying to get there. We owe them a debt of gratitude that is impossible to repay. Their dedication, professionalism, and genuine care for our parents' well-being were extraordinary. I wholeheartedly recommend Heart Matters Home Health Care to anyone in need of compassionate and comprehensive home health care services.
