My mother with dementia ended up going to an emergency room, and then immediately to a memory care facility. Regardless of the fact that we did not see this coming, extended family home care continued to bill for 2 weeks worth of services which was about 1,200+ only because they were not notified of cancelling services. We had two other home care agencies providing services and neither one of them had this unethical billing policy. On top of that, some of the caregivers did not seem to provide quality care. And also had inconsistent caregiving services, with some cancelling last minute or did not even had the right skill level to care for my mother.

There are certain things they cannot address, which need a specialist or ER, and like any other Urgent Care or ER. Their visits are long, as they get a hood picture of what is going on, do appropriate tests, and have you talk virtually to a Nurse Practitioner ir a Physician Assistant. They will ask you to follow-up with your doctor.

After a group interview of 1.25 hours and all my immunization/credentials present I was hired. The problem was no one could get there act together with internal communications to see a schedule put together. So what was high hope of contributing lead to diminished possibilities and a waste of my time. I left! I gave 2 stars only due to appreciating the value of there prior Denver location.

Agency also provided excellent educational programs on Hospice and Palliative Care . Sadly would not recommend them now. Communication is lacking . The foot nurses work hard to provide care so that is still a plus.

What matters is that nursing staff, CNAs and kitchen staff all saw my loved one as an individual who was suffering a lot of indignity and confusion. She was treated with utmost respect and good cheer which I think was as good as any other medicine prescribed by an MD. No one--and I mean non one--came into her room without a big smile and a willingness to greet her kindly and meet her needs. Yes, we had to wait sometimes, but this isn't a 4 star hotel. No one was standing about chatting while we waited. What mattered to me was that care was always given with great kindness and compassion and even good cheer. I spent much of my day there over three weeks and will truly miss everyone I met, including many residents.

Bad: The Doctor changes your prescriptions without telling you or anyone in your family. This caused me some health trouble. About three days a week Arvada care uses what are called Agency Nurses. A portion of these omit giving medications entirely, or omit some of the medications.

Pro: they have a monitoring system to detect falls and health. Cons: did not apply the discount for having Kaiser as they said they offer a 5% discount. They had a CNA claim hours that she was not there for, refused the photos and video as enough evidence and still billed the client. They had another CNA charge for driving and mileage, which was against the contract. After a dispute they did refund that charge but if I wasn't assisting and reviewing the bill for the client it would have gone unnoticed. They had a call out from a CNA and the company never notified me as the MPOA, which violated the agreement. Another CNA did a no call no show and client was left unattended for 2 hours. Pay was to include help showering and changing briefs, they didn't do it at all. MPOA had to assist elderly in both things because the company hired to never did. The CNA's were not updating each other or the MPOA in the system as co reacted to do. After just 2.5 weeks client gave notice of cancellation in writing due to complete lack of care by the company and multiple contract violations.
