Home Inspection Services

This is an unusual review because I DIDN'T hire Abe! Instead he looked at the listing of a very…read morerough property that I wanted to have inspected, and gave me valuable advice based on the listing's photos. He could have taken the money and made a lot of money from ancillary services, but he instead showed me how buying this top to bottom demo and renovation was not going to pencil out from an investment point of view. He was right, and he saved me both a lot of money and two years' worth of headaches. So thank you Abe for your time, expertise, and frank opinion, all without a fee. They say advice is cheap, but in this case it was invaluable!

As a first time homebuyer, I didn't know what to expect nor how to compare inspection services. But…read moreafter one phone call to Abe, I was pretty set and confident on Abe's Home Inspection Services. Over the phone, he was able to answer all of my queries and gave me a quick run-down of all the different services they provide and an accurate quote for an inspection on the house. He was also able to answer all of my "what-if" questions and ease my nerves by giving me a step-by-step on what to expect. Although my window for inspection was only 7 days, he was also able to squeeze me in for an inspection and got me my report within 3 days! I'm super grateful for that. On the day of the inspection, Abe and Nick let me join in on the process and even encouraged me to take my own notes. Every step of the way was a learning process for me and I gained a ton of new knowledge on structural info, safety, energy saving tips and more on the house. Abe gave me a packet and some goodie bags. The retractable tape measure with sticky notes and pen is really cool. He also put in some candy if you're feeling peckish, some hand sanitizer, flashlight and bandaids--all super useful stuff. Folder includes info packets, and even a final walk through checklist. He'd really thought of everything. Overall, I highly recommend Abe. His inspection gave me valuable insight on the house, and most importantly I gained a peace of mind. It's definitely worth the price!

Accurate Inspections

Accurate Inspections and Michael have a reputation of a very thorough inspector, which sometimes…read morecauses controversy, so I hope I can clarify the situation a little. Michael provides a super thorough inspection and pays attention even to the smallest details. He points out loose stones in the stairs, narrow parking spots that claim to fit more cars than it is realistically possible, stair handles placed uncomfortably, among other things. He also points out important things that are done not up to code and can cause serious issues down the line. It is a responsibility of a buyer to evaluate the findings and apply them, whether in negotiations with the seller, or just for your own reference later to understand what requires fixing and how urgent it is. And knowing that in advance, I think I received a superior service, because thanks to Michael, not only I received a concession from a buyer to fix an improperly installed, though working, garage door, but also avoided troubles with insurance company later by requesting asbestos removal and obtaining corresponding certificate. Michael's commission may be a bit higher than the market, but it's well worth it.

This inspector is by far the worst person any buyer or seller would want to use. He ruined the deal…read morefor our buyer as the things he reported were so far stretched that our buyer backed out. I have been told this is very typical of this man as he then gets a second inspection and gets to make more money. He actually said our furnace was leaking toxic poisonous gas and if that was the case we would have died years ago. Our furnace was also tested by a professional with no issues. He then said our garage was going to cave in at any moment and again it was checked and this too was a lie. The best one yet was he said our entire house smelt like mold and was most likely full of mold. Pretty amazing that I was a health inspector for over 30 years and know a little more about mold than this moron and on top of that my home was completely renovated within the last 5 years and we never ever had mold. If you don't perform a test how can you even state such a thing! I could go on and on with the nonsense that this man comes up with to make himself look like god. Our buyer backed out after trying to get us to lower our price substantially for issues we knew were not legit. In the end we ended up with a better price and buyer so it was a win for us and a loss for the first buyer who lost out on great house and probably overpaid for a second inspection. This man should have his license removed and will be reported to the better business bureau. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your money on this guy. No house is perfect but there are plenty of other inspectors who are not alarmists and liars like this guy! What a joke!

My husband and I recently used Tiger Inspection for an Enhanced Home Inspection on the property we…read moreare purchasing. The scheduling process with the front desk was effortless--they clearly explained all the services and provided quotes, making decision-making simple. We had the pleasure of working with George and Seth this week. George and Seth were an absolute delight--they exceeded our expectations in every way! We were especially impressed by their thoroughness, clear explanations of their findings, and the reassurance they provided during what was a particularly stressful time for us. We cannot recommend George, Seth, and the team at Tiger Inspection highly enough!

Up front the cost for the inspection was about $730 which we felt was a steal for the peace of mind we received. Our inspection included interior and exterior review, wood insects, water fixtures, heating fixtures, attic, basement, and radon. All reports except radon were delivered just hours after inspection and radon promptly at the 24h mark. We are in the process of purchasing a very old home, Alan arrived much ahead of schedule (on incredibly short notice by the way) and conducted a full exterior inspection before we arrived for our scheduled time, he was friendly, enthusiastic and at every step explained not only what he was looking for, but the current situation and offered suggestions on replacements and repairs we could make along the way. Alan made us aware that he specializes in homes as old as ours was and offered incredible insight on what we can expect, what was normal for the time, improvements, etc. and offered to answer questions past our inspection which was so very thoughtful. We had a million and one places we could pick for a home inspection but Tiger was the first one we picked back in 2019 and have no inclination to change. Their inspectors knows their stuff, everyone from the admin staff to management to field inspectors are wonderful caring people that do a great job because they love their job. We can't thank them and especially Alan for their assistance in our home search!
