This store has some of the Rudest staff around. A Select few are kind and helpful. Almost all the Managers at this location are rude, insulting and withhold merchandise in back room. Cannot understand why a busy store where the main goal is sales is so concerned with keeping tanks in back, hiding merchandise and being rude to paying customers. stay away! read more

My daughter and I went to Home Goods for rugs, and to do a browse through daddy/daughter time for fashion and designer reaction. She loved it. Her designer eyes lit up with the furniture, mirrors, nifty design pieces, and ideas galore. We spent $319 for a rug, and thankfully got it into the Kia Soul. I love the store. There is a slew of one-of-a-kinds. Matter of fact, what you see on the floor is all they have of the item you want. So it's a true one-of-a-kind store. The service was exceptional. One of the guys helped with the carpet (8x10) and I really appreciated it. If you want to make your bookshelf pop with interesting visuals, then stay a while. Nice knickknacks. I enjoyed the shopping, and I'm a guy! I never thought I would say I enjoyed shopping. Normally I hate shopping, and when I have to do it.... I plan it out, and get it done. Hmm.... You can literally spend your entire paycheck here. I really love the convenient location right off of 84. The plaza has ample parking and is in the same plaza as Michael's. I found that this location has a wonderful selection and that there are many discounted items you can find on clearance. I do not agree w/ some other posters about the aisles being too close together- there is ample room in each aisle. The first time here, a nice young associate was helping someone in the rug section take down a massive area rug. They have a great selection but I do think the kids section being a little bigger would be helpful for those shopping for kids. The pet department is almost larger than the kids section. Home Goods... you did me wrong. I found this really cute pattern "duvet cover". Little did I know that the pillow case had a rip in it. However this wasn't the biggest problem, the package with 2 yellow duvet cover stickers (the homegood stickers employees put on) didn't contain a duvet. Im furious, I came home with a huge smile on my face just to be let down. Happy new year to me. read more

Short review but definitely necessary: my fiancé and I needed to pick up a few things and knew tjmaxx wouldn't do the trick. We saw this place from the highway and thought "why not just stop here." This is the BEST home goods I have ever been in. So much furniture both for indoors and outdoors and such a variety of kitchenware and bedding!!! I live in Southbury and the tjmaxx in town is pretty upsetting, so to go to a home goods as beautiful as this one was a shocker. They have so much to offer. The store was overflowing with items to purchase and the store was quite large. I didn't want to leave because I felt that there was so much more I could find and buy. I did however leave with quite a few bags. I will definitely be making the 25 minute trek to come here to look for apartment goods any time I can! read more

My son got a paper cut in the store, he "had to have one of those measuring tapes" they have hanging on the wall, and he was playing with it- cut himself pretty good, I stopped to check and see if he was good because I just heard him say ow!! Loud-usually he doesn't really complain- but blood makes him freak- a coworker over heard and she politely goes "do you want me to get you a bandaid", he quickly said yeah, she stopped what she was doing and went and got him one and even came back with a sterilization wipe. I'm pretty sure her name was Alex, her hair was covering her name tag so I'm not exactly sure it was her, I'm sure she was over her work day at this point, its 630 on a Sunday night- and she was so kind to him, making sure he was ok, when she could have acted like she didn't hear a thing and just continued doing what she was doing. Thankful there are people who still go above and beyond, it really made a difference my son smiled instead of freaked and my heart was extra happy. Thank you read more

I purchased a rug at homegoods. The rug looked beautiful, and I got it for a good price. However, after a few weeks I realized it was STILL SHEDDING. It sheds fibers constantly to the point that I have to vacuum twice a day. I kind of expected some shedding, but this is completely ridiculous and definitely not normal. I kept the receipt and tag, so I figured they would at least stand behind their products if something is defective.... boy was I wrong. They wouldn't accept the return nor would they give me store credit. I've tried contacting them through email twice and they don't even have the courtesy to respond. I will never shop there again. They don't stand behind their products and they don't care to even reach out to their concerned customers. read more

We've been into the Southington Home Goods several times since it opened, and even if just going in with the intent to browse, I seem to buy something! The store has a wide selection of products for the home, ranging from kitchen gadgets to bedding to carpets to home decor. I bought an amazing lamp there, a number of kitchen gadgets, new throw pillows for our living room, several decor items, and outdoor cushions for our patio chairs. I do wish that the kids' section was slightly bigger and carried more twin size bedding. The selection changes constantly; if you see something you want, I'd suggest buying it then rather than hoping it'll still be available when you come back. I wanted an anti-fatigue mat for the kitchen and held off on my first trip, only to have that color and style be sold out for weeks afterwards. read more

Excited Home Goods was coming to Southington. I had only been to one before in Baldwin Place, NY. The layout was very tight in the aisles, hard to turn the basket or to pass side by side - couldn't really step back from the shelves to get a good look. Confusing as to where everything was located. Needs a logical layout with wider aisles. Disappointed. I won't be back. read more
