We just knew we needed something and quickly. Mobile Vacuum is close to where we live but to be honest, we'd never noticed them there before. We decided to stop in on our way to Home Depot. There was a gentleman ahead of us who said (I hope jokingly) that the vacuum he was buying was an early Christmas gift. It was hard looking at him knowing he only had a few days left to live. Walking out he appeared happy with his purchase and the customer service he received so I was hopeful. The lady who helped us was very friendly and answered all of our questions. They had the exact same kit I was looking at on the Home Depot website and it was on sale. Why go to Home Depot when I can support a local small business instead? Sounds like a win/win to me. As we were making our purchase, another person came into the store. They seem to be quite popular and have a good little business going here. We got it home, unpacked everything and it works like a charm! It even has some handy features that our old unit didn't have so that's a bonus. I'm glad I found this place and I would recommend them if you're in need of a vacuum supply store.

I took it to Mobile Vacuum but knew this would be expensive or completely dead. They said they would fix it if it was going to be $65 or under. If more then they would call me. Sounded reasonable. I figured it was going to be more. Mobile Vacuum called and said it wasn't worth fixing. I believed them because of how the vacuum stopped. Won't get into it. They gave me a ready good advice and good deal on a new Miele. Hopefully I get another 18 years out of this one. Got to support our local Durham businesses.

They have helped me with my clothes dryer, side by side refrigerator/freezer and my oven. Each time they have provided excellent service. Most recently I called them confident that the ice maker auger motor had broken on my fridge. They recommended bringing in the part to have it tested before ordering it ($160 part). I did take it in and they bench tested it for free, confirming that it, and the solenoid that controls the motor were working correctly. Puzzled, I investigated further (there are a lot of great DIY appliance sites out there with detailed videos) and found that my problem was a couple of broken plastic tabs on a $12 part. I couldn't be happier that I did not waste money on a repair service call, or a motor that did not need replacing. DIY has saved me a lot of money and I have OAP to thank for that.

We bought our Miele mid-size canister vacuum from this place probably ten years ago. The Miele is…read morestill kicking despite having been through renovations, etc. We've only had them replace the electrical cord when the cleaning lady pulled it too long. We've since downsized from house to condo. + I can reach the entire condo from one central plug just inside the master bedroom - Laundry 'room' is now reduced to closet and taking Miele in and out is now a pain. Originally I was interested in purchasing The Kone, but you can only buy it on eBay now and many poor reviews. So I researched online and came up with Stylish/Functional hand vac: Rapido by Electrolux. So pleased when I found out I could pop over to my favourite vacuum store to buy it and it made me feel confident b/c 1) Electrolux is a good brand 2) This store only carries quality products. I used the hand vac daily for several weeks, perfect for: a) the en-suite {swear I lose 20 hairs on the tile floor whenever I brush, and kitty litter box is housed in my vanity cabinet so perfect for picking up the stray walnut shells tracked from kitty paws} b) the guest bathroom {my hubby is hairy and likes dark towels, which also shed} c) the kitchen {lots of spills, plus I don't like cold tile floors so have 2 rugs in there!} d) around cat food bowls {why must they be such messy eaters?} e) the living room {to catch those crumbs from us eating in front of the tv, plus the slim cat ball that houses kibble & treats and rewards cat w/ food when he rolls it around} f) dust bunnies the size of gerbils that find there way under the sideboards and collect in corners. Imagine my surprise (and theirs) when I went back to Vacuum King to enquire about purchasing replacement filters for the hand vac. After all, I'm used to picking up the Miele bags from them...they laughed and said "we don't have the filters in stock yet, the product is too new ~ you are supposed to open up the hand vac, pull the filter out and vacuum the dust/particles/hair/fur with your Miele, and you're good to go for another few weeks...the filter is supposed to last 3 years!" :~) They are a great store to deal with AND this hand vac really rocks. Actually, it ROLLS because it has two small wheels at the front that allow it to glide noiselessly along tile and hardwood without scratching it. BUY THIS VAC at VACUUM KING!!
