This was not the case with Thomasino. The technician was prompt, friendly, and worked fast. My garage was working perfection no time!

Coming out to measure and look was quick and great customer service then when it came time to check the in stall the guy kept not responding to emails, Was able to call and get everything scheduled. Then install went smooth. It was going up and down so much smoother and quieter than the 20 year old door. Door was installed 4/25/25 them on 5/30/25 it started making a popping sound and seems it is not going up and down the tracks good, I knew it was the weekend but thought if I could leave a vm or send email they could address early Monday morning. VM was full. The website no longer exists as if they didn't renew the URL. No appointments were available Tuesday until I started addressing that nothing could be communicated over weekend then mysteriously one becomes available. Will update after they come back out. A new garage door having problems after a month is huge problem with how expensive they are now. They came back out claimed it was the paint heating up causing the popping. That is absolutely no true since it happens in below freezing temps to almost 100 degrees. My 20 year old garage door never popped like this. The popping has become louder as time has passed because it is not right and was never made right. Pretty sure they just said let me take advantage of a female . Would never use them again.

We have been made promises for fixes. Signatures Homes has done some repairs, but even the repairs have been of poor quality. Most horrible experience has been with the air conditioning. I first noticed the enclosures were not placed on the condensation pump. It went downhill from here. My home has 3 units and so far 2 of the units have failed. The last time was on a weekend. We were told if a unit failed after hours it would be considered an emergency. It failed on a Saturday and no one came out. We were, in all honestly, told they would pay for a hotel but only after I reminded them of their contractual agreement . But to leave our new home and go to a hotel and then wait again for another repair was an even further inconvenience. Not to mention this is not what we were promised. We are so tired of waiting for repairs and finding that this home was so poorly built. We have tried to be patient. But the air conditioning unit failing twice was the straw. We have not been able to enjoy our home. The carpet was loose in a corner. They attempted to repair it but could not remove the paint stain. No further mention of that! Those beautiful windows one sees on the sign are loaded with scratches. The craftmanship has been so poor. Our deck has so many imperfections in cutting. They decided which ones were worth them recutting! We are sure it like all the repairs so far will not be up to expectations of a new home. There has been no attention to detail in this home! The doors are poorly painted. The baseboards are improperly caulked. We feel that we are expected to accept some of the imperfections or be labelled pests. We want our windows replaced. Afterall, we did pay extra for them. Our dishwasher was so improperly installed that it sits unlevel. On that repair we have to wait. Why? Aren't they still ordering dishwashers for the new homes. But we are no longer of concern. The money is with the new home consumers. Our garage floor has cracks spreading everywhere! Signature Homes will not even bother to add enough pine straw in your beds to keep weeds out for a week. So get ready to do flower beds, wait on repairs, try to find all the imperfections in less than an hour on a walk thru. It is going to be a long time before you enjoy this one! This is my fourth newly built home. It has been the worst! We know others who have had problems. They just wanted to get the repairs and move on. So do we! We have not mention all the issues here by any means. Good Luck if you buy a home using these workers associated with Signature Homes!!!!! We are having buyer's remorse!!!!! I would watch any company associated with the building of these homes!!!!!!

I noticed this replay to others when the review was similar to mine, got the same email. Pella is a good product, they simply need to clean up their customer service act. At this time, I want no further communication to the Pella company. August 4, 2025 post: I rarely write a review as awful as this one. I am known for being fair, balanced, and accurate. I pride myself on being just that. Pella Windows of Birmingham was just awful to work with from pre/during/post experience. Allow me to explain. The property was a Loft in a loft building downtown. When ordering the product, each member of the community had to outline, white or black interior color. I clearly listed black. When the windows were being installed, they were installing white. I stopped the installation and shared my concern. I was told I ordered white. So, I sent the work order that I saved because I keep all documentation especially for contractors. They still said even with the documents that I was wrong. The salesmen were completely out of line and a horrible communicator. I come from a position of strength here, prior to retirement, I wrote curriculum and trained truly professionally sales consultants for fortune 100 and 500 companies. Instead of replacing the windows with black ones, they said they would paint them and give me a refund of 10%. It took four months to have them painted which was horrible, and then I was told no refund because I did not keep the white windows. Strike 2. Strike 3 was that the windows were missing a piece that was cosmetic. I was told it was ordered and would be installed when it came in. That was 6 years ago, and even after following up many times, nothing happens. Then the window seal came out, the locking mechanism on all windows did not work. I called and was asked for a video and the serial number for each window. For the life of me, I could not find that serial number. So, they Charged me $200.00 to have a member of their service staff come to my loft. They agreed the windows needed the seal replaced and the locks were defective. They said they would be put on order and when they came in, I would be notified. That was three years ago. I called several times and was told the parts were not in yet. One year ago, I sold the unit. So why am I writing this review NOW. Because I get emails from Pella sometimes four times a month asking me to buy from them. I have had enough. As a matter of fact, my daughters home needed all the windows replaced. Pella was never, nor would they ever be considered. I hope I helped some of you. To Pella of Birmingham, please get better for those that purchased from you in the future.

Honestly, our experience with Pella was stellar! I was surprised to see as many negative reviews…read moreout there but then I think lots of things can go wrong with windows and doors no matter who sells and installs them. John Svenson sold us the windows and was lovely. I knew almost the minute he walked in the door i wanted to work with him. We had gotten pitches from Anderson and Champion and one other and we were tired of the whole process--the prices were either ridiculously high or low--the low priced ones were vinyl and clearly lower quality and the quality of the salespeople was poor, although they were all nice. But John came in and he was at the right price and was easy to deal with. We have a 50 year old house and needed 18 windows...we knew at that point we wanted fiberglass and felt Pella offered great quality at a reasonable price so we were an easy sale at that point. The installation included covering all the wood part of the windows outside masterfully, too. I think the installer's name was Aron. There were 5 installers. They worked hard and politely and it only took 2 1/2 days. We were impressed with all of it and the windows are lovely, When i read some of the reviews--maybe I will have problems down the line but that is possible with any window...I am hoping for the best...right now we are very happy with them. Finally, I note that I wish that John had texted or called us at some point in the middle or end of the job or acknowledged us in any way--to ask us about whether we were happy with the work. (Gosh or even showed up at the job!) I'm a marketing professional and study relationship marketing and recommendations--the sales person should go out of their way after the sale to make sure the customer is happy with everything but instead we got no contact. I really feel the company is missing an opportunity for the after-sell by not encouraging the sales rep to recontact the customer after the job. We got a stupid impersonal card from the company, not even from our sales rep. Really dumb.
