This HD location is poorly managed and completely disorganized. Twice, I had to drive there from the cottage just to find out that the item that was shown on their website as available in stock was in fact not available. They just don't bother updating their inventory. Both times I got some lame excuses from the staff with explanations that were too wierd to be true. Also, the staff is much less friendly than in nearby Rona and Canadian tire. read more

I bought 300.00 worth of Christmas outside decerations and when I got home to Shallow Lake to find out some were broken , some pieces missing . Before I went back to the home depot I checked on line what stores had anything left to sell and it was looking like the stores had recieved everything the were going to get for Christmas for the year . So I will admit I was very upset when I reached the store . I asked for the manger to see if he would sell me the only lanteren left anywhere in Ontario that mached the one I had bought and his answer was it was a desplay and I could not buy it . So here I am with 1 lantern and the seconmd one looking at me from the top shelf that I could not buy . This is the most foolish thing I ever heard . It is for sale but I can not buy it . So there were none left in any store in Ontario . He advised me I could buy it AFTER Christmas but not know . I was s upset I was ready to get evertthing I bought refunded and leabve the store never to retiurn . Then out of the blue the sweetest girl her name was Sarah Martin she calmed me down and helped find new things to buy and to top it off Sarah offered to put everything I bought together to make sure there were no broken parts and nothing broken . So when everything was put to gether a great guy named Dan Ross helped cover everything in plastic so my seats in my car would stay clesn . The both brought everything to my car put it all inside . I am a 71 year old woman and the last time I had such great service was about 40 years ago . Now aday no one helps anymore and no one cares about the buyer one way or the other , but these 2 ANGLES just saved the store almost 400.00 that I spent and saved the Home Depot a loyal buyer . If it was not for Sarah and Dan I would have got my money refunded and NEVER stepped into that store again . When there is only one item left in all the stores in Ontario I see no reason why I could not have bought the last one . I understand that they need desplay modles but when you are not getting anymore what in Gods name do they need a desplay modle for when all they are doing is showing people what they can not have . So because of these 2 caring employees they saved the day for me and the store and should be reconized by the company as OUT STANDING EMPLOYEES OF THE YEAR !!! It would be a much better world if more people were like Sarah Martin and Dan Ross Thank you you made my Christmas !!! read more

i had the best experience at the midland home depot yesterday. i went in to purchase a tool box for my husband , the website said they had 2 in stock. when i arrived i asked an employee for help, he took me to the location, we couldn't find the correct one, he than asked another employee ( shelly) for assistance. she searched her hand held device , found the product which directed us to isle 11 . she radioed two staff in that area and they were busy so she grabbed a moving stair case , took me there and climbed up and there it was !!! i was in and out in less than 10 minutes. impressed , thank you shelly!!!! read more

this evening my boyfriend & I went into grab some drywall sheets. once arriving we both parted ways; he to get drywall sheets & myself for paint supplies. NOT ONE SINGLE person asked my boyfriend if he'd like help with anything, even if he needed help finding something.. but yet me in the paint section I get helped by not one, but TWO elderly gentleman. which I found out, they don't even work in the paint department. first strike. now as we checkout, we pay for everything. we start to walk out as this cashier just stares at us.. the drywall was laying in a way that we couldn't make it out of the exit doors. now remember this cashier is still just STARING at us, she says not a single word. boyfriend asks if there another door we could use that was bigger. she said no. simple as that. as she stared at us, she did not once ask if we needed help, or if she could get someone to help us. strike two. now finally.. I tell her that I'm not pleased with the fact that she just stood there & just watched us, not even bothering to ask if we wanted some help. then she goes "well, do you need help?" OBVIOUSLY WE DO. she takes our cart strolls it over to another door. she is within seeing distance. at this point I am just over it. another cashier could see myself & my boyfriend were clearly frustrated as hell. she asked what was going on & we explained everything. as I finish explaining she looks over to the cart with our stuff & the other cashier. that other cashier literally looked at us & dropped the drywall on its face side. at this point I am convinced she is being the way she was because I spoke up & mentioned how we just couldn't believe her customer service. strike three. YOU'RE OUT. so if you go to home depot & the cashiers name is ANISSA, abort mission. find another employee who will actually ask you if you want help (even if you say no). read more

I'm constantly there and can find no one to help. When I was there in January and 32 weeks pregnant I could get one employee to assist me, I ended up pulling a piece of 4x8 plywood off a top shelf unassisted and further loaded it alone into my van. Their customer service is very lacking unfortunately. read more
