Our oldest owns a home but the youngest is still Single and can't afford to buy anything. We did what any loving parent would do looked at all our options from Helping the youngest buy something or gift in equity to buy our home. In the end we decided to refi add our son to The loan cash out rent back from Him for a year and then move to Hawaii. We will give our oldest his fair share to use to remodel his home or rent his home out and buy another house. Our youngest gets a deal on the house with no down we get the left overs. We don't need much we can't take it to our grave everybody is happy. None of this would have been possible without David's expert and honest advice. Leaving two stars for PRMG so that others take this review seriously and stay away from this company. My spouse and I have refinanced in the past and are familiar with the process. However, we are exceptionally regretful for giving our business to PRMG. This entire refinancing process has been one of the most painful experiences of homeownership. Our loan officer Ben Mireles, never clearly laid out for timelines or underwriting expectations/scrutiny. Ben promised 30, then 45, then 60 day close windows but none were ever met. We are currently at 90 days. We were actually unable to reach Ben for over two weeks. I had to reach out to his regional manager just to get in contact with him. Customer service and communication with Ben could not have been worse. This company appears to be incapable of processing applications in a reasonable timeframe for anything other than bog standard first time home purchases. It truly felt like we were dealing with a JV team throughout the process. Expectations were never established for their strict underwriting thresholds, leading to lots of confusion and consistently delayed closing dates. Further, basic requests for our account statements and employment verification weren't made until the 45 day mark, slowing the process even more. We were constantly promised "this will be the last condition prior to final approval", but then came another handful of requests for statements and documents without any communication other than "underwriting needs these documents". The lack of transparency from all parties at PRMG left us feeling frustrated and in the dark. We wondered if we would ever be given approval or if we were being strung along. While we are on the brink of finally closing, I'm more thankful that this process is almost over. I do not recommend PRMG and will not do business with them in the future.
