This Urgent Care operates with severe diagnostic incompetence and deeply concerning billing tactics. 1. Reckless Misdiagnosis: I came in for hand swelling. NP Talar Moy failed to take a basic occupational history and blindly diagnosed me with acute gout simply because I consume beef. She prescribed Prednisone. My uric acid lab came back at 5.7 the normal range. I did NOT take the steroids. My hand completely resolved naturally in less than 24 hours -- a physical timeline that completely rules out gout and confirms a simple mechanical strain. 2. Refusal to Communicate: When I messaged the patient portal to ask why I was diagnosed with gout despite normal labs, LVN Erin provided a blatantly contradictory response and then closed the communication thread so I couldn't ask follow-up questions. 3. Unethical Management & Coercive Billing: The most alarming part was the phone call from the Irvine Clinic Manager. When I called billing dept and froze the bill and asked more investigation on the details, and the clinically disproven diagnosis, she told me: Urgent Care has "no obligation" to clarify contradictory test results. Even if a diagnosis is completely wrong, simply documenting it on my permanent record fulfills their "duty of care." MemorialCare expects patients to schedule and pay for an entirely separate PCP visit just to fix the Urgent Care's errors. When I stated I would escalate this to Headquarters and my insurance, she was dismissive even asking what "HQ" meant and threatened that their system would relentlessly pursue me for payment via mail, app notifications and text messages despite the active clinical dispute. This clinic is a textbook example of substandard care and intentional waste of patient resources. The healthcare providers have no empathy for their patients. The only thing they care about is whether you pay the bill.

I could not have asked for a better experience and staff. The tests took place on 2 different floors and from the moment I checked in the staff went over and above from efficiency to personality. The last test was a two part test and I was met by Al Miranda who was the most friendly person of the day. He explained everything thoroughly . He was patient and knowledgeable and walked me through every step. His communication skills were impeccable and his personality shined through. My kids laugh that I love Orange Coast because who wants to go to the doctor or hospital but if you have to they are top notch.

Renee in sales made it a breeze and even came in on a Sunday to get us all set last week so my Mom could move in. My mom says it's been great and she has been meeting a lot of friendly people. The food has been awesome. My mom loves all the options and she said the food is solid. It's only about 83 rooms so you have a lot of privacy and a lot of open spaces. My mom's room she lives in is very spacious and has its own balcony and slider and heater and air conditioner . Every single person that works there is extremely friendly and goes out of their way to accommodate from the guy that just comes in and checks on Mom to make sure she's getting up to go have her meals to the nursing staff and even the incredibly nice maintenance guy. As a former Skilled Nursing Director, I knew it would be hard to find not just a care facility but a true community for her. She was my main concern. Olivia, the coordinator, brings a level of organization that made the transition feal seamless. Julie the secretary, greeted us with warmth every day. Making The Shores feel like home. Kaytlin, the activities director is slowly bringiing my non social mother back into life with her creativity and genuine joy. The employees ooze happiness with their jobs. The service is exceptional and its truly is a 5 star resort for the elderly. The menus are beyond brilliant and the food quality is a chefs kiss! For the past five + years both our parents have been living at Vivante Newport Mesa, dad on the…read moreapartment side, and mom in The Shores where her dementia continued to progress. While what clearly was a life changing decision originally, moving into Vivante has proven time and again to be the best for both. Sadly, we lost our mom last month after an incredible fight she had been putting up for the past few years. Her last ten days truly showed us the incredible "loving care" by so many of Danica Coronel's TEAM. Now, over the years I have visited the facilities hundreds of times. I have gotten to know many of the caregivers, nurses, medtechs, servers, etc., and I have always felt good when leaving that my parents were in great hands. It is always clean and in good condition. We have enjoyed many great meals, met many residents & their families, and created some good memories (under the circumstances). Those "last ten days or so before her passing," REALLY opened my, and many of my family's eyes to the true depth of passion & caring of SO many of the Vivante staff (On the apartment side & especially in The Shores facility). From the smiling greetings by Jojo & Julie, the always positive Vince, Danica & Olivia, the incredibly joyful Alyssa (and mom Debbie), Krista, Ashlee, Elizabeth, Zoila, Jesus, Angela, Pilar, Irizella, Sara, lovely Aricelli who would make mom a nice cup of hot chocolate with a smile & warm words, to the cooks & servers, there are many more to mention. These past years have also opened my eyes to how difficult a job it is, especially to care for those with various stages/levels of dementia.
