Instead, we were put in direct contact with the owner Josie that night. She could not have been more supportive and compassionate with us when we explained what we needed. She immediately sprang into action and came up with a care plan for us that enabled us to keep our family member at home. The quality of care that was provided was top notch and I cannot recommend it enough. I gave them 5 stars, as the top rating on this site but I would gladly give them 10. If you want to get top notch quality care for your loved one, please contact Josie and be assured that you are getting them the best care available.

I can't express enough the overall care and compassion Josie had for my mother and I when we met. She was so incredibly helpful in getting everything set up for mom's home care. Her amazing staff of nurses are absolute angels in my opinion. They were so kind and gentle in caring for my mother, Especially Sally. Josie was so easy to reach and when I had a last minute change in nursing needs for mom, She and her staff made it happen seamlessly and immediately. If you ever find yourself in need for in home care, and if I ever require it again, Josie will definitely be my absolute first call. This is a great professional service provider that, in addition to excellent services, also…read moredelivers care with tenderness and compassion--as if from a member of your own close family. The services for my mother and me began when I picked up their pamphlet at the OrthoVirginia reception area in Fairfax, Virginia. I called, and immediately a very friendly, soft-spoken young lady answered the phone. Her name was Katrina Qassab, and she was incredibly helpful. She said she would contact the doctor's office and gather all the necessary paperwork. Let me tell you, that initial phone call saved us a great deal of time. Katrina made all the arrangements with the prescribing physician for my mother's care, and within a week we received a call that a physical therapist would be coming for an assessment. From that day until now, these providers have been like angels helping my mother. Following the physical therapy assessment, we were scheduled with Ms. Annadea Corino Pagsuyuin (Ms. Dea), the physical therapist. It has been such a blessing to see Ms. Dea, as my mother lovingly calls her. She is like a ray of sunshine when she comes to visit--filling my mother's day with exercises and walking. As a result, my mother is much more mobile. This level of home-based care is exactly what she needs, and we are determined to avoid placing her in a nursing home for as long as possible. After physical therapy, we were scheduled for a nurse's assessment, followed by a social worker's visit. A very kind nurse, Ms. Trisha, came to our home. It felt like being visited by a close family member. She listened carefully, took notes, and conducted her professional assessment with genuine warmth and care. She spent a lot of time with us, trying to determine what my mother would need to be comfortable at home--whether walkers, a commode, or a hospital bed. Before leaving, she told us the next step would be a social worker's visit. To add a personal touch, she hugged both my mother and me, then left her card and personal cell phone number so we could call her if we needed anything. The next assessment was with Ms. Francesca, the social worker, who was equally supportive and professional. She went far beyond the call of duty. She made sure we had power of attorney in place, came to our house, sat with my mother and me in the kitchen, and got to work. She made numerous calls to Fairfax County agencies to find available resources to help us and support my mother. Let me tell you--she saved me countless hours of research, phone calls, and even legal fees as she helped us navigate the maze of Medicare paperwork, senior law, and care regulations. I have never encountered anyone quite like Katrina, Ms. Trisha the nurse, Ms. Francesca the social worker, Ms. Dea the physical therapist, and Ms. Liana the medical director in their level of care, warmth, and support. I highly recommend them for your loved one's home-based care. This is an amazing team of caring, compassionate professionals who will truly go to bat for you.

I have put this off for a while, waiting for the white hot anger to pass before writing this…read morereview. I did not have time to research hospice choices, so I took a recommendation from the facility where the family member was living. They took a long time (more than 2 days) to coordinate with the hospital for release back to the facility. By the time the coordination was done, it was very late in the date (after dinner) when the family member was finally settled back into the facility. We spent over an hour filling out forms with 2 people (a nurse and the case manager). This information was then input into their system and all of the information was mangled. Half of one person's phone number was mixed with someone else's phone number. The address for the facility was typed in with the wrong city, other information was missing. After we were done filling out forms, they nurse called the pharmacy to order medications. At one point while on the phone she asked me if it was okay to order liquid morphine. Why are you asking me? You're the nurse and you're doing the ordering, what do I know? They were supposed to order supplies. They use Amazon. I have ordered supplies to be delivered to that facility for 3 years. It does not take Amazon 3 days to get products there. The person who met with us that first night indicated that they had some supplies in their car. When I reminded them about that, they were hesitant to get them because they didn't want to have to walk back into the facility, so we sent someone out to their car to get them. They could never give us a schedule, a window of time, a day when they would come by to check on the family member. It was always, "we're in the area all the time," "they don't have a set schedule," "they will come every other day or every third day but more often when it gets closer to the end." It was unfortunately a holiday week at the end. Before the holiday I was told they would now be coming out every day. Except they didn't come out every day. They didn't come the day they called to tell me they would come out every day, or the next day which was the holiday or the third day. At 3pm I arrived at the facility to check on things and was told it was the end and called the phone number. They said they would call the nurse. 30 minutes later the facility called the hospice and were told the nurse was on the way. 30 minutes later the director of the facility called and was told the nurse was on the way. 2 hours later the nurse finally showed up. She had never done a pronouncement before, so on her phone, ON SPEAKER, we all had to hear the instructions as they were giving them to her. I ended up calling the funeral home myself. Even though they had this information from the intake, nobody could seem to find the information in their system. I will stop here. Do not use this company.

I knew what services hospice should be providing. My dad did not last very long; maybe two weeks. I received one phone call after a nurse visitation on how he was doing. I saw him every single day. I knew he was gravely ill and yet hospice never called me and told me or my family; Come see him, he will not last the night or provide my family and I status updates after they came to do wellness checks on him. I was not called by hospice the morning he passed. I was called only by the skilled nursing facility where he was staying. And after three weeks since he's passed, they finally called to offer bereavement support. Too late. I had to find it elsewhere. You learned that when you have a loved one dying that death is a business. It's sad, but it's true. Compassion in finding people that truly care and look at your loved one as a human being is harder than you think.
