This just works for me because by the time I think of setting up a pet sitter it is either the middle of the night or I am somewhere where making a phone call is not easily done. Super helpful! Second, when Vanessa first came over to my house my boys fell in love with her. Even my shy guy. She wasn't in the door for 5 minutes before he was trying to climb up her leg. Some people are just animal whisperers - Vanessa is one of those people. Their rates are super awesome and I feel like I am getting a good deal while my boys are well taken care of. Win - win! And finally, I get pictures while I am away! I love that! I wake up in the mornings while I am on vacation and there is a pic of one of my guys hanging out looking happy at home. And when we do get home it is like we never left. They don't seem anxious from being alone, everything is neat and clean and their food and water is always full. Our pet sitter, Karen, was nothing short of amazing--so loving, so attentive, and so patient with our very needy black cat, Jax. She didn't just stop by; she stayed, hung out, and genuinely spent time with him. And even though our gray cat, Dolce, didn't come out very much, she was just as incredible in caring for her and making sure she felt safe and comfortable. Wow... just wow! Backstory: Ironically I believe there's someone named Shauna who operates the website and Yelp(and does a prompt job responding), but John the caretaker is the one who's phone number is associated with the biz, and he is unable to be reached to line up appointments!! (I contacted them a year or two ago when we were considering using them. We didn't end up needing them, but when we tried them last week when we finally did, John did not decide to call us back.) Shirley & Kurt seemed very nice when we met before we left for vacation. They were to come to my…read morehouse daily for 6 days, feed/water my 2 cats, scoop the litter box and give one cat a daily inhaler for asthma. Just got back & it's clear they hadn't been here for days. The cats' water dish was completely dry and when I filled it up for them, they drank for 20 min straight, coming back for more for another 20 min after that. They've never drunk for more than 30 seconds before this incident! There was at least 3 days worth of poop in the box and the inhaler medicine was in the breathing device backwards so I'm sure the cat got no medicine for the entire 6 days. When confronted, they insisted they were here every day. I will not be paying them a dime. I'm concerned my senior cats might have permanent kidney damage from the dehydration. I'm consulting my vet to see what he thinks. I'm filing a complaint with the Humane Society and the BBB. I would not recommend these people if you want your pets to be cared for. I don't think I would even let them take care of my plants. A big NO!

Our adult kids hired Shirley to watch their 2 dogs when they went away for a mini vacation. All that was needed was for them to come and feed and water them. The dogs have a doggie door so letting them out wasn't an issue. Easy! What Shirley DIDN'T know was that my kids' next door neighbor was watching the house also (they hired Shirley as a type of "test" to get a feel for how it would work for a 10 day trip away this fall). After 24 hours of no show, the neighbors finally went to check on the dogs, absolutely no food or water seen. We are thinking that Shirley and her so called business is a scam. They take your money but don't do the job.

Kathy took exceptional care of my cats Bo and Snowball last year while I was out of state for a…read moremonth. Bo is typically shy and hides in the closet but he took to her, left the closet and regularly interacted with her. She went out of her way to spend quality time with them daily. Her communication is excellent and she provided daily updates with pictures. Bo got sick while I was away, she took him to the vet and called me so I could speak with the vet for the entirety of the visit and know exactly what was going on. Afterwards she spent additional time with him daily to make sure he was improving and doing well. He doesn't like taking medication and she immediately took the initiative to buy meat to ensure he took the full course of his medication. Kathy was the only one I trusted to take care of my cats in my absence and she is still the only one I'd trust. A 5 star review doesn't give justice for everything she did and if I could I'd rate her higher.
