Mike was recommended to me by my HVAC guy, and I'm happy to say that he is the real deal. He is a plumber's plumber with real world experience and, best of all, real world stories to tell. Communication was quick and efficient through text message, he was very reasonably priced, on time, and he completed a job that I thought would've taken 2-3 guys. Donnelly's is one of the top rated plumbing and HVAC specialists in the area. It's a shame to see…read morethe volume of poor reviews for this outstanding company. Most of them are just upset to have to be dealing with household management. I understand, but it's not fair. They replaced our water inlet valves for our washing machine - 10/10 service. It was pricey, but you get what you pay for. They didn't charge us for new hoses. The new valves are fantastic. Huge improvement. We also had them upgrade our entire HVAC. They gave us a VERY competitive price. Knocked an entire grand off for booking the same week. Minor issue after install and they called in someone who had technically just ended their shift. Above and beyond. We joined their protection plan for priority scheduling plus a free AC and furnace inspection annually. Holding off on the free plumbing inspection to do our own due diligence first. You only see Donnelly's trucks around my area for a reason. Outstanding quality. My advice would be to seek more estimates for smaller jobs, but do not hesitate for big/important projects. Clean, respectful, down to earth. Highly recommend!

I called Donnelly's to get their assistance with diagnosing an issue with our in-wall Roman-style…read moretub faucet that was experiencing poor hot water flow. After identifying the faucet model number, cartridge size and installation details, I expected the technician to be capable of helping me get over the final hurdle and check everything out. Because it wasn't a "name brand" OEM (it's a Home Depot in-store brand - FLG) that uses a generic cartridge rather than a manufacturer specific one, plus the fact that the faceplate appeared to be secured with silicone caulk (it wasn't - just two rubber O-rings for the opening for the diverter valve and the main cartridge body), he said that his manager could only authorize a COMPLETE VALVE BODY REPLACEMENT - which would have involved removing the tub, tearing out tile and drywall, and several hours worth of work. He wouldn't even touch it other than removing the covers to expose the lock screws that held the handle in place. He said he'd need an Allen key and would have to pull the cover completely off to get to the shutoff valves in the valve body. What self-respecting plumber DOESN'T CARRY ALLEN KEYS to install small handles and hardware? I was so angry that I shut off the water main and the hot water to the house and started disassembling the handle and removing the cartridge before he was even gone. Fifteen minutes later I'd diagnosed that the cartridge was fine, so I went ahead and pulled off the faceplate, found the local shutoff valves, cycled them closed and open again, and then tested the cartridge to find that the water was flowing perfectly! I wasted a $49 diagnostic fee on mediocre service. Plus, the guy smelled strongly of cigarettes, which was very unpleasant. The only thing he did right was put on foot covers when he walked into our home. I want my money back! TLDR: I do not recommend this company. They fleeced us for a diagnostic fee and I fixed the issue myself in 20 minutes.

We woke up to a nightmare scenario on Christmas Eve morning - no water coming from my parents'…read morefaucets. My parents live out in the country (in Montgomery County) and thus aren't connected to any city water supply, with a ground water well that goes down ~235 feet. We had a Christmas Eve party planned for later that evening, followed by a big day with family on Christmas. But without any water, we were completely screwed - I thought we were going to have to call an audible and transfer everything over to my sister's house, which would be less than ideal. Moreover, we didn't know how bad the situation was - there was a drought over the summer of 2024, so we worried our well might have run dry. This had already happened to my parents ground water well back in 1984, forcing them to re-drill the well over 100 feet deeper (a major undertaking for anybody who's gone through this). Given that it was Christmas Eve, we didn't know if anybody would be available to help us; but fortunately, my Dad was able to get ahold of C.S. Garber & Sons in Douglassville, who sent a crew out to us immediately. Shawn and Aidan got to my parents' house around 9 AM, quickly diagnosed the problem, and got to work right away. They determined we had plenty of water in our well (i.e. it didn't go dry) but weren't getting any current from the well pump, which had finally stopped working after 48 years. They got their equipment setup and started pulling the old pump out, which got stuck halfway, leading us to wonder if the well had collapsed. Fortunately, with Aidan's strong frame pulling, they eventually got the pump jarred loose - most likely a large rock was in the way. They even had a brand new ¾ horsepower pump in their work truck, which is exactly what my father wanted to replace our old 1/2 horsepower pump with. Got the new pump hooked up, placed back down into the well and working in no time. They were done before noon and we had zero issues thereafter. Shawn and Aidan are real-life superstars that quite literally saved our Christmas! Can't recommend these guys enough if you're having water issues or an emergency at your house or business.
