I love cheese, so naturally, I was eager to check out this new food truck. We're not big fans of waiting in lines, so we arrived right at 11:30 and were served immediately. I ordered the mac'n'cheese sandwich with pulled pork and bf ordered the hot mess. The total came to $18 (no drinks or sides). Both sandwiches were amazing. The mac'n'cheese was creamy, the pulled pork was smoky, and the bread was a bit sweet. And of course there was some yummy cheese inside to hold it all together. The hot mess was just spicy enough. I would guess that extreme spice combined with cheese might not be that great. There was yummy seasoned ground beef, banana peppers, and a fried egg inside too. Fried to perfection - not so runny that you lose some yolk, but runny enough to drip onto the rest of the sandwich. If the sandwiches were $5 instead of $9, I would be 20 lbs heavier and looking for an apartment next to Cheezy Bizness HQ. It's probably a good thing the cost puts them in the "treat yo' self" category rather than an every day lunch category.

This is a food truck, please post your prices INCLUDING the GST like most of the other trucks in Calgary.

The chicken was cooked well with lots of spice and flavour. You also get your choice of two sides, I had fried plantains and rice and peas. Both sides were very good. The rice and peas are cooked in coconut milk, so they are rich with a mild flavour that is a good juxtaposition for the spicy chicken. The portion size is also very generous, unlike some other food trucks.

We hired Lil' Truck to cater our wedding and they're food was the one thing that kept us from eloping during our wedding planning experience. They hand crafted a menu to suit us specifically and it was the number one thing we bragged about to friends before the event and after. They were able to meet every single dietary restriction but not only that, they did it well. The vegan/vegetarian options were arguably the best on the menu which is rare and hard to accomplish especially when it comes to a big event (and it wasn't pasta!). When I say that I also want to highlight how good their meat mains were too. All the carnivores where just as satisfied as the vegans, which is no small feat. They thought of absolutely everything when planning our wedding and made us feel more like friends than clients. I also appreciated their focus on local and sustainable food sources but while also taking into consideration our (meagre) budget. They made all our food dreams come true. They served our 175 guests cocktail hour, dinner, dessert, AND midnight snack for less per person than an average prime rib dinner. While making each aspect of the event accessable and enjoyable to absolutely all dietary choices, minimizing waste, and focusing on local and sustainable food sources. From the second I saw the black BentoBurrito truck sporting asian style burritos in the parking lot of Market on Macleod, my inner hipster did its happy dance. (Which ironically, isn't a very hipster thing to do.) BentoBurrito takes all the food items you'd find in a Bento Box and wraps it up with a burrito shell into one big mass of love. I could be wrong about this, but I think Bento Boxes are typically a Japanese thing, but BentoBurrito uses ingredient from all over Asia and americanized sushi, serving up items like the Chiki-Rito (Coconut chicken in a peanut sate) and the Cali-rito (kind of like a California Roll but in burrito form.) I've seen other sushi/burrito places (like Sushiritto in San Francisco http://www.yelp.ca/biz/sushirrito-san-francisco?osq=sushirito) but BentoBurrito does it a a little better. Instead of using the Nori as the burrito skin, they just just use a regular flour tortilla and put Nori flakes on the inside to give you the flavour. Much easier to hold, eat, and a little closer to a burritto than mowing on a gigantic sushi roll that hasn't been chopped. They'll fill you up with healthy and tasty ingredients for under $10. Hopefully you'll get a chance to check them out before next summer.

The interior is lively and rustic, with helpful waiters. For the food we decided to try the hot link, brisket, pork spare ribs, bacon wrapped corn on the cob, and deep fried pickles. All the meats were juicy and flavorful, just some solid BBQ all around. The corn and pickles were nice sides, and I think they were good choices overall.
