An off the beaten path hidden gem! Great sweet wines and a very nice atmosphere and pleasant grounds.

Went to a wine tasting today. This place has outdoor picnic area and a pond and firepit. It's a really cute place. They also have wood fired pizza for a bite to eat. The staff was real kind and helpful and explained about the farm and some things they sold. I think it would be great on a nice day to sit out and enjoy a glass of great wine and the surroundings.

We stopped in after hiking at Versailles State Park. We also needed a dog friendly spot since we were also picking up my friend's foster dog after a failed home trial. The winery has a pizza restaurant on site and offers 5 tastings for $7, additional tastings are $1.50. We ordered pizza and headed over to the tasting room for some wine. Unfortunately, our experience was impacted by the dog, who was not behaving well. However, the employees were incredibly nice and understanding, allowing my friend to hide with the dog at the end of the tasting island while we were there. The tasting room is fairly small-I'm curious what they do in the winter. There were a lot of people sitting in the outdoor space, enjoying the beautiful scenery and weather. Like many IN wineries, the reds are made from imported grapes. I typically prefer these but really liked a couple of whites end ended up taking a couple home. The pizza was delicious and a great side to our wine! The winery is a little bit off the main road but is a worthwhile stop if you're in the area or a fun day trip from Indy.

This was my first time visiting this winery. The had just hosted their big end-of-summer celebration fireworks bash the evening before but they were still ready to accommodate plenty of visitors. The stone oven baked pizza was delicious. This spot offers not only a killer spot to grab a bite, but also offer the opportunity to sample and purchase more than a couple dozen house-made wines. I'm no wine connosoire but can tell you they have a wine for all taste pallets. We tried their caramel apple wine made from Indiana brown apples and it HIT! Bought a couple bottles knowing it will pair perfectly for some upcoming fall evenings by the fire. Staff and everyone else around was super friendly. They have plenty of tables and a covered, heated & cooled porch to enjoy for any season. Would definitely recommend giving this place a visit.

Very pretty setting in Indiana. The pizza was delicious and cooked perfectly in the brick oven. Chicago style pizza was great and will definitely be back for the others. The wine is great. I had a semi dry wine at the winery and took one to go called apple crisp. It is infused with apples from the orchard down the street and I can't wait to try it. Will be back!

Wonderful wine with a beautiful yard in the back with tables to eat relax! The wood fired pizza is to die for. The tasting room is very classy and the family that runs the business is there all the time.

Loved their Cabs - bought a bottle of the 2017 Robert Reserve. If you like a dry red, this full bodied blend is for you. Very smooth. We read about their pizzas and they did not disappoint. I had their special which they we're experimenting with, the Luau, pineapple, onion, ham and BBQ sauce. Loved it- their crust is thin and crispy. Perfectly baked. Hubby ordered the Carni - Capicola ham, pepperoni, diced bacon and mozzarella. He is a pizza aficionado and he was pleased as well. They also had live music at 7 pm but we left before they played. This was our first time there and will definitely go back.

    Steuben wine!

Wine with an amazing view? Yes please!…read more The Ridge Winery & Tasting Room knows how to make an afternoon of enjoying wine. I met my family there over the weekend for a fun lunch. The Ridge allows BYOFood, so we brought a spread. And then we bought wine from them. My favorite was the Blackberry Table Wine, which was sweet but balanced. We took over a table on the large patio that overlooks the Ohio River. And man, what a view. There was slight breeze and ample room for everyone to sit, while being socially distant. We watched barges slowly make their way down the river while we chatted and drank. And then inside, The Ridge has a small but fun gift shop. My mom and aunt bought a cheeky glass and T-shirt. The Ridge also offers tastings in case you want to try several fruit wines. I've had better wine in Kentucky/Indiana, but The Ridge's wine plus view and overall atmosphere makes this a must-visit.

I loved every wine I tried and brought several bottles home (which were consumed within a week or so). The tasting room is connected to a couple's home but it isn't weird at all (b/c I thought it would be!) It was so enjoyable to taste the wine, chat with the owners (who were hilarious and in love), then buy our glasses of wine to relax on the deck for girl talk and river views. I look forward to coming back and hope to bring my husband for a relaxing afternoon!

First things first, we (4 of us) put our names on the tea room waiting list. Then we shopped for our gardens. I'd selected the plants I wanted to buy, and then it was time for lunch. Our name was next on the list. We stood waiting for the hostess when a pushy woman and two men climbed onto the porch in front of us. The woman insisted on being seated. The hostess explained that the kitchen was backed up and she couldn't seat them. Said woman loudly insisted that they 'only wanted to sit and they wouldn't be ordering anything'. A manager came out and the old woman tried to establish that a relationship existed with her and the owner. She insisted again that they be seated. They were, and immediately got wine, silverware and menus. All of this in front of us, the party that was standing waiting. At that point we said we were next on the list, but since they had not only been seated, but served before us we would leave without eating and without buying the plants we'd come to purchase. The kicker is that there were MANY seating choices outside in the shade that these people should have been directed to rather than being seated in front of us. And we left - never to return. We didn't even get an "I'm sorry." Addendum, all was not lost. We drove to a new-to-us restaurant in Seymour IN, and had great service and great food for much less than this would have cost! Addendum 2: to the person who responded to this review yesterday, thank you. I can't find your response now, but I appreciate your comments and that you took the time to explain the situation.
