G&S Auto Sales

Junk Cars, Unprofessional, and Clueless - AVOID G and S Auto Sales at All Costs…read more Buying a 2012 Volvo XC60 from G and S Auto Sales has been one of the worst decisions I've ever made. This place is a complete scam operation disguised as a dealership. Just days after buying the car, the check engine light came on. I brought it back immediately, and instead of actually fixing the problem, they just shut the light off and told me it was "nothing serious" -- supposedly something that wouldn't matter until the next emissions test, which they claimed had already been passed. Fast forward a few weeks, and I got a notice that the car needed an emissions test -- which it has now failed MULTIPLE times. Since then, I've had to pay out-of-pocket for a new battery, transmission, catalytic converter, and O2 sensors. This car has drained my bank account, and every time I went back to them for help, they either brushed me off or pretended they fixed it. Nothing was ever actually resolved. The final straw? I left the car with them for FOUR business days to finally get the issue fixed. When I came in to check on it, the car hadn't been touched. I asked to speak with the manager, and when I finally found him, he was literally more focused on bidding in an online auction than talking to me about the car they've failed to fix since day one. The mechanics have no clue what they're doing, and the manager is completely unprofessional, careless, and shady. It's clear they're just trying to flip broken cars, silence complaints, and squeeze as much money as they can out of customers while dodging accountability.

I've purchased a new Rav4 in '18 and a new 4runner in '19. I get all my service and modifications…read moredone at Charles. The staff is courteous, and the mechanical work is on par. They fixed electrical work on my VW that stumped other local shops I went to after throwing away diagnostic fees. If my car broke down in another state, I'd tow it back here to get it fixed. It's hard enough finding mechanics you can trust, let alone mechanics that know what they're doing. I plan to buy a new truck from them for my new LLC. I just called to get an oil change, they're booked three days out. They have 30 cars for oil changes per day (i asked), which speaks volumes, knowing all the competition right down the road. Just look at their G00gle reviews... almost five stars for 450+ reviews. For the most part people just come on yelp to complain.

I bought a 2024 Chevy Trailblazer from Richard Radlo just four months ago back in April, 2025. He…read moreassured me that the car was in perfect condition and even said he personally knew the previous owner, so he could vouch for how well the car was maintained. He claimed it had been inspected bumper-to-bumper by his technicians and was completely road-ready. Well, that turned out to be a lie. Just a few months later, I had the car looked at by another dealership--and they found that two of the tires were dangerously worn, with the tread measuring under 3! They even provided video proof with the actual measuring tool showing the low tread. When I called Richard to address it, he brushed me off and said there was nothing he could do unless he "saw the tires." He also accused the other dealerships of lying, even though I had clear evidence. When I pointed that out, he had nothing to say and refused to reimburse or help in any way. Richard talks a good game, but he sold me an unsafe vehicle and took no accountability when called out. Please don't fall for his charm--he will lie to make a sale and leave you hanging afterward. Go somewhere reputable. You deserve honesty.

WARNING TO POTENTIAL BUYERS -- Ocean Honda Group, Groton, Connecticut…read more I do not usually write reviews, positive or negative, but my family is dealing with a serious situation that others should know about. Using the Navy Federal TrueCar buying service, I referred a close family member to Ocean Honda Group in Groton, Connecticut, because I believed purchasing from a reputable dealership would be safer than buying from a wholesale dealer. Unfortunately, that belief turned out to be misplaced. In February 2026, my family member visited the dealership to view and test-drive a dark gray metallic Honda CR-V that had been advertised through the buying service as a 2022 model. She test-drove that specific vehicle and agreed to purchase that same vehicle based on the dealership's representation that it was a 2022 Honda CR-V. It was only later, in April 2026, after she had already made one payment and was approaching a second, that the dealership informed her the vehicle she had been driving was actually a 2020 Honda CR-V, while her purchase agreement listed a 2022 Honda CR-V. In other words, the vehicle she test-drove, agreed to purchase, and took delivery of was the 2020 Honda CR-V from the very beginning, but it had been presented and sold to her as a 2022 model. To be clear, this was the same vehicle the dealership delivered to her, registered, and placed license plates on. The dealership asked that the vehicle be returned so they could "remedy the situation." When we brought it back, the manager informed us they were waiting for the vehicle matching her contract VIN to be returned by another buyer. We asked how such a serious error could have happened, but no clear explanation was provided. Now, several days later, they are still waiting to recover the correct vehicle. Nearly three months after purchase, and after making payments, my family member is now without a car while this situation remains unresolved. The explanation given was that the two vehicle colors were "so close you couldn't tell the difference." That was difficult to accept, since one vehicle is silver and the other is dark gray. This experience raises serious concerns about inventory control, paperwork accuracy, and customer service. My advice to anyone considering purchasing from this dealership: Verify that the VIN on the vehicle matches all paperwork before signing. Confirm that the VIN matches your insurance and registration documents. Review every dealership document carefully. Do not assume everything has been verified correctly. Their advertising emphasizes trust, but trust must be supported by accuracy, accountability, and proper handling of mistakes. Based on this experience, I would not refer friends or family members to this dealership again.
