I was set up with Natalie and we started discussing details of what I was looking for. When I asked her for her experience she gave me a vague answer and didn't tell me she only had 6 months of experience until I specifically asked her. I then asked her to send me photos of other blonde dye jobs she had done in the past to confirm she could do hair similar to what I was looking for. After asking this she immediately shut me down and said that it seems like I'm not sure of her skills and that no other stylist could take me either. To me this came off as though she had never done hair similar to what I was looking for and that's why she couldn't provide me with pictures. The questions I asked were standard for any client looking for a new stylist and I wish she had responded appropriately and was just honest with me. I am always willing to give a new stylist a chance as long as they communicate their capabilities clearly with me.

But I'm soooo happy I took the chance and made the appointment! I wanted blonde highlights but I wanted them very cool toned and haven't had much luck with this in the past. My hair tends to turn brassy so I spoke with Jess about what my goals were and she exceeded my expectations! Not only was the experience itself great, I also got my makeup professionally done by Heather and it has NEVER looked so good. After Jess and Heather were finished with my hair and makeup, they brought in some cute clothes and we had ourselves a little photoshoot.
